So absolutely disappointed! We've been to this location off and on for years! Sometimes it's great and this time was terrible, and unfortunately it was my birthday dinner. The front of the house took forever to seat us, then when she finally did, the waitress took forever to even bring water and drinks. Then, when she finally took our order there was no one to start cooking. We literally sat with nothing for two hours. Then, when we got our cook he was mad or just a sad person. No jokes, no fun, no talk, just a lame sad person cooking in front of us. This meal was super expensive, way too disorganized, and even worse...over cooked. Steak not medium rare as requested and burnt veggies. We work hard for our money, so we're not frivolous. This really sucked. I was going to leave a photo but just realized that we didn't take any because it was just that bad! Also, another couple at our table never got their white rice during the entire meal, or her second drink she ordered, so they were not happy either. read more

Why is it so dirty there? Please scrub the place clean. The food quality is not up to par. The stake is tasty though - I guess if you throw a pound of soy butter on anything, it would taste good. I won't go back because of the filth. The lighting is really pathetic too - it makes me feel that I am in a prison camp hole. Very repulsive setting. read more

The review is based on my wife's and daughter's experience during their recent visit to the Denver area. Positive items were the menu selection, chef food preparation, and the food itself was very good. Negatives items was the inside absolutely had no decor or decorations, just plain walls and open ceiling. There are just grill after grill with no exhaust vents over the grills so the restaurant is uncomfortably hot inside. The staff is not the friendliest or attentive. Parking is not abundant and difficult. Overall, their experience was not the best so think seriously before you eat here and spend the money. read more

Went here on 2/18/26. First time ever going to a hibachi place. There was 4 of us. Including my 4 and 1 year old. Staff was very friendly and attentive. It got pretty busy through the evening. We got there right around 5. We tried shrimp, salmon and steak. All very good. The cook we had was very friendly and funny. Our entire friendly was watching his every move. Will definitely be back. This location (Westminster) has really gone down since it opened several years ago. Grill and adjacent surfaces were all dirty; chef poured some water on the hot grill and briefly ran a scrub pad on a portion of it (same thing at the end, only a portion was even lightly cleaned). Also, it felt like the floor had a greasy film on it in some places. Both the server and chef seemed like they really wanted to be someplace else. Chef went through the motions for the "show" parts--sake, egg roll, volcano, etc.--but without a lot of enthusiasm and often in a soft voice. Food was not bad, but this chef used a lot more oil, butter, and salt than I have seen other chefs here use (many times in the past). Noticeable shrinkage in a few portion sizes, like soup and sauces; meats, veggies, and rice were all pretty normal sized. In the past (even post pandemic), on a Saturday night, wait times could be up to an hour; not tonight, as they were seating walk-ins as they arrived. Probably will stick with the Louisville location when I go to Mt. Fuji in the future. read more

We've been here twice, the first experience was just okay but we decided to give it another try. Not that much cheaper than Benihana, and food quality is way worse. I got food poisoning unfortunately from this location. The hostesses are not very friendly. The decor is lackluster, it doesn't feel like a nice restaurant. Exposed pipes and unfinished walls. Wellll where do we start. The waitress was amazing!!! Now to the chef: 1- he grabbed a handful of butter and threw it on the grill, after just clearing dirty sushi dishes from people's spots (so his hands definitely were not clean) 2. He proceeded to add another 3 cups or so of butter onto the grill all just for rice. 3. He was doing some fun egg tricks and cracking them, but it didn't stop.... It was one, after another, after another. We counted 10 eggs scrambled for fried rice for 5 people. Let me tell ya I love eggs at at this point wasn't upset about the amount of eggs. 4. He then puts the fried rice on the eggs and proceeds to add 8 more eggs.... So 18 total eggs in fried rice for 5 people... he jokes about making more eggs than rice.... 6. He starts to take the steamed rice off peoples spots (still in Bowles) till he reaches the last guy who had already put soy sauce AND EATEN OFF HIS RICE. He grabs the man's rice and throws it into the pile of rice.... So at this Point he has had two MAJOR food safety issues (dirty hands grabbing butter, and adding food someone has eaten from to the community rice). After that we had determined we wouldn't be eating anything but didn't want to get up from the table out of respect. We waited till the end, one of us got up and asked for a manager who was not able to come see us. I explained the situation to one of the servers and she proceeded to tell me "well yeah we have been having similar issues with him, this is his last weekend the manager said he could give you a gift card for what you paid". We won't be back... we will drive the opposite direction to the my Fuji in Arvada instead. read more

