    Mango Double Salmon Roll

First time visiting the town and exploring their downtown area when we came across this place. I was a little apprehensive because of the reviews. After reading the reviews I decided to go off the most recent and we were so glad we did!! Upon walking it they did have a good amount of tables taken but nonetheless the host was attentive & sat us down within a few mins. Location was nice, no tvs ( which is a bonus for me) had great music playing in the background. Our drinks, appetizers & order was taken in a timely manner. The waitress patiently waited for us to decide and to get familiar with their menu. ( we are from California so some items we had questions on) When our food came out... we were WOWED! Not only did it look beautiful but it was absolutely delicious! I've had a lot of sushi in my days and in different states and I was HIGHLY impressed! Fantastic job! All around great location!!

Experience: This place is reliable. I have been eating here for five years. now. I've had good experiences dining in. I've dined in here about 4 times. Their take out is always done right and doesn't take too long. You can order online. Not having to order over the phone is a great perk. Tiger, the other sushi place on main street does not deliver. So when I used to crave sushi and was a college student without a car, Tokyo was the other option. Online, it says the sashimi comes with 3 pieces, but when it was delivered, it was 2 pieces. Not sure if that correction was made on the menu in the restaurant. One of my favorites from here is their Volcano roll. If you dine in, they make very pretty sauce designs on the plate. Students here really don't give much respect to this place. One time while I was dining in, these frat guys came in and started chanting "Pearl harbor! Pearl harbor!". The people that run this place are Chinese and it's just really ignorant to do that. Weekend dinners here get a little crazy. The only other time where Tokyo was packed was Valentine's day. I spent one Valentine's day dinner here and there was a special. We ate at the sushi bar and it was super loud having plates be thrown into a bin right next to us. At least a got a seat though. The quality of food here has been consistently good. Prices are fair for Oneonta. Recommend it?: Yes.

Incredible inexpensive sushi and the best. Yakisoba I have had in years!!!!!

Omg I can't believe I found a place that makes REAL yakisoba!! The food is out of this world!! The service was super fast and the people were soo nice! This is definitely my new go to place! I can not recommend this place enough!!!! 10 a/o 10!!

Zoom in and look at the white rice under the fish!!!

Figured I'd give them 1 last try and it was a big mistake!!!! I ordered a bento box with 8 sushi pieces and 2 rolls in it. I asked for brown rice on all the sushi. And I ordered 2 pieces of salmon sushi and 2 pieces of eel sushi both with brown rice. They brought me the 4 pieces and they had brown rice then when the bento box came itwas made with all white rice. I said the hell with it and ate it.I did take a picture of it though. When the bill came they were charging me 5 dollars for brown rice. I said the only brown rice was on the 4 pieces and the chef kept arguing with me and trying to make like i was lying. I told him I know the difference in the taste of brown rice compared to white rice!!!! I wi never go to this place again. To insinuate that i was lying is the biggest insult i ever had in any restaurant. The thieves took 1 dollar off!!! And the place is filthy!! Going to report them to the health department!!!

    Best sushi in town!

We absolutely love the food at Tokyo and if the food isn't good enough, the dessert is absolutely amazing . The service is always friendly and we have a great time at Tokyo every time.

I'll admit it, I was skeptical. We stopped in here for lunch after our second day at the Hall of Fame. We were seated immediately and had a drink order in before we were even settled. Wifey and I were really hungry so we may have overdone it a bit, but it was vacation! We ordered and Eel cucumber hand roll, Angel roll (spicy tuna and cucumber insider with eel and avocado on top), Mt Fuji roll (shrimp tempura and cucumber inside with spicy Kanu on top), Cooperstown roll (shrimp tempura cucumber spicy tuna on top), an Alaska Roll (salmon cucumber avocado), Vegetable tempura, and Wasabi Shumai - pork dumplings. Or service was great because they didn't just dump a pile of sushi on our table...they brought the food in stages which made for pleasant surprises with each stop. While we were here at lunchtime they only seemed to be offering sushi and the appetizers. The only negative I can provide was that it was a rainy humid day so the floor in this place was a bit slippery. Other than that I'd come back in a heartbeat.

