Extremely disappointed. I came in for a women's hair cut and asked for long layers and Ushaped hair cut. My hair ended up extremely choppy, short and VShaped. They do ask towards the end of the hair cut if it looked okay but I was so traumatized I just paid and left. Women's hair cut was $25. I would not recommend this place to any other woman looking to cut their hair. Originally I was trying to go to the salon next door and thought it was connected to each other but they are two different separate stores. Excellent prices and walk up wait times are usually short unless you want to wait for a specific person. I have been here over 40 plus times in the last 2 years and have never had a bad haircut. I also bring my two boys here and they love it especially the lollipop at the end. Ask for Nancy she is very good with the kiddos! It is a family run business and accept cash only. I believe there may be an option for Venmo/zelle if you ask nicely. They sell water bottles and soft drinks for cheap. They also sell lotto tickets so you can win the millions! I don't think this place knows what a fade is. I asked for a mid fade and somehow I came out with buzzed sides. Also, the lady who was cutting my hair was on her phone the whole time, sometimes she would just stop cutting and focus on her phone call instead, so unprofessional. When I came out, I realized I was itchy and it was because they left the door open so mosquitoes would bite anybody inside. Wouldn't recommend to anybody. read more

I don't know if the other barbers are like this but I got my haircut from this woman and she genuinely ruined my day. First off I asked for an undercut and she didn't understand and I had it google it up for her and she still messed it up somehow. I showed her how much I wanted the top of my hair to be cut off and she cut 1-2 inch too short. She then cut off the hair at the back shorter which she didn't ask me if she can do that and further messed up my hair. Mom, dad and son are so friendly and my kids are picky with which barbers touches their hair 7,5 years old and 16 months. Today my 16 month old got his first hair cut there and it was a success. We moved to Orange but I still make the drive out here on weekends so my kids are happy. Checked out the reviews and it didn't seem too bad so I went inside to give it a shot. A gentlemen named Giao sat me down and gave me a high skin fade. This place is legit! There plenty of barbers to keep the line moving. They cut my hair exactly how it's supposed to be cut. I have the easiest standard haircut and so many barbers in the area always messed it up one way or the other. They do the exact job and no pointless chitchat, I love that. Have been coming here since I moved to Garden Grove 2 years ago. I have 3 sons. Paying $18 for each kid ($21 with tip) where I use to live to charging me only $6 here at MT???? I feel like I'm robbing them so I tip as well as I can so they don't go out of business. They do get busy which is also means they are worth coming to. Literally don't go hear unless you want your hair all messed up I asked specifically for a mid skin fade and nothing on top ( knowing from my last experience you have to be very specific). On one side of my head is literally a high n tight while the other side of my head is a boot leg version of a mid high fade... actually it's not even a fade it's just a cut off. And my hair was a solid good 4 inches before I could slick it back but now when I try to it's way to short and some spots on top of my head look like patches are missing. Usually go here and I'm a regular but I would really emphasize letting them know what you want for your haircut and literally guiding them for what you want. I said to give the top of my hair a small trim and clean it up with the sides being fades. I ended up having extremely short hair. Woman wouldn't stop even after telling her it's way too short. I walked in to a lot of Vietnamese talk between employees and customers but once it was my turn I was welcomed by a very pretty young lady ( forgive me for getting your name) that had the station to the far left. I recently moved to the area and decided to give MT Barber a go since the reviews seemed good and it is very close to my new place. But I had one fear...I wanted to go with a brand new style and that always makes me anxious...especially doing it at a new place. Well, I was very happy with the results. I had a fade done and it looks clean and is a major improvement over my previous hairstyle. They are also reasonably priced. I was going to a chain previously and the prices were more expensive and the quality worse. In my future visits, I will be tipping very well for the nice customer service and the quality cut. Cheap consistent haircuts for $8 a pop?? Can't ask for more than that! Open 7 days a week with more than 5 barbers working each day explains their short wait time. The longest I've ever waited was 15 minutes, if that? My previous barber would charge me $20 a haircut and that's not including the tip.. getting a haircut is inevitable, so why not save a buck or two without compromising the quality.
