The sushi is great, and the pineapple curry is actually better than what can be found at most of the Thai restaurants in town (and that's saying a lot!). I don't understand how their ratings got so low. It actually makes me suspicious of the rating system and it's susceptibility to being used as a means of personal retaliation. I don't know the owners or have any sort of business relationship with this establishment beyond being a loyal customer, and I assure you that that loyalty has been earned year after year. read more

Solid Asian food Fort Collins! They have some authentic dishes hidden away among their diverse fusion of Asian cuisines. I really pushed the boundaries and got their nigiri sushi plate (chef's choice). Usually my marker for bad sushi is fishy tuna, and there was none to be found. Let's just list them off 1) we heard they are really busy, and that we would need reservations. We called and made these for 5:00pm, when we arrived we were literally the only people there. 2) we chose this because we heard about the boat platter thing, which was a neat touch but for 70 dollars... Yikes... Maybe I am used to Washington where you can get all you can eat sushi, of incredible quality, for 20 a person. 3) that platter only feeds 2 people, so we all wanted wonton soup and seaweed salad, but it only comes with two so all the extra was an up charge, which brought our total to around 90. 4) the sushi was mixed, the sashimi was great, but the California roll was meh. I stopped in for a lunch special with a craving for a bento box and was seated in the window with the A/C cooling the place to the perfect temperature (it's HOT out there!). The interior is cozy with the sushi bar area at the back where you can sit and eat as well. I went for the lunch special ($13.95) with the bento box upgrade for an extra $2. The prices are a dollar higher than they are on their website, but still a great deal for the amount of food you get! They brought out a crisp iceberg salad with sweet dressing, and a steaming hot cup of hot and sour soup. The bento box was next with a hefty mound of brown rice and a generous portion of crispy orange chicken, as well as a spring roll and four pieces of California roll. Everything was delicious and came out quickly, and the bill was only $15 plus tax for this enormous amount of food, so I'll have leftovers! read more

We had the BEST experience at Lulu last night. All my partner wanted for his birthday was to have sushi with his friends. I made a reservation for 20 people at Lulu and they were happy to accommodate. Wrangling all those people at one dinner is typically a logistical nightmare, but it went so smoothly!! Our server, Lindy, was ON IT. She nailed all of our orders, brought us individual checks divided by couple, and was extremely attentive the entire night. Not to mention she was super sweet and thoughtful--for instance, she overheard me ask my partner to get miso soup with his meal and came back with his sweet and sour soup plus a bowl of miso for me! Turns out, the love boat he ordered came with 2 soups. Now on to the food. Delicious! My partner got the love boat which was beautiful and extravagant, I got the sweet potato roll and the crunchy spicy salmon roll. Everything was so good, fresh, and presented nicely. Great pan-Asian food! I love how a lot of the dishes can be easily made vegan by getting tofu for the "meat". Cocktail menu had some great drinks on it, it was hard to decide on one! I was in Fort Collins and, in these times of social distancing and COVID-19, it felt best to get some carryout for lunch and support a local restaurant. Through all this, I can't even remember the last time that I had sushi so the fact that Lulu was open and doing takeout sounded like a good idea. I'm a vegetarian so I had an order of the fried vegetarian gyoza, avocado roll, asparagus roll, and veggie roll. I also ended up with egg drop soup and salad. Not really sure why but it might have come along because I ordered three rolls and that's considered a combo lunch. Anyway all of it tasted good and was up to expectations, and like I said, I hadn't had this type of cuisine in quite a long time so it was nice. The only downfall of what I ate was the salad. Basically just iceberg lettuce and chopped carrots covered in an oily dressing. But I'll compliment Lulu the most of course in how great they are handling COVID-19 and social distancing. They called when the food was ready. You can park in a spot right outside. They leave your bag of food for you and you pick it up through a covering on to a table. It's a non-contract transaction making it effective and cordial. I also has the miso soup before my lunch, it was delicious & gluten free. The meal was still a little too spicy for me but it was very good, I wasn't able to eat it all so I opted to take it home. I hesitate to leave this review as Lulu's has been a long time favorite in town for us as a family for years. Tonight's experience was one that my family will talk about for awhile unfortunately. Our meal was good. Not great. The appetizers were either very overcooked (calamari) or undercooked (tempura). The sushi was very good. The issue? During dinner tonight my son, 9, needed to use the restroom. I took him just to be safe. While there, we observed an employee using the toilet (pooping) who then simply walked out of the bathroom and right back into the kitchen! I brought this to managements attention immediately and they did apologize and comped us the full cost of the meal. The employee was apparently a dishwasher (who of course denied not washing his hands) but the experience was absolutely disgusting. This is how people get sick and in a sushi restaurant of all places is just unacceptable. Sadly for us this will be our last time at Lulu's. :( read more

I would have the teriyaki chicken with fried rice and rainbow roll as my last meal. I had an amazing experience here! Their fried rice is perfectly seasoned and loaded with delicious ingredients. The sushi is incredibly fresh, with a wonderful variety of rolls to choose from. The cheese wontons are crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, an absolute must-try. Had a pick up order tonight, over $150 and to say the least... it was horrible. We had let the person know that was taking our order that a person in our party was allergic to shrimp and to not put any in the order. What did we get? Shrimp. That's horrible customer service to not listen to an allergy concern. There were also house salads as apart of our order, and we didn't get those. The order was also missing all of the sauces we ordered and paid for. I have been here many times and each time it has gotten progressively worse and today was the final straw. My husband and I came to visit Fort Collins and decided to try a Chinese restaurant. We got some sweet potato rolls for appetizer and a spicy dry pot and some sautéed veggies for lunch. Everything was delicious, we both loved the spicy pot very much (we can handle spicy food!). The only small complaint was the price was slightly high. The dry pot was $30 and it was not a huge pot. The veggie was $15. Other than that, we both liked the atmosphere and the service was nice too. I think this restaurant definitely deserves to be better than 3 stars. read more

This is one of the best hidden secrets in Ft. Collins. While the decor is certainly not Asian--in fact, it is pretty bland but the food more than makes up for it. I have not ventured out on the menu as I found something there I absolutely love and is absolutely delicious and really enough for two if you have appetizers or soup. Their coconut prawns are to die for. The coconut sauce is served on the side in case you don't care for coconut but if you pass it up, you'll miss a real treat! Their sushi rolls are just fantastic as well. We had the King roll and the Dynamite roll and felt it was excellent sushi! You will not be disappointed!
