The review is based on my wife's and daughter's experience during their recent visit to the Denver area. Positive items were the menu selection, chef food preparation, and the food itself was very good. Negatives items was the inside absolutely had no decor or decorations, just plain walls and open ceiling. There are just grill after grill with no exhaust vents over the grills so the restaurant is uncomfortably hot inside. The staff is not the friendliest or attentive. Parking is not abundant and difficult. Overall, their experience was not the best so think seriously before you eat here and spend the money.

The 8 eggs he added to the fried rice AFTER already adding 10 egg that were mixed with the ice.

Wellll where do we start. The waitress was amazing!!! Now to the chef: 1- he grabbed a handful of butter and threw it on the grill, after just clearing dirty sushi dishes from people's spots (so his hands definitely were not clean) 2. He proceeded to add another 3 cups or so of butter onto the grill all just for rice. 3. He was doing some fun egg tricks and cracking them, but it didn't stop.... It was one, after another, after another. We counted 10 eggs scrambled for fried rice for 5 people. Let me tell ya I love eggs at at this point wasn't upset about the amount of eggs. 4. He then puts the fried rice on the eggs and proceeds to add 8 more eggs.... So 18 total eggs in fried rice for 5 people... he jokes about making more eggs than rice.... 6. He starts to take the steamed rice off peoples spots (still in Bowles) till he reaches the last guy who had already put soy sauce AND EATEN OFF HIS RICE. He grabs the man's rice and throws it into the pile of rice.... So at this Point he has had two MAJOR food safety issues (dirty hands grabbing butter, and adding food someone has eaten from to the community rice). After that we had determined we wouldn't be eating anything but didn't want to get up from the table out of respect. We waited till the end, one of us got up and asked for a manager who was not able to come see us. I explained the situation to one of the servers and she proceeded to tell me "well yeah we have been having similar issues with him, this is his last weekend the manager said he could give you a gift card for what you paid". We won't be back... we will drive the opposite direction to the my Fuji in Arvada instead.

He was fantastic with the kids and very attentive to our table--quick to notice when drinks needed refills or if we needed anything at all. It was probably the best fried rice I've had at any hibachi restaurant in the area. It also wasn't too crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant was very clean as well, which hasn't always been our experience at other hibachi places we've visited. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Went in for sushi (no hibachi) which may have been the problem. It was overpriced, rolls were…read more poorly rolled, and the staff is not properly trained. Despite the high price point, having no soy sauce ramekins, a terrible drink (only ordered a margarita because the other cocktail options are limited), and nonexistent servers- I was just hoping for the food to be correctly brought out and tasty. Nope. Didn't get that either. When they brought the food out, it wasn't what we ordered, and our server vanished. After waiting for a long time, while being very hungry, I ate of one of the pieces of the salmon nigiri (there were 3 of us and only 2 pieces of the correct nigiri- I needed to eat something!). When the server reappeared she was busy on the hibachi side doing something (we were the only table in the entire restaurant), didn't check on us, so I got up to go talk to her about the mix-up. She was VERY confused, but after re-explaining multiple times, she brought us the additional yellowtail nigiri that we originally ordered along with the salmon roll that you can see on the photo I included. After seeing what our (not so cheap) roll looked like, I was pretty much over this place and wanted to just leave. Our bill was high and included the salmon nigiri that we did not order. Once again I had to get up to go talk to the server, and explain the situation despite us having already discussed it. She instantly said, "But you ate it!", and that is what ultimately led to me writing a review rather than just looking ahead and never coming back. At this point, I am arguing with this woman trying to explain that we came to eat a meal, were hungry, couldn't find the server and inevitably ate 1 of 2 pieces of salmon nigiri that we did not order since there were 3 people and only 2 pieces of what we did order. She did not agree with me, so I left it at: we are not paying for the salmon, you can bring me the updated bill. It's rare (for me) to experience a server be so argumentative, and I've never seen sushi so poorly rolled. This place isn't it. I never want to give a business a bad review, but this is unfortunately warranted. Try literally anywhere else as there are multiple other sushi restaurants within 10 minutes of this place.

Amazing night as always celebrating a friends birthday at Mt Fuji…read more I seriously think that Mt Fuji makes some of the best fried rice in the game. I got the chicken fried rice for the first time and I don't think I can go back. It's so good! As always, we got the broccoli throw, choo choo train, onion volcano and fire around the cooking area. It's so much fun! Also it's awesome how much Sake the chefs hook up each of the guests with. They make the entire experience so fun and love when they chop up everything and it tastes so good. Highly recommend! And the price isn't bad. $10 24 oz beers, most expensive meal is the $43 lobster and filet mignon but personally I love the shrimp and tuna! Can't wait to come back

I couldn't even eat my fried rice which is usually one of my favorite things, it was awful. I've been to hibachi many times in my life, so i kinda knew what i wanted so I didn't spend a lot of time studying the menu. got the bill and found a $23 "service charge" on a food bill of $143, , what the hell? I showed my son, and he made all kind of excuses, maybe to tip the kitchen, maybe the cook (although he had his own tip jar on his cart) so to not embarrass my son I let it go. I would never eat there again EVER! Not an enjoyable experience at all.

For nearly $50, I got rice, chicken, and zucchini that tasted like the seasoning called in sick. I've accidentally made better food when I forgot to follow the recipe. I came expecting fire, knife tricks, jokes, and an experience. Instead, I watched someone cook with all the enthusiasm of a DMV employee working overtime. The onion volcano apparently filed for unemployment. Then came the highlight of the evening--and not in a good way. A family of ten was trying to take a picture together. Instead of doing the decent thing and offering to take the photo, a staff member actually yelled at the woman for trying to get a picture of her family. Nothing says "hospitality" quite like embarrassing your paying customers. So I got up, took her phone, and took five family pictures for them because apparently the only person working customer service that night was another customer. Let's recap what my $50 bought me: * Rice with an identity crisis. * Chicken that had never met a spice rack. * Zucchini that somehow tasted tired. * Zero entertainment. * Front-row seats to staff treating guests like an inconvenience. * An unpaid part-time job as the restaurant photographer. The most memorable part of Benihana was that I ended up providing better customer service than the people collecting my money. Calling this a "hibachi experience" is generous. It was overpriced cafeteria food with a side of attitude. I would've gotten more entertainment by putting my $50 through a paper shredder and watching the confetti fall. At least that would've been worth taking a picture of. I won't be back, and I genuinely can't recommend this place to anyone. If you're looking for great hibachi, keep driving. If you're looking to spend $50 wondering where it all went wrong, you've found the place.
