So here is the thing. Normally I would rank this higher but jeju is just down the street and is WAY better. Plus, they had a few things working against it. Let's just list them off 1) we heard they are really busy, and that we would need reservations. We called and made these for 5:00pm, when we arrived we were literally the only people there. 2) we chose this because we heard about the boat platter thing, which was a neat touch but for 70 dollars... Yikes... Maybe I am used to Washington where you can get all you can eat sushi, of incredible quality, for 20 a person. 3) that platter only feeds 2 people, so we all wanted wonton soup and seaweed salad, but it only comes with two so all the extra was an up charge, which brought our total to around 90. 4) the sushi was mixed, the sashimi was great, but the California roll was meh. Soooo, We all left hungry, again it wasn't bad, it just wasn't good for the price. I wouldn't go back, when I could go to jeju directly across the street.... but I did give it an extra star for their seaweed salad, that was great, and a huge portion.

Orange Chicken lunch special with a bento box upgrade

I wouldn't call this service with a smile, but they are definitely very prompt and courteous! I stopped in for a lunch special with a craving for a bento box and was seated in the window with the A/C cooling the place to the perfect temperature (it's HOT out there!). The interior is cozy with the sushi bar area at the back where you can sit and eat as well. I went for the lunch special ($13.95) with the bento box upgrade for an extra $2. The prices are a dollar higher than they are on their website, but still a great deal for the amount of food you get! They brought out a crisp iceberg salad with sweet dressing, and a steaming hot cup of hot and sour soup. The bento box was next with a hefty mound of brown rice and a generous portion of crispy orange chicken, as well as a spring roll and four pieces of California roll. Everything was delicious and came out quickly, and the bill was only $15 plus tax for this enormous amount of food, so I'll have leftovers!

I come here for lunch frequently and recommend this restaurant often. Unfortunately, there were multiple hairs in my roll today.

Was disappointed to find multiple hairs in my roll today. I often order from here, but am now a bit deterred from ordering in the future just based off of what seems like a lack of food safety standards.

We were looking for an Asian restaurant that had sushi and cooked items as we both like different things. We gave this place a shot & the food was really good. The service however was terrible. We were sat and waited over 15 min before we started staring at the one waitress on the floor actually working while two others were at the host stand talking a mile a minute. Finally the waitress working said something to the gals in their native language and one quickly came over and took our drink, appetizer and dinner order. We hoped the service would be better after than but it wasn't. No one ever came back and I finally got up and walked to the host stand to pay the bill. I wouldn't done in again but might do take out.

Total staple for quality Asian food in Old Town for sure! My experiences have always been quite great, with amazing food, drinks and overall service. This place can get very busy and very loud, so keep that in mind when considering! I certainly bring my friends here as it's our favorite sushi spot in town.

Surprisingly better that I thought it would be. Strictly Chinese wait staff. Food was good. We had sushi but noticed lomein on the menu that we'll return to try. I don't remembering it as favorably years ago. I'm sure its gotten better!

We had the BEST experience at Lulu last night. All my partner wanted for his birthday was to have sushi with his friends. I made a reservation for 20 people at Lulu and they were happy to accommodate. Wrangling all those people at one dinner is typically a logistical nightmare, but it went so smoothly!! Our server, Lindy, was ON IT. She nailed all of our orders, brought us individual checks divided by couple, and was extremely attentive the entire night. Not to mention she was super sweet and thoughtful--for instance, she overheard me ask my partner to get miso soup with his meal and came back with his sweet and sour soup plus a bowl of miso for me! Turns out, the love boat he ordered came with 2 soups. Now on to the food. Delicious! My partner got the love boat which was beautiful and extravagant, I got the sweet potato roll and the crunchy spicy salmon roll. Everything was so good, fresh, and presented nicely. Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. I highly recommend Lulu Asian Bistro for date night, large groups, sushi, and pad Thai. I personally can't wait to go back!

Amazing!! Yummy!! So pretty! Panang was a little spicy, even for me. Quiet on a Sunday.

Great pan-Asian food! I love how a lot of the dishes can be easily made vegan by getting tofu for the "meat". Cocktail menu had some great drinks on it, it was hard to decide on one! For specifically Thai food, I like Tom Kha around the corner, but Lulu's has it all. My partner wanted sushi and I wanted Chinese and we both got what we wanted here. The hostess and waitress were very nice and it felt very safe with the usual covid protocols. The portions are large so I had enough for leftovers to take home.

    Beautiful sushi boat!

We did take out previously and finally got to dine-in at Lulus. First, the dine in. They were above board with covid protocols. We ordered some of our favorite sushi and ordered Sake bombs. We were surprised with the option to play a game with the Sake bombs. I had no clue what we were in for! She brought out a gong and gave us our drinks with chopsticks. I won't spoil the game/surprise for those who don't know, but be ready to compete!! Then the sushi came out on a beautiful boat! Very fresh as always at Lulus. I loved the black pepper tuna roll and the Mexican maki, both were very unique and delicious! A few weeks prior, we ordered their food for delivery through NocoNosh. They came with plenty of ginger/wasabi and soy sauce packets. One gripe was that the wonton soup only had two wontons, but they were good and the broth was rich. I think 3 would've been better, or add some sliced wonton wrappers for noodles to make it more filling. Overall, we love Lulus to get our sushi fix and I had so much fun with the sake bomb game!!

From the moment we walked in - I'm recovering from recent shoulder surgery and dressing isn't easy so I didn't look my best - I discreetly asked the hostess if it was ok for me to come in looking kinda grungy and she sweetly told me I looked cute. Then a very friendly young man led us to our table. The place was packed, there were a lot of families with children as well as older folks like my hubby and me. Our waiter was also very friendly. Hubby and I usually each order soup, then we order 2 appetizers and one entree to split when we go to Asian restaurants. We ordered the same here. The egg drop soup was heartier than we expected, it had corn and little bit of chicken in it. It was delicious. Our appetizers, spring rolls and wrapped shrimp, were delicious and they were served on beds of noodles with sliced carrots and cucumbers around the edges of the plates. We had to ask our waiter for carry out containers before our entree even arrived. Our entree, pork with bok choy, shiitake mushrooms, and oyster sauce was delicious....just like everything else was. And since we ordered too much we had enough left over for dinner the following night. Hubby and I usually go for Thai or Japanese when we're in the mood for Asian cuisine and we have our favorite spots in FoCo for those (I prefer Thai, he prefers Japanese). We now have our favorite Vietnamese restaurant. The food was great and the service was very friendly!
