The service here is terrible. I tried doing a pick up order on Mother's Day and the girl on the phone told me to call back in 30 minutes to place the order. I called back and she told me they weren't taking pick up orders. I reminded her that she had told me to call back and she still denied me the order. When I asked to speak to a manager she told me no. She was super difficult to deal with and wasn't flexible. Very disappointing and ruined our Mother's Day plans. read more

Have been a loyal customer here for quite a while now.. but my last two visits have been pretty disappointing. Last time we came there was hair in the sushi. None of the sushi chefs wear beard covers. They gave us a small discount on our meal, and handled it well, and of course we came back again. This last visit we were told they do no accept the MyColorado app for electronic ID which was disappointing but it was whatever.. until the server proceeded to allow the table next to us to use their expired ID to order an alcoholic drink. My legit Colorado approved app with a valid ID was not accepted but they accepted the expired ID. We also had more than 6-7 bones or wood splinters in one of the rolls we ordered. I had to inspect and pull out bones before each bite. One of the reasons we have continued to come here was because the service was great, and it's been lacking quite a bit on our last few visits. They've also changed a few things on the menu (the dumplings are different and not as good as the originals). Will be trying out other sushi spots in the area. read more

I used to go here all the time and they used to be great. I was massively disappointed with my experience. They got rid of a lot of great food options. And what I ordered isn't what I got. The fish tasted funny and now I'm extremely sick. They have gone down hill so much it's sad. Going to sushi places cleanliness, and care for the fish is very important. Getting sick from fish can mean lots of different things and sometimes life-threatening. If you don't want to get sick I don't recommend eating here. read more

We popped in here for some sushi after arriving in town to do a college move in. I had my two little dogs with us , so we sat outside in the designated patio tables. We went inside to place our order and then waited, and waited No water was brought, drinks were not made until mentioned. Everything was brought in to go containers and not proper tableware. We are long time regulars (over 10 years with more than 5 visits per year) and had friends in from out of town to take them to our favorite sushi restaurant. We arrived at 5:45 and requested a table for 6 and understood the 45 minute wait. The place is small and there are only a couple spots for 6 or more. We were finally seated after 90 minutes and observing the hostess sitting her 2 friends, who arrived after us, in one of the two 6 seat options and leaving 4 seats empty. It was not so entertaining watching them laugh and joke with their friends sitting among 4 empty chairs while we needed to wait another 45 minutes. This is disappointing for long term generous regulars who were taking friends from out of town to what used to be one of out favorite places. Was 1 star. 3.5 stars. Craving sushi while living in or visiting Fort Collins is a bit of a tragedy. There aren't many options, and highly rated ones at that. But sometimes it be like that. Anyways, Jaws was reasonably priced and relatively nearby for pick-up, so we headed to the shopping plaza where it was located. Plenty of parking along the side of the building. A group of us loitered in front of the restaurant, looking at the menu to decide what we wanted. Lots of great options, but we settled on a few basic tuna and salmon rolls, as well as unagi don. I'm guessing they had a ton of other to-go and delivery orders because the food took awhile (felt like 20-30 minutes) to prepare. We went home with our order, and as expected, the quality was okay. The rice seemed old, and the fish didn't taste fresh. However, I feel like we got what we paid for! No complaints about money wasted. Though it's unlikely I'd come here again (mostly because I'm never in Fort Collins) I did like the unagi don. Small, simple dish. But test out the variety! read more

I've only been to 3 places for sushi in FoCo but this is definitely the best. A friend mentioned to me that Jaw's dine in was still closed but it slipped my mind the Thursday I came for lunch. Easy enough, an employee took my order and payment at the door. She was great about explaining the menu and specialty selections for the day. I went with a lunch combo 2 nigiris and a chum bucket. It's amazing that you can choose any two of the available nigiri for the same price! Note* the chum bucket sounds gross but it's pleasantly delicious. I didn't finish it but was able to throw it in the convention oven the next day and it was still delicious! I ordered 2piece of yellowtail, not only was it fresh, the portion size was perfect. Definitely one of the best if not the best sushi in Fort Collins. I've been here a lot of times. They go all out with their specialty rolls but everything always goes super well together and the fish always tastes as fresh as can be for Colorado. They've got a lot of rolls with cream cheese which I don't like but I just don't order those. the food here is great. definitely a little smaller of a building that what i was thinking so be prepared to be a little squished when it's packed. i bought the seaweed salad ( first time ever trying it. took me a second but i enjoyed the chew and nutty/ salty flavors. only downside was they fluffed it up by putting what i believed was thin radish at the bottom) the dynamite bowl (a very intense flavor pairing but it was amazing and probably my favorite opening food they have) the ceviche plate served with chips (very tasty however there was more fluff in this as well.) lastly, i bought the large sushi combo. this one was the best move of the night. the fish was amazing and it melted in your mouth like butter. all in all, if your looking for a comfy sushi stop go here. read more

