Another $5 barbershop? These guys are OK and if you want a cheap and decent haircut, this is a good place to go. Out the door for $6-7. I don't think it comes close to my usual place down the street but I am paying $20 a haircut there. This place has great value and the wait wasn't long but the barbers don't speak good English. I recommend you bring pictures or talk slow and repeat yourself. It was worth the $7 I paid today but I will go back to my regular place and pay $20 a haircut. This place opened up a few months ago with a big banner saying men's haircuts are only $5. When you go inside the head barber is an vietnamese guy who speaks some english but doesn't quite understand. Here is why. 1. The first time I went in there, the haircut was $5, but only because I asked. I gave the man $20 and he gave me $16 in change. So I tipped a few dollars in tip and left. 2. The second time I went in, same guy, but this time after he finished he told me $7. I asked him why he changed the price, he chuckled and said, "omg... so sorry, it is $5." So I gave him $20 and he gave me my change. 3. The third time I was here he cut my hair again. But this time, he cut it so short that the back was horribly uneven. The front was too short and looked like he just started cutting for the first time in his life. I stopped him from cutting and asked him what he thought he was doing? He replied that he was sorry and would fix it. How do you fix hair that is already 3/4 of an inch and make it shorter??? I asked for a simple fade and leave the top longer, about 2 1/2" on the top. I left that place with disgust. If you get a haircut from any of the other so called " barbers " be aware that they hire recent graduates from cosmetology school. This place is a no frills kinda barbershop. Tom and his wife are both true professionals when it comes to cutting hair and at $5 for a haircut I can cut my hair 3 times for the price of a super cuts. Don't come to MT barber expecting to get fancy with your hair but if you need a basic haircut , it can't be beat. I've been cutting my hair here for 2 years and my only complaint is that sometimes I can't understand them due to their accent. Tom is the best! He's my 5 year old sons favorite Barber. Great customer service he is patient with my son and takes his time. Sometimes there is a wait but it's definitely worth it. He talks to my son while cutting his hair and at the end always gives him candy. My son loves Tom He won't let anyone else touch his hair. read more

Today was my 5th time coming here. I haven't had any problems until today. I asked for number one half on the sides and to leave one inch on top. It was 10:30am and the barber seemed like he was rushing through my haircut, even though there was only 1 customer waiting in line. He didn't use any water when cutting the top, even though all my last visits they have used water. And he didn't ask if I wanted to cut my sideburns, he just left them. At the end, I asked "What number did you use on the sides?" and he said "One and a half." I said I wanted "one half, not one and a half." Then he was like "Yeah I cut it one and a half." So they don't understand that "one half" means 1/2 and not 1 1/2, so you have to be extra clear on that. Also, there is a sign on their window that says men's haircuts are going to be $6 instead of $5 starting June 1st, 2017. At the end of my haircut, I gave him a $10 bill and he gave me $4 back. I asked him why it was $6 when I've been coming here for the past couple months and it's always been $5. After a bit he was like "ok fine" and gave me $5 back. If you're looking for a place that is unskilled, unprofessional, and crappy service. Congratulations, you found the right place. I took my little brother here to get a fohawk. The old man there gave him something else. I specifically said that I wanted my little brother to get a fohawk. I even asked him if he can do it. He said yes confidently. After the cut, I asked him to use gel to spike my brother's hair up. Instead he told us to go home and do it. I would have understand if they're about to close or something, but that's not the case, we went in the afternoon and it wasn't even crowded. When I told the old man that we don't have gel at home, he told us to go to Walmart to buy it. I asked him again if he could put my brothers hair up so I can see if it needs to be shorter. He had a giant bottle of gel right on his counter, but he kept refusing. Horrible customer service. When we got home, I told my brother to put his hair up, and I was right, it was too long. It was more than 5 inches long. It was too long to even spike up. You shouldn't say you know how to cut someone's else hair when you don't. His customer service, his skills, his attitude. Went to this place today because its next to my house and the price is good. $5 for haircut, now I understand why its cheap. The barbers aren't professional . Told them so many times to fix the side of my hair because it was uneven and they look at me if I was crazy. Alot of customers were waiting and when a new customer sat on the chair for their haircut the haircutter/trimmer weren't even clean.
