I was satisfied with Cascade Eye on stark st in Gresham, until this office refused to order additional contacts without an exam. Their justification is that it's too close to my expiration date 04/20/2026. My benefits renewed 04/01/2026. My contact prescription is still current and valid. I have called this office twice and they refuse to order additional contacts unless I get an eye exam. What is the purpose of having any renewal or expiration dates when they seem to think I can be bullied into doing what they want. I have looked into this, and I cannot find any law or ordinance to back this up. I did make a report to the Better Business Bureau. read more

As a parent.. My seven year old daughter had her glasses for a few days before they broke (twice).. returned multiple times that coordinates with the hours on the door. Notes on the door sorry we're closed. Finally on my fourth visit. Tuesday afternoon, immediately after school we arrived . "We are closing" . "Can I get my daughter's glasses fixed? Been here multiple times." ." we can order you new frames, and call you when they arrive.. Are you sure, I asked? what number do you have on file? The ladies were in their vehicles faster than we were. " if you like, I can tell you where to have them fixed " "Im here to have them fixed." The next morning, I receive a text message saying that because those ones are no longer available (discontinued). We'll have to come pick out new frames.. And another text while I am writing this. "...we discussed with you after we were already closed. We refer patients to go to Asterix Eyewear for repairs we can not fix. We always ask patients to call and schedule times to come in for repairs or anything like that to make sure we are open and optician is available....." No, thank you. Dr Bong is the best ! I went in not being able to see out of my left eye and he did a VERY thorough exam . He told me he knew it was on my cornea but didn't have the right equipment to check it . I went to an ophthalmologist MD to get the test done and that doctor looked at me super quickly and said it's dry eye. I knew that Dr Bong had done a thorough exam and had said it's NOT dry eye So I called him back and he told me again he really didn't think it was that . He referred me to a cornea specialist who immediately told me what I have which is a genetic disease of the cornea . I am so relieved I listened to Dr. Bong and not the MD who was so quick to tell me to just use eye drops ( which didn't work ). Now I am on a treatment that will work and I'll finally be able to see again read more

I scheduled to get an eye exam to get the proper glasses prescription following cataract surgery. Dr Bong was extremely thorough with my exam. He was considerate of my comfort and seemed to have my best interest in mind. I will be going there for sure for all my eye needs. Janelle and Brie in the front reception were both delightful and fun to be around. I very much appreciate an office where prayer can be requested. This is nothing that is even mentioned except on the backside of the sign up sheet. Can request some or none. I like choices. The best vision care experience I have ever had. Being a dentist.... I needed contacts renewed ASAP because my surgical loupes rely on them. I called this morning ,and Pam worked me in the same day to see Dr Macphee. The environment was extremely professional and Pam was so kind. There covid protocols were great as well . She handled all my insurance and had it all prepared for me when I arrived. Dr Macphee did an extremely thorough exam. He was professional, listened to my concerns, and was so down to earth. I never felt rushed, and they even recommended only ordering 6 months supply of contacts, so that there would be no out of pocket cost for me, and wait until January when the insurance recycles for the next 6 months supply. Bridget is the front desk optical manager and she is so genuinely nice and promptly greeted me and checked me out smoothly. They say the first person you see when you walk in a business really sets the tone she's awesome. Dr. Macphee is the best eye doctor I have ever been to. Previously I was going to an unethical clinic/ eye doctor. They never accurately diagnosed my eye prescription and I always left feeling like I should be able to see better. Dr. Macphee informed me I had astigmatism in both eyes and that's why I was able to see clearly. He took his time during my exam and even re did one eye because he thought I should see clearer. He's very knowledgeable and sweet. I'm glad I switched over to this clinic. My insurance covers eye exams for glasses but not contacts and they are very affordable and willing to work with you for contact exam pricing. Thank you! read more

The front desk was patiently handling a very loud and challenging customer when I arrived, and it was clear that they were doing an excellent job of balancing that along with not letting it impact the rest of us in the waiting room. I am so frustrated with Cascade Vision. Went to eye dr on 9/21 and still have not rec'd my glasses. Cascade blames it on the lab but the glasses were sent to Sandy Vision Center and returned because they were no longer open at that location. Due to the non-communication in forwarding mail to the Gresham Center the glasses never made it anywhere! Two weeks later and promises of "they will be here by Oct 15th or 16th" and still no glasses nor promise again of ever receiving them. Enough already. Requested a refund and going to purchase frames through anyone else but Cascade Vision. Beware! read more

So I have not had my eye checked for about 10 years or so and it got to the point where I was getting sever migraines from my eyes and my eyes hurt so bad that I was seeing bright light and I couldn't do my job at times. So i finalky decided to get my vision checked I scheduled an appointment with cascade vision in Gresham got time off from work. I come in and she says she does not have an appointment for me. That I came to the wrong place. I pull up my calendar and that's the address and time that I have. So she looks threw her papers and finds her notes that she did schedule me. She calls the doctor and he was in sandy. He comes out I had to wait about 30 minutes for him to get there. He gets there does the exam is very nice. I pick the glasses I want to she tells me that should take a week because of thanksgiving so a week passes I don't hear from them I call she says nothing yet. A couple days pass I call she says shipment came in my glasses are not there another week passes I call she says nothing yet and to stop calling that her will let me know when they come in. How rude. I'm missing work because how bad my migraines are and she told me one week two weeks passed and nothing yet. And she tells me to stop calling has the worst experience with this lady I think her name is Bridgette i hung up she called me back saying she is worry does not mater from the start i had a horrible experience the only good thing about this place is how nice the doctor was.