Was I wrong to have given this place a chance?…read more I have very specific directions for delivery which was to the rear entrance of the library on the SUCO campus. The delivery guy shouted over the phone and decided to make me walk all the way to the bus stop which was a major problem since it was snowing. I ordered my food to the library, but the bus stop. It really isn't that hard for them to pull up 100 feet down from the bus stop which really shouldn't even have a car parked there in the first place. They were simple instructions that could've made a huge difference. Before I even tried the food I was already really annoyed with their service. My cheese wontons were delicious, but the beef lo mein had no flavor. They were generous with the portion of beef given though. The beef was flavored, but the noodles were bland despite looking like they were drowned in soy sauce. I also got the diced chicken with cashews which came with a container of sauce. It was mostly onions and mushrooms and had little chicken. This place needs to improve on their service manners for the delivery person, but I would order from here again to find more items that were as satisfying as the fried cheese wontons. I also heard that it is open and delivers until 2am which is something all the Chinese food places in Oneonta do not do. So for that, I will give an additional star. The actual hours need to be updated!

My family is in the region on vacation, and we left Liberty (an hour from Tuna III) fairly hungry. I called to make sure that they were open, and a man answered the phone and simply said, "hello, I will call you back in 15 minutes." I shouted an expletive and my wife yelled at me. She argued that "at least we know that they're open." We decided to give them a try. Upon arrival, the "Closed" sign was at the door, but the door wasn't locked so I went in to inquire. Turns out, Chef Wilson was on his own, cleaning up the place by himself after a hectic evening. I explained that I called earlier but no one called me back. He felt badly, and while the place was closed, he took us in. We had the place all to ourselves, and aside from our hunger, we were in no rush. The miso soup was small (but inexpensive, and really good). It had a very strong flavor and included some nice ingredients like enoki mushroom. The house salad had a very nice carrot ginger dressing. I felt like my salmon avocado roll had a but too much rice on it, but the fish was fresh and I enjoyed it. I also realized that Wilson was on somewhat of a hurry to serve us, and being alone, I can't really know exactly what the good would have been like if he had his whole crew there. I enjoyed the sukiyaki... I've had better... it seemed like there was a strong taste of something like vinegar. Still, it was authentic, and I liked it. The only thing that was strange was this spoon shaped like a small ladle. It was hard to get the pieces of cabbage from within there, and I had to slurp, which really pisses off my daughter! My wife and kid both got the Sea Dragon Roll. My wife said she had found her NEW FAVORITE ROLL of all time. They loved it. Great presentation and excellent sauce combo... too bad we can't come back for it regularly. Wilson is a very genuine guy. I really appreciated his taking us in for to the circumstances. I would absolutely support this place if we were locals.

If you're visiting the Cooperstown area or anywhere in upstate New York, this is an absolute must-see. We've been coming here for years, and every visit reminds us why it's one of our favorite breweries. The staff is always professional, friendly, and attentive, making the experience enjoyable from the moment you arrive. We live in Texas and were in Cooperstown for a baseball tournament, which gave us another excuse to stop by. I had enjoyed Ommegang's Belgian-style beers for years, but this visit gave me the opportunity to explore more of their lineup. I was impressed by the variety of styles available, and everything I sampled was exceptionally well crafted. The food was excellent as well. The poutine was a standout and tasted every bit as authentic as the poutine I've enjoyed in Canada. It's not always easy to find great food at a brewery, but Ommegang delivers on both fronts. The setting is truly remarkable. Located on a 140-acre former hop farm just outside Cooperstown, the property feels more like a Belgian monastery than a brewery. The beautiful buildings, open spaces, and wooded surroundings create an experience that is worth the trip all by itself. The grounds are impeccably maintained and provide a perfect backdrop for enjoying a pint. Having been open since 1997, it's clear that Brewery Ommegang has had decades to refine both its beer and its operation. Everything feels polished, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Hands down, this is one of the coolest breweries I have ever visited. Great beer, excellent food, fun activities, beautiful scenery, and outstanding service make Brewery Ommegang a place that we look forward to returning to every time we're in the area.
