Really cute restaurant with friendly service and good food. We started with the Orange Allie which is a creamsicle drink. We dined on the Hen House and the Chicken Biscuit and both were cooked to perfection.

Excellent breakfast here kicked off an enjoyable visit with my brother. I will certainly choose to dine here the next time I'm in the area.

A pleasant surprise in a small town with just a few bumps. This is a lovely restaurant in downtown Marshville that we decided to try on a whim when someone posted about it on FB. I don't normally eat a cooked breakfast so this was indeed a special occasion. Atmosphere: My first impression was that it was clean and well appointed without going overboard. One thing off putting was that they had a cable news station on and it was one of the more divisive ones. While I understand that probably at least half of their clientele enjoy that station. The other half would immediately feel like they don't belong. As a result, I felt like it would have been better to let the news junkies get their news at home and just have tv programs on that were apolitical. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. Food: as with most places, they were short staffed and while it took a sec for our food, it wasn't too bad! The coffee was good. We had a little concern when we got there and we're informed that they didn't have any water pressure for the coffee machine but somehow they managed to get us some coffee. We also had juice and there's a basic set of choices. I ordered the chicken and waffles and the chicken was well prepared and NOT over cooked as is often the case in smaller areas. The waffle was light and just-cooked. My partner had the biscuits and gravy and felt like they were pretty good (I think they are nasty so I didn't try!) with good flavor. Overall, I would eat here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a good breakfast and a nice short hop from the surrounding towns.

Delightful surprise to enjoy delicious chicken biscuit and sweet strawberries in a cool comfy updated old building on Main Street. In town for a sporting event at Wingate U. Waitress was as sweet as the strawberries. Reasonable prices

Ate here recently with the family. The food and service was both good. It's nice having a decent restaurant in town. Give it a try.

There is a long coffee flag so that's when you know that you are in the correct place. The different name on the building through me off. It's very spacious inside with plenty of seating. We were greeted and given menus which we then found a high top table, sat down and looked it over. We decided on the Alyssa crepes and morning glory sandwich. Allysa crepe- I would have ordered another plate if we didn't have another 2 hr drive to go. Between the fluffy eggs and the combination of the ingredients with absolutely mouth watering. I asked for hot sauce and it was complete. I would drive out of my way to come back here again. Morning glory sandwich- I don't know who raised these chickens to give such a different taste to them, but they were raised right. These were definitely happy chickens. Hard to explain but this sandwich and those fluffy eggs will keep you wanting more. Everyone there is so sweet and I'm happy to have had the experience of such an excellent breakfast. This is a rare find and I will be revisiting again.

A quick check of the map showed Nana's Coffee was right on our route, so it became an easy and welcome stop. The storefront is small and unassuming, tucked into a quiet stretch of road, but inside it opens up into a cozy space that doubles as both ice cream parlor and coffee shop. There are plenty of tables, and I got the impression they'd be perfectly fine with someone settling in for a while with a laptop if you're looking for a remote cowork spot with a bit of charm. We ordered a latte, and it was excellent. Generous foam piled high, with very hot coffee underneath that held its heat all the way through. The drink was well-balanced, not too bitter, and served with a quiet warmth that matched the atmosphere. Nana's Coffee may not be flashy, but it's clearly a place that values hospitality. Whether you're pausing mid-journey or looking for a low-key place to work, it's well worth the stop. The blend of ice cream, espresso, and relaxed seating makes it feel like a little pocket of comfort tucked into the day. [Review 1319 of 2025 - 4448 in North Carolina - 24871 overall]
