No problem, we will just call them and get 2 side splashes. when I called customer service they said "we don't sell side splashes" . The first day of our countertop/backsplash search we went to MSI, and met Tijana. She helped us pick out something we loved, and we were out in an hour. I couldn't believe we were done so soon, but we were. Over the next few weeks, we visited other showrooms, changed the quartz, changed the backsplash, etc. Then I discovered the "kitchen visualizer" function on the MSI website that actually helps you see different pictures of your quartz and backsplash with your floor and cabinet color. We were still set on our combo, until we found out our next-door neighbor was remodeling and putting up a second-story, cutting out some of our kitchen light. We made a last-minute decision, and went back to the original materials that Tijana picked for us on that very first day. We're so glad we did, and the kitchen is going to be gorgeous!!! read more

I am not a contractor but went to MSI at the recommendation of one and was so happy with the customer service. I was looking for vinyl plank flooring and prefab quartz countertops (wanted a preview before I had my contractor go with me) which are small potatoes for this place. However, that didn't factor in at all to my treatment and the service I got. Maria Morris was exceptional, showed me full size samples of the flooring in the warehouse, explained some differences in the vinyl options and then took me to the countertop showroom. She made recommendations based upon the size of my job and budget (as well as durability) and couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. I recently bought a slab of quartzite for my kitchen countertop from MSI, through my contractor Artful Craftsmen. MSI sells only to contractors, but the public is invited to come into the massive air-conditioned building and browse leisurely through the thousands of beautiful slabs of granite, quartzite, marble, onyx, and quartz. I received very attentive help from operations/salesman Chirag Patel, and I recommend him highly. He gave me his cellphone number so I could text him questions any time, and he always answered me within minutes. I also believe he arranged a very fair price for the unique Crystal Ice quartzite slab I chose. I shopped at several other places in the Burbank/Sun Valley area, and I rate MSI the best and most reasonable. read more

My contractor sent me there to pick out stone for countertops. Home Depot was a lot cheaper but was going to take 4- 6 weeks. I am trying to sell the property ASAP so went here instead. I was told to ask for Val and I am glad I did. She was definitely a highlight in a often frustrating renovation project. She was kind, personable and informative. I explained it wasn't for myself so I wanted to be budget conscious- she helped me pick something neutral but pretty very quickly. Apparently you need an appointment to visit this showroom. My tile installer made the arrangements and a young man named "Chirag" helped me make my selections. The showroom is clean, vast and not busy, which is great. Chirag showed me a large selection of slabs and helped me match the slabs to my tile. They were able to move a bunch of slabs with their convenient hydraulic slab mover so I could properly book match my selections to my desire. After all was said and done, I realized that none of the selections I made matched my cabinet colors. After 2 hours of working together, I hadn't accomplished a thing which was a waste of my time as well as the salesman's. I felt bad but Chirag was so accommodating and understanding that an uncomfortable exchange never took place. There was no pressure at all, making it easy for me to go back better prepared and start all over again. That is so cool! Great place, great people, great service. My contractor sent me over after I had been to many granite yards outside in the heat of summer. Thank god all the granite and marble was inside. The whole staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. So much to choose from which is great. They even sell tile and porcelain that is on display on the floors and in the front of the showroom. The place is very clean and good prices. I was surprised by the good reviews for this company. Maybe they're better in California. I was looking to cover a fireplace with stacked stone. My tile store had some samples from MSI that looked alright, so I decided to research the company. If you go on their website you have to fill out a form for them to contact you, you can't contact them. You can't even put in a zip code to find retailers. I did get a call back relatively quickly from a guy who didn't speak English well. I asked to speak to a tech and then got a call from what sounded like a castmate from The Sopranos. He spoke with confidence and I found out he was completely clueless with the first question. When asked what size trowel to use on his product he said 1/8". Like I said clueless. They supply the garbage that Home Depot sells. That was enough for me. read more
