    Sashimi
    Qew T.

Soo this place got three stars because of food. Service is great. So the pros... the sashimi is super fresh. Literally the best thing I've had here. I ordered the love boat and it came with a variety of fishes. I enjoyed it so muchhh ugh. The presentation was really cute too. The cons... the food was a tad bit bland. I forgot exactly what I got but it was the hibachi. I just felt like I was eating nothing that popped for it's price...

    chicken and rice

When here 8/5/22 for lunch the food was ok I paid $14 for a kiddie meal my plans was to eat some for lunch tak the rest to work it didn't work out had to buy something else for work I mean who wants to pay $14 for a kiddie meal I will never go back I could've went to burger King got a more food paid less. Very disappointed ended up paying more than I wanted to.

We are in oneonta for the weekend visiting my son at school for his birthday. He loves hibachi so of course this is where we ended up for dinner. We arrived around 7. It's a small restaurant and was a bit crowded. We were a party of 5 and the waitress said us with 2 other groups of people. There was only 1 hibachi chef for the whole restaurant so there was a wait for our food. Food was pretty good. We were all pleased except for my youngest son ( very picky eater. Ended up going to McDonald's for him). The reason for only 3 stars, restaurant was not very clean and having only 1 hibachi chef was not a good idea especially for a busy Saturday night. Now if I was in the other party (4 guests) I probsbly would only five 2 stars. Women on end for very limited food. The chef had to keep requesting to get more because it just wasn't enough. They also ordered salmon ( which I would never do in oneonta) and it looked terrible.

The start to my Seafood Trio.

Decided to take the family out for hibachi. Food was good. Service was good. Would love for them to expand the drink menu. Mom had salmon and shrimp with fried rice. She enjoyed it. Daughter had salmon and chicken with noodles. However, she got sick after eating the salad. Not sure if it's because of her peanut allergy. I had seafood trio (shrimp, scallops & lobster) and fried rice. I enjoyed it.

    Thanks!

Food is inconsistant. Waitress was pushy for order and got the order wrong. Finally she tried to pocket my change. Not with the money.

My family is in the region on vacation, and we left Liberty (an hour from Tuna III) fairly hungry. I called to make sure that they were open, and a man answered the phone and simply said, "hello, I will call you back in 15 minutes." I shouted an expletive and my wife yelled at me. She argued that "at least we know that they're open." We decided to give them a try. Upon arrival, the "Closed" sign was at the door, but the door wasn't locked so I went in to inquire. Turns out, Chef Wilson was on his own, cleaning up the place by himself after a hectic evening. I explained that I called earlier but no one called me back. He felt badly, and while the place was closed, he took us in. We had the place all to ourselves, and aside from our hunger, we were in no rush. The miso soup was small (but inexpensive, and really good). It had a very strong flavor and included some nice ingredients like enoki mushroom. The house salad had a very nice carrot ginger dressing. I felt like my salmon avocado roll had a but too much rice on it, but the fish was fresh and I enjoyed it. I also realized that Wilson was on somewhat of a hurry to serve us, and being alone, I can't really know exactly what the good would have been like if he had his whole crew there. I enjoyed the sukiyaki... I've had better... it seemed like there was a strong taste of something like vinegar. Still, it was authentic, and I liked it. The only thing that was strange was this spoon shaped like a small ladle. It was hard to get the pieces of cabbage from within there, and I had to slurp, which really pisses off my daughter! My wife and kid both got the Sea Dragon Roll. My wife said she had found her NEW FAVORITE ROLL of all time. They loved it. Great presentation and excellent sauce combo... too bad we can't come back for it regularly. Wilson is a very genuine guy. I really appreciated his taking us in for to the circumstances. I would absolutely support this place if we were locals.

I'll admit it, I was skeptical. We stopped in here for lunch after our second day at the Hall of Fame. We were seated immediately and had a drink order in before we were even settled. Wifey and I were really hungry so we may have overdone it a bit, but it was vacation! We ordered and Eel cucumber hand roll, Angel roll (spicy tuna and cucumber insider with eel and avocado on top), Mt Fuji roll (shrimp tempura and cucumber inside with spicy Kanu on top), Cooperstown roll (shrimp tempura cucumber spicy tuna on top), an Alaska Roll (salmon cucumber avocado), Vegetable tempura, and Wasabi Shumai - pork dumplings. Or service was great because they didn't just dump a pile of sushi on our table...they brought the food in stages which made for pleasant surprises with each stop. While we were here at lunchtime they only seemed to be offering sushi and the appetizers. The only negative I can provide was that it was a rainy humid day so the floor in this place was a bit slippery. Other than that I'd come back in a heartbeat.