When I review on Yelp, I try to take in a variety of different factors in how I provide my rating. Is Jaws Sushi the best sushi I've ever had? No. Is it in the top 50%? Sure. Based off that, it sounds like Jaws is about to eat me up in the ocean and I didn't like it. But reality is I liked it because my expectations were for a quality sushi experience (which it provides) and given the price point of their sushi is pretty impressive. I'm a vegetarian so I simply got an avocado roll and vegetarian roll and both were a good experience especially at the price. But, if you are a meat eater, and you do the lunch special, you can get 2 regular sushi rolls and a chum bucket for $12. That's $21 worth at their regular prices for $12! That's a pretty insane deal and A LOT of food to fill you up. The chum bucket sounds gross but is apparently quite good. Jaws follows COVID-19 protocols well and you pick up your food outside on their patio. No blood in the ocean here. Anyway, I think Jaws is understanding of their quality and at a great price point so I'd definitely return again if feeling the need for sushi. read more

The most awful customer service, we waited over an hour for our order and meanwhile all the staff was just hanging out and taking their time, especially the sushi chefs. Our waiter was horrible, I asked if they had any deep fried rolls since we were introducing our guest to sushi for the first time and he rudely responded "actually no, we don't have a fryer so we can't even make fried rolls" and then didn't even proceed to inquire on why we even asked to begin with. The water tasted absolutely awful and our bill was $160, and the fish was rancid. We couldn't even stomach the last roll and left 6 pieces on the board. We are too nice to ask for a refund or send the sushi back and we were there for a special occasion so we didn't want to make a fuss. Save yourself the money and the time. Not bad. Haven't been back in a while. They need a good review because they're making sushi that a sushi lover could eat. They are near the campus and that leads to affordable dining prices and meal deals, especially for students. Look to see if that is the case. Their menu has a good selection, but they are a bit overpriced for what you get. We got the ATF roll and OG Las Vegas roll. The ATF was pretty bland. They skimped on the fish in the rolls (thin and small). The sake also seemed watered down.The service was ok and the staff was fairly friendly. I have been craving sushi SO badly, and this is the first place we decided to give a try here in Fort Collins. It came highly recommended. We were aware that they don't have an all-you-can-eat option, which was hard for me to get over, but alas. They don't take reservations, when we got there at 6 on a Tuesday night, there was a 50 minute wait (granted, we were a group of 10 people). It is a small place. They have a nice system where the waiters call you back when your table is ready. About the food: The gyoza appetizers were okay, although not the best I've had. An awesome surprise was some of the soda they have, Ramune, that we've only ever seen in Japan! If you haven't tried it, you DEFINITELY should. My wife and I split 3 rolls and 2 nigiri, which was moderately filling. All together the meal cost us about $70. About the sushi, the nigiri was particularly impressive (large and tender). The 3 rolls we got were the Shinigami, the Hip Hop, and the Mr. Rogers. My favorite was the Shinigami, my wife's was the Mr. Rogers. None of them were overly "saucy" and were generally fairly straight forward, but tasty. All together, we thought the food was pretty good, and we would look forward to coming back to try more of their rolls! read more

Sashimi was beautiful, fresh, sliced thin in a generous portion. Rolls were excellent. We had the Whiskey & yellowtail. Would like to see more signature rolls without mayo, cream cheese or fried stuff... because the fish is delish! Ceviche was good too. I added a little more lime juice to mine. It's the best sushi in Fort Collins for people who don't really care about sushi! Way overpriced for what you get and highly Americanized at least in their specialty rolls. On my last visit I got an OG Las Vegas roll which has tempura shrimp, yellowtail, tuna, cream cheese, and onions for $16. The roll was very small all I tasted was cream cheese and onion. They also let you add on a chum bucket for $1 (usually $5) which has mixed seafood baked over rice with teriyaki sauce and crispies on top. It was drenched in teriyaki sauce and they even gave me extra, as if anyone would want more. It was killed by the sauce. Maybe stick with nigiri or better yet go somewhere and buy sashimi tuna and just make your own bowl at home. Or just get spicy tuna, something simple. It's sad this is the best option we have. Two weeks ago I had sushi in the bay area and my $14 roll had four times the amount of fish, it was all fresh and wonderful, and I was very happy. Yes I understand the coast is special but if you're charging $16 a roll it needs to be good. This is not a good sushi experience for anyone who's had real sushi. It's definitely gone downhill over the past 3-4 years. read more
