Went to Mt Everest last week for lunch, all i can say is WOW. i ate all i could and still had enough for dinner that night. The server advised that on the weekends they do a buffet and i am ready to try it out. the price is reasonable and i can't wait to try more things from there. read more

I love Indian food. I finally got to try this place out for the fist time. The inside isn't much to look at. It's pretty small with a few tables. I went on a Monday around lunch hour. It wasn't too busy. Service was great and very attentive. My friends and I ordered a few dishes we wanted to try out. I am already looking forward to coming back and trying out some more food. Their butter chicken and the naan combo is amazing! I forgot what the red chicken was but it was very good too. Overall, I enjoyed the food here and can't wait to try it again. We ventured off of our normal path to try this restaurant. All we know about Indian food is buffet versions we have attended with Indian friends. Never had Nepalese food. We read a couple of reviews about rude servers, but Americans can be rather narrow in their views of people. The Indian/Nepalese people we have met are kind and courteous, but their personalities are not American! Treat them with respect and kindness and you will get their best! Just like other humans. I digress! On to the food!! Absolutely tasty food. We asked for recommendations from the two servers, and they were patient and asked questions to decide what we might like. They were spot on! The meal started with chickpea cups and a couple of sauces - one of them mint flavor, the other a sweet chili oil taste. My husband was craving a thick, rich tomato sauce with chicken (ended up with Butter Chicken) and he raved about it. Just as described. I asked for a veggie recommendation and the young lady suggested Veggie Korma and told me all of the veggie dishes were the best. I was most pleased with my selection - what looks like some veggies in a creamy sauce was a party in my mouth! The flavor was outstanding. We made a mistake of telling them spicy level 2, thinking of Thai levels (up to 5) and got no heat. Afterward they told us the scale is up to 10, so I will probably try a 7 or higher next time. Live and learn! The garlic naan was the best we've had - perfectly crispy on the bottom from the Tandoori oven, and puffy buttery garlic heaven on top. The restaurant itself is a cozy and small place with plenty of activity. Several outdoor tables as well. The staff bent over backwards to help us, and checked on us multiple times. To Begin with we were greeted with friendly staff. I came to try their lamb. The Roganjosh lamb at a five on the spice scale(1-10).well balanced dish super delicious. My dinning companion ordered the chicken biryani also level 5. The right amount of spice, not baby food and not burn your face off. Also had hot tea and garlic nann bread. Also, some new flavors made it interesting. The Tandoori Chicken was some of the best I have ever had. It was not dry, it was tender and had great flavor! After reading some of the other reviews I had high expectations for the food. Buffets don't always have a restaurants premier dishes. When I go back I will try a specific dish from their menu. Easily some of the best Indian food I've had. My family was visiting OKC and it's a tradition that every time we go on a trip, we get Indian food. The service here was very nice and we got our food in a timely manner. To start, you get complimentary papad (or papadum) with some chutneys. We decided to start with some appetizers and ordered the momo vegetable chilly at a 10 spice level, and a samosa chat at an 8 spice level. If you've grown up eating Indian or spicy food, none of the food will actually be spicy to you. The momos had a nice kick to them and were absolutely delicious. The samosa chat was also a hit with the family. For entrees we ordered a veg thali, chicken tikka masala, chow mein, garlic naan, and aloo naan. Let me break this down: Veg Thali - An assortment of entrees to try. Was a great way to have a variety of things. Most of the dishes were great. Chicken Tikka Masala - Hands down the BEST I've had. Not only is the masala so creamy and flavorful, but the chicken is bite size! Chow Mein - Not as flavorful as other dishes, but still good. Garlic Naan - Very fresh! Aaloo Naan - A MUST try! The filling was so, so good. Our dinner cost us around ~$65. For 5 people and this quality of food, that's an amazing price. Wish I could go back. I feel like I've inconvenienced them by coming in to dine or order out. Also they're really expensive...the chicken tikka masala nearly costs $20 and that's good for 1 person! I hate writing this, because I've been here many times and the food is great. We found Mt. Everest during Covid and have done carry out each time. Today we went and did dine-in. This is where my Mt. Everest story may end. There were several bugs (roaches) crawling on the walls right at our table. We counted at least 3. We promptly got up and began to leave. I told one of the waitresses and pointed one out, she looked really close and said oh okay. She never returned, so I told the person at the register and she said okay sorry as well. This was so yummy. Literally every bit of it was good. There were two types of naan, one with garlic and herbs and one plain. The garlic one was my favorite. I had the spinach pakora, which is spinach and a homemade fresh cheese snd I poured it over rice and it was yummy. They had so many great dishes on their buffet. They also had excellent gulab jamon and rice pudding and even had chai tea as part of the buffet. The employees were polite and attentive. I am so excited to have such good Nepalese and Indian food so close to our house. I've never lived this close to good Indian food... who would have thought it would take moving to this quaint little burg to get good Indian close?? I had an event in OKC on Wed night, and my husband ordered this for us when I was leaving. It was ready when I got there, and they threw in a mango lassi as well. We loved the butter chicken, palak paneer and the tandoori chicken. The samosas were excellent, and so was that free lassi. And the naan... finally a place with perfect naan where they also give you enough with your standard order. The service was fast and friendly, our food was ready on time, and piping hot when we got it home. I imagine I'll be here every few weeks for some incredible takeout, especially since we discovered that the kids absolutely loved it. I think that's a pretty big parenting win! read more
