The review is based on my wife's and daughter's experience during their recent visit to the Denver area. Positive items were the menu selection, chef food preparation, and the food itself was very good. Negatives items was the inside absolutely had no decor or decorations, just plain walls and open ceiling. There are just grill after grill with no exhaust vents over the grills so the restaurant is uncomfortably hot inside. The staff is not the friendliest or attentive. Parking is not abundant and difficult. Overall, their experience was not the best so think seriously before you eat here and spend the money.

The 8 eggs he added to the fried rice AFTER already adding 10 egg that were mixed with the ice.

Wellll where do we start. The waitress was amazing!!! Now to the chef: 1- he grabbed a handful of butter and threw it on the grill, after just clearing dirty sushi dishes from people's spots (so his hands definitely were not clean) 2. He proceeded to add another 3 cups or so of butter onto the grill all just for rice. 3. He was doing some fun egg tricks and cracking them, but it didn't stop.... It was one, after another, after another. We counted 10 eggs scrambled for fried rice for 5 people. Let me tell ya I love eggs at at this point wasn't upset about the amount of eggs. 4. He then puts the fried rice on the eggs and proceeds to add 8 more eggs.... So 18 total eggs in fried rice for 5 people... he jokes about making more eggs than rice.... 6. He starts to take the steamed rice off peoples spots (still in Bowles) till he reaches the last guy who had already put soy sauce AND EATEN OFF HIS RICE. He grabs the man's rice and throws it into the pile of rice.... So at this Point he has had two MAJOR food safety issues (dirty hands grabbing butter, and adding food someone has eaten from to the community rice). After that we had determined we wouldn't be eating anything but didn't want to get up from the table out of respect. We waited till the end, one of us got up and asked for a manager who was not able to come see us. I explained the situation to one of the servers and she proceeded to tell me "well yeah we have been having similar issues with him, this is his last weekend the manager said he could give you a gift card for what you paid". We won't be back... we will drive the opposite direction to the my Fuji in Arvada instead.

Food is always so good and more than plentiful. Wait times can be long- especially on weekends, but worth it.

Great deal for the July 4th weekend…read more $2.50 beers I then ordered the wagyu burger special for $17.76 - it was delicious, served with fries. Also came with an apple cobbler and large scoop of ice cream. Only thing that would have made the dessert better would have been warming the cobbler. We are in the bar area as we wanted something casual versus the entertainment. Service was fast and friendly and we were able to see the World Cup game on several of the tvs in there.

I got the chicken and steak with the upgraded fried rice 6 course meal. The soup had mushroom slices and chopped green onions but overall tasted like a beef bouillon cube... very salty. The salad had been sitting and was rusty and brown with a ginger miso dressing... again very salty. The shrimp appetizer was seasoned with pepper and More salt... again very salty. Next the chicken fried rice was seasoned with salt and pepper, and soy sauce with some sort of garlic margarine ... again very salty Next the chicken was seasoned with salt and the garlic margarine... very salty The Wagyu Steak was great texture and flavor but again heavy on the salt... Lastly the sherbet was full of dyes and I only took a couple bites... flavor was lemon lime I guess, not to sweet. Positives: the cook was sociable and somewhat funny... and the mango lemonade was tasty and they kept the recipe coming until the cook walked away then it was like we didn't exist until the bill came... Overall not impressed, sure it's novel but the food was the Saltiest meal I have had that I can remember. 2 stars... disappointing

We had an amazing time with a wonderful chef originating from Indonesia, who has traveled all over the U.S. and this place is blessed to have his level of quality, skill and overall love into the food and service Loved the unique ambiance! There is a booth in a cozy corner with botanical material, and the Sakura trees decorated all around.

Went in for sushi (no hibachi) which may have been the problem. It was overpriced, rolls were…read more poorly rolled, and the staff is not properly trained. Despite the high price point, having no soy sauce ramekins, a terrible drink (only ordered a margarita because the other cocktail options are limited), and nonexistent servers- I was just hoping for the food to be correctly brought out and tasty. Nope. Didn't get that either. When they brought the food out, it wasn't what we ordered, and our server vanished. After waiting for a long time, while being very hungry, I ate of one of the pieces of the salmon nigiri (there were 3 of us and only 2 pieces of the correct nigiri- I needed to eat something!). When the server reappeared she was busy on the hibachi side doing something (we were the only table in the entire restaurant), didn't check on us, so I got up to go talk to her about the mix-up. She was VERY confused, but after re-explaining multiple times, she brought us the additional yellowtail nigiri that we originally ordered along with the salmon roll that you can see on the photo I included. After seeing what our (not so cheap) roll looked like, I was pretty much over this place and wanted to just leave. Our bill was high and included the salmon nigiri that we did not order. Once again I had to get up to go talk to the server, and explain the situation despite us having already discussed it. She instantly said, "But you ate it!", and that is what ultimately led to me writing a review rather than just looking ahead and never coming back. At this point, I am arguing with this woman trying to explain that we came to eat a meal, were hungry, couldn't find the server and inevitably ate 1 of 2 pieces of salmon nigiri that we did not order since there were 3 people and only 2 pieces of what we did order. She did not agree with me, so I left it at: we are not paying for the salmon, you can bring me the updated bill. It's rare (for me) to experience a server be so argumentative, and I've never seen sushi so poorly rolled. This place isn't it. I never want to give a business a bad review, but this is unfortunately warranted. Try literally anywhere else as there are multiple other sushi restaurants within 10 minutes of this place.
