I've been using MMP OB/GYN for several years (and through three pregnancies) and have been…read moredelighted with them. Dr. Takyi delivered my first, Dr. Herta my second, and I'm currently pregnant with No. 3. Dr. Herta is my primary OB, and I love her, but I've liked all of the OBs, NPs and the CNM that I've met there. The nurses are fantastic (one in particular always goes out of her way to aak about my kids), and the front desk staff has always been friendly and helpful. On the occasions when I've had a problem, someone has always gotten back to me right away. My current baby has given us a lot of worries, but whenever I've called in with a question or concern, they've gotten me in right away for a checkup (and ultrasound, if necessary). A good friend also went through a pregnancy with some unknowns (due to her own health issues) with Dr. Herta and was very happy with her. MMP OB/GYN is definitely known around town as one of the more natural childbirth-friendly practices. In the two deliveries I've had with them, there were minimal interventions (as per my request), and I felt like both were fantastic experiences. My only complaint about the practice is that it can be a little difficult to get in, particularly to see Dr. Herta, of you aren't pregnant or having a major problem, or if you're a new patient.

I really wish that we had shopped around more. We've both seen several different doctors, because it can be difficult to make an appointment with the doctor they assigned as our primary care physician. After initially seeing him for my physical, I returned two weeks later for a pap smear and he didn't remember me. With a few exceptions, the staff do not come across as friendly, and I usually feel like I'm inconveniencing them simply by being there for my appointments. When I've brought health concerns to the doctors I've seen, they have repeatedly dismissed or ignored my reports, sometimes allowing treatable conditions to worsen before they take them seriously enough to treat them. When my husband developed sciatica, he received no advice or treatment at all until his third visit to seek treatment. He was simply told to wait and see if it went away, despite the fact that it was causing him a great deal of pain. When he was finally referred to a physical therapist, his pain decreased drastically and he has been able to maintain the improvement at home. MMP has been singularly unhelpful compared to the various other doctors/facilities I've used in the past. We're moving soon, and I can't wait to shop for a doctor who'll actually be able to see me at appointments and who will actually treat me promptly if I'm sick or in pain.

Reviewer's note: this is based solely on speech therapy services rendered (and provided) to my…read more(almost) eight year daughter. The staff is friendly, communicative, and typically have a smile on. The waiting room is open, and allows a view to the rehabilitation gym (the pediatrician portion is behind a small barrier, to allow pediatric OT and PT services to be rendered). Speech language pathology services are executed in an office, in which, you're free to join and participate with (in this particular case, I join in on ST sessions with my daughter; to learn any new methods, possible equipment, communicate with the SLP [speech language pathologist]). It's a little small (the office), but it offers an intimate session for parents/client to therapist. In my daughter's case, she was born premature due to an automobile accident, so no-fault auto covers the cost. Check your insurance to make sure you're covered in network or out of network, and any deductibles you may need to pay. NOTE: coordinated policy allows your health provider to work with your auto insurer (or whomever insured you at the date/time of loss). In this scenario, for example, BCBSM (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan) pays for a portion first, then no-fault auto picks up the rest. Currently, we've been working on straw drinking, and continuing goals from our prior establishment of therapy, in which we still have services at; while creating and maintaining new goals. So far, we have been satisfied with the two SLPs we've had render services. Note that every therapist is different. Find one that clicks with you, and/or your child (if pediatric services applies).

We had a moment of confusion concerning my gender, but the Medical Staff was only unfamiliar with my paperwork dilemma. ("Is this an Insurance form or a Medical Form?" is the sort of question a Non-Binary person has to ask when there is only a binary checkbox and it is almost never labeled with the correct terminology. Obvs, nobodies fault stuff like that happens all the time. :) The Medical Assistants were all quick, efficient and genuinely pleased to be of service! They got me in early for my appointment too. I won't say my Doctor's name, but they were openly and respectfully curious as to how they might be of service to a Transgender Person, when so often the past told a different story. :( My Doctor addressed my every concern and meeting with them was very pleasant. The fish tank next to the check-out desk has an _Actual_Literal_Sea_Urchin_! They are very black, except for their orange rude part, and about nine inches across. The Staff Person at the check-out desk was friendly and enthusiastic! They walked me through every step of the check-out process with a smile! The Medical Assistant thanked me for coming in today! I am totally 100% assured that they will follow up with me at every opportunity and that our relationship will continue to be successful and pleasant.

She never did, went there the next day in person and spoke to a nurse practitioner (Beth)who changed the prescription. Her attitude was horrible, told me I was rude for asking to speak with someone in person. She said that my situation was not an urgency, and that it was rude to show up in person to ask for the correction to be made. Then she went on to claim that the reason behind their ineptness was lack of employees. Let me be frank, she is an awful person with a passive aggressive attitude who should not be allowed to speak with patients. Please avoid this place

They were able to squeeze me in with less than 24 hours notice. Also I have no insurance and was worried about the cost. My surgeon was, Schiro William A DDS and he was very helpful by letting me pay half at the time of the extraction and half the next day. He was gentle and very thorough in explaining why and how everything was going to happen.The ladies here in the rooms and at the desks were also great. I have no complaints about my experience here. It was on a Friday we'd called several offices and were even told "good luck trying to get an appointment, you're not going to find one". We called Dr. Zand's Office And were treated with the most urgency and care. He even told him he'd do a deep cleaning right after. My dad wasn't super sore or anything after, and is so happy. Will definitely be going here myself now that I'm heading to State for school!
