I don't recommend this place. I ordered prescription glasses on 2/25 and today 3/23 I still don't receive a notification. I called everyday this past week and of course AI assistant said my order was shipped and will notify when it's ready to be pick up. So finally, I called today and spoke to a female employee, and she said we emailed you on the 9th, I checked my gmail nothing! spam nothing! she insists that they sent the email. I was upset wondering why nobody bothered to call me. I asked if I can come get it now since she said they have the glasses and told me well they close at 5pm, it's 4.26 at that time. I asked her why nobody bothered to call me to let me know, she rudely said you can tell them when you come pick up your glasses! WHOA that is not a customer service I was expecting from this establishment. VERY RUDE! I am a new customer and for sure I won't be back!!! read more

This was our first appointment here at Mt. Hood Vision Center and My Wife and I love it. I just needed my prescription checked so I can get some much needed glasses. My Wife also needed her prescription checked but she also needed to try out some contact lenses. The staff here is amazing. Very friendly and helpful. We were able to pay for my Wife's Trial Contact Lenses contactless. Awesome. Less than a week later, My Wife's Contacts came in and she was able to make an appointment for the next day to check them out. The Dr was super friendly and made my Wife feel at ease. She even mentioned possibly putting in a application. I'm glad we found a great optometrist so close to my home. My Wife couldn't be happier. read more

Dr. George showed grace today and I appreciated his kindness. Our daughter experienced an adverse reaction to a procedure and ended up not feeling well. I would like to point out Dr. George sprang into action ensuring the matter was resolved and did so with a comforting tone. I haven't ever had an eye exam so I was kind of nervous. From the start everyone was nice! The sweet front desk staff, the awesome Dr, and the kind and funny lady that helped me choose the glasses! They made sure I felt comfortable and they were very friendly. I really had a good time there and they did their best to cover all insurance costs with me. Unfortunately you can predict everything because I did get an additional bill for a lab fee. That isn't the office's fault though I'm sticking with this office as I loved the experience! read more

Dr. George is not only incredibly caring and kind but he takes time to listen and explains everything in detail. I had an ok prescription of contacts before I came to him and he worked with me and went above and beyond to ensure I was 100% happy with my contacts and I'm glad to say I am! I would highly recommend Dr. George. My only criticism is the front office/scheduling. I've had a few times where there is confusion regarding appointments/insurance/protocol. Not sure if maybe they are in transition with staff but it seems like the girls up front are not in sync. But that's not enough to give then anything less then 5 stars! read more

This is my first bad experience at a doctor office. The doctor didn't introduce himself and didn't seem to care who I was. He was rushing and was not patient. The doctor was rude and I called him out about it and his attitude then change. And I get it he has done this so many times but treat someone as you would like to be treated. As someone who was their first time attending this doctor office I won't attend it again and don't recommend this place at all. read more

I chose Mt Hood Vision Ctr because its close to home, and a friend at work said she goes there. I found it a fun experience. Dr. George is very thorough and made me feel comfortable throughout the exam. Bonnie assisted me with choosing frames ....she is not only friendly, she is professional as well. Just having had my first visit with Dr. George, I can tell you he takes the time and cares to be very thorough in his work. I have been very pleased and amazed at the wonderfully professional expertise I have received from Dr. George and his staff at Mt. Hood Vision Center. I had not taken time to have my annual exam, due to my husband's very serious health condition and his need for my help and care. So when I did finally make an appointment, I learned that stress was not the only reason my eye sight had changed. I was truly overdue for some wonderful physician's guidance and wisdom of what to do to prevent further problems with accurate eyesight. I have been most impressed with the kindness of working me in when I had further concerns with eye discomfort, kind and wonderful information and explanations of what was happening, what could be done to improve my eyesight and prevent further damage and I always felt fully informed and not rushed during my appointments. The staff works carefully to assist in making appointments and referrals Dr. George requests for me. I had an eye exam at another clinic and came to Mt. Hood vision to have my prescription filled. When I went to pick up my new glasses I put them on and couldn't see through them and it appeared I was looking through a fishbowl with everything wide on the top and narrow on the bottom. I let the gal know that the prescription did not seem right and she advised me to go back and get my eyes rechecked so I did. My eye doctor looked at the lenses of my new glasses from Mount Hood Vision Center and found that Not only was it not my prescription but the lenses from right to left did not even match they were two different lenses cut two different ways so it was no wonder that I could not see through these glasses. I went back to Mount Hood Vision Center with a note from my eye doctor explaining what they had found and Mount Hood Vision Center said they would redo the prescription but it would be the same or I could get my money back so I chose to get a full refund since I didn't trust them to make me another pair of glasses. Don't go here people! The women in the eyeglass area are rude unhelpful and I have never had such bad customer service. They tried to make me feel as if I was not telling the truth about how bad the glasses were. Not the same as the last owner of this vision center. No wonder it is always empty when i have gone in there. read more

We no longer live in the area but come every year for our eye exams and new glasses. We have been seeing Dr. Clay for many years and are very pleased with the way he conducts our exams. His explanations are clear and easy to understand. The opticians are fantastic. They have offered solutions for various eye glass issues and are very skilled at fitting your frames. read more
