This place is a disaster - so badly managed. They will always tell you '20 minutes' and it will always take between 45 min and an hour - no matter what time of day. (I was there at 3pm. 45 minute wait. At least they're consistent). The manager, Ming, doesn't seem to understand how to coordinate customers' orders with his available sushi bar staff. Although they have some broken English, they mean well and are really trying to please their customers. It makes me sad to see such bad reviews when I love this restaurant so much. Whoever I asked where I should go to get some good sushi, all of my friends, family, and coworkers always recommended Tokyo. The first time I went I had some of the Philadelphia, California, and Spicy Shrimp rolls, Yaki Soba, and Miso soup, and I have to say that this place is authentic. Fantastic food. Even now during the pandemic, it is great to get their take-out and pick it up knowing they use good COVID practices. We always get a couple of hors de vor and a seaweed salad and then 3 special Tiger rolls. They are so extraordinary!!! Oh and don't forget the miso soup. Great place for good sushi in Oneonta. They have a section of fairly cheap rolls that are $2.50-3, as well as some fancier rolls that I haven't tried. The cheaper rolls that I have been getting are quite high quality. I would highly recommend both the volcano and eel avocado rolls! read more