We came to My Fuji to celebrate a 21st birthday with 10 of us. They sat us at our table and then waited over 75 min and no food. I finally asked for the manager. He apologized, offered us some appetizers offered to pay for some drinks and reduced our bill by 15%. All sounds great. When the chef came out he cooked the food but no show. Which is why you come to Mt Fuji for the cooking experience in front of you. Some food was over cooked...No happy Birthday, no dessert offered just here's your bill and good night. Saturday, I took my whole family to Mt. Fuji for my daughter's birthday! There, we enjoyed excellent food and service and an entertaining performance by the hibachi chef! The waitress, Yangyang, was also very attentive and delightful! She interacted and joked with the children and sang happy birthday to my daughter with our family. I took my mother and my daughter for my mother's birthday. The host is extremely rude very inconsiderate and always likes to give you dirty eyes. Whenever you speak to her. I've been there many times and she's always the same way. I don't know if she's the manager, but she is always the one that seems to be in charge of seating and taking orders. She seems very greedy on top of being very rude and looking at me like I got a bug on my face every time she always takes the check out of my hands in a snappy way and looks for the tip. Two weeks ago She asked me where is the tip you got a tip she said I told her I gave $20 to the cook, she said no you have to tip me too. That was the last experience I had when I went in there two weeks ago, but this time was my mother's birthday today I went in there because she loves the place and I got the same exact response from the host on top of that the cook was wearing Bluetooth earbuds. He was very unattached from all of the people sitting in front of him.. I have a 6 year-old daughter. She was very bored. He didn't do any kind of tricks or fun things. He also did not split the plate between me and my kid because it's a lot of food. He kept throwing all the food on my plate I repeatedly asked him to please split the meal between us. Also I had a side of hot Diablo sauce. Ask him to put all my food in the Diablo sauce every time he put a portion on my plate I asked him to please put the Diablo sauce on mine and not care Even though I asked him three times he did not care. He kept slamming food on my plate very rude very boring time so much so My kid almost fell asleep because it took forever for them to give us food in the first place in my opinion this place sucks. I've been to the restaurant many times because it's my wife's favorite restaurant. She likes the noodles. Unfortunate it will be your last time. The service is absolutely horrible. The hostesses/managers that see you are always rude and not accommodating. The ambience in the entire restaurant is so depressing. You have a better atmosphere at a McDonald's. Yesterday server was absolutely rude, asked me to move my chair up about 10 times. After I got frustrated with having to move so many times she decided to just keep bumping me every time she walked back-and-forth. Would not make eye contact with me would not take my order. Ask my wife to repeat what I wanted so she didn't have to pay attention to me through the check at me and was absolutely horrible. We bailed after going to the bathroom and getting our "soup." The place was filthy. There was what looked like a turd on the floor in front of the urinal. The grill was filthy with food still stuck on it. The window sills were covered in dirt and grime. Employees were sitting around and even sleeping in the eating area. The cook walked by me in the hallway and he must have smoked some weed in the kitchen because he reeked. Soup was dishwater which may have just been boiled green onions. We were then served salad from a bag, drenched in yum yum sauce. The soup was just broth. The cook came over to cook our food. The tuna steak was dry, the noddles were plain, the stir fry vegetables had no seasoning, just bland. We were up charged for fried rice, and some weird sauce that we didn't ask for. When she finally got to us, we said our number of people (4). She says "for 7p?" We said "no, 6:30l. It is now 7:40! I can only assume that she realized at that moment they forgot us and immediately goes "oh...go with her". We finally got seated. We didn't even get to order our food for another 30min. So our reservation was at 6:30, and we are just ordering our food at 8:10p. Mind you, we made this reservation for our daughter's 9th birthday. We didn't have a chef come for ANOTHER 30min. Our waiter forgot mine and my daughter's steamed rice so we received that after the chef was gone and we were almost done eating. The chef was great. He was pleasant and the food was delicious. Typically not one to write a review, however this one is called for. The food was good and my chef was awesome, figured he wanted to go home so he didn't do to many special things, that aside the lady at the front judging by the other reviews on her seems to be there a lot. She is extremely rude telling my guests to sit down and wait instead of standing (not to mention we had a reservation 2 weeks in advance and still had to wait for a table) we wait 20 minutes for a table but while we were waiting she chose to make rude comments about us to her coworker. I find her and the other wait staff to be beyond rude. We wait 45 minutes before being served a single thing. We had no water after our first cup I promise they were not busy just lazy and rude. We spent 300 dollars on our meal and then was automatically forced to give a 47 dollar tip. We tipped the chef well for he deserved it. I ask as I was leaving who that tip goes to and she blatantly told me it goes to her and the waitress. If you're going to steal tips from the other employees who are actually working then do a better job.
