    Olive oil tasting

I would definitely suggest the olive oil flight on the patio for some serene views and delicious olive oils

Whoa do these people have good pizza! Stopped by after a wine tasting to stock up on some fresh olive oil & saw there was a small kitchen offering sandwiches, pizzas & full on dishes.....meaty & veggie alike We chose the olive & tomato pizza & we enjoyed fresh olives from their farm & the most flavorful tomatoes Are back the next day for more they were that good Also indulged in the tastiest cheese & olive bread. Wished we'd grabbed 6 more loaves! We'll be back!

I had first came across Mt Olive products at the SLO Farmer's Market last year and fell in love with their persimmon walnut nougat which I shared with my mom who also loved it. So on the way to SLO, I knew I needed to stop by to pick some up. With four packs safely in hand, we were about to check out but was distracted by their many fresh fruit juices that I've never tried like plum and pine needle...??? Although I am all about trying new things, pine needle juice was a bit too exotic for me so I went with 1 plum and 1 pear. Because there is some sugar in the plum juice, it isn't as tart as we thought and quite refreshing so I ended up going back in and getting 2 more frozen ones to go. They have tables outside that you can enjoy your purchases and/or lunch which they also sell and the setup is beautiful just like a winery which they seemed to be flanked by. Before we left, we also tried their olive oil, tapenade, olive, and sun dried tomato tastings and bought a bunch of early Xmas gifts to make baskets and finally the sunflower sprouts that a fellow Yelper raved about. It is a beautiful place to stop for a break on the way to SLO.

Great find in Paso Robles! They offer great organic products. I love the flavored olive oils and balsamic. The peach balsamic salad dressing is amazing! I ordered a cup of organic coffee which was good. The food looked good but didn't order on this visit. I will definitely order food next time. You could spend quite a bit of time here. There is a green house, worm beds, alpacas, goats, rabbits and guinea pigs in the back. There's even a few ducks roaming free around the property.

We had a wonderful time at this farm to table restaurant. It is a beautiful location! About the food: 1). I ordered the pulled pork spicy and that was served as requested. The spice worked well with their BBQ sauce. Yum! 2). My wife had the Eden mix and it was wonderful with the fresh Fuji apples 3). My son had the chicken & arugula salad. He said the chicken was moist and flavorful. There is organic olive oil, soaps, tapenade and various and sundry things such as artichokes, chia seeds, honey, etc. This is a well run family run business and is worth a stop when in Paso or if you are here for wine tasting. Kids will enjoy the farm animals: goats, chickens, a rabbit, ducks, etc.

Stopped by to pick up some gifts for friends goodies to take home. A back room just left of the entrance has all the olives and oils for sampling. Im wasn't a fan of olives until sampling the jalapeño and garlic ones here. I can eat the whole jar. Purchased some apple butter here and it's a fave. Grabbed some soaps for the house as well. Quiet spot and pretty land.

Was brought here by friends on a central coast trip we took. We brought our daughters and they had a fun time while we waited for the fresh food. The meat in the sloppy joes was grass fed and well flavored. The gluten free bread was delicious and tomatoes were really good. Great store as well. Glad to support a family organic farm.

This place is a hidden star within 10 minutes of downtown Paso Robles. The prepared foods and farm products are so flavor filled and delicious I can't believe it wasn't packed! We had the mushroom and manchego panini and the sprout lovers sandwich, both were huge and delicious! The people are super personable and helpful with intimate knowledge of the farm, farm products, and the region. I Highly recommend this place!

Be careful for the sweet little lady Ms. Soni, who will come to kindly offer you tastes of the various oils and balsamic & her favorite mixes of them, lol. Once you start trying things... Came in just to look and wife's eyes opened with every tasting Ms. Soni suggested, hahaha. Wife ended up buying bottles of this and that. At checkout, I told Ms. Soni that I will be warning people about her, cause once you try her suggestions, you will surely covet the discoveries. She's a great, zero pressure sales master that knows her products! Even I managed to lock my eyes onto a Medusa, a jar of bleu cheese stuffed olives! In vermouth no less! Can't stand the olives in markets with oil in them, so this froze me at the thought to putting in my dirty martini, so it got added to the bag, lol. Trying the bleu cheese olives at home in martini, I think they are good and delicious, but too salty. Maybe I need to dunk the olives in water to get some salt out of it to make it better. Otherwise, delicious addition to the martini! And the joys of having bleu cheese olives at home made me think I may try stuffing myself when I finish this bottle, so this is a place for discovery and ideas to come alive by visiting! Not sure on all the other products wife got, seems she's been quietly using on her salads and what not:)

I like the deli/bakery with all the fresh offerings and a nice selection of charcuterie. Veggies are fresh, not always ripe but quite costly. The price for basil is staggering! As I walk the store, there are certain items I will go there for. Veggies being one and fish, usually salmon being the other. Not a great fish selection, never have bought any of the meat from behind the counter but the packaged section is a bit above average and expensive. I will give Albertsons a lot of credit for the wine selection. It's very impressive with all the Paso offerings, coupled with much more. While I don't buy wine from a grocer any longer, it is nice to know I could find some quality local wine if needed. All in all it's really a below average store for me these days. Limited items they carry that I can't find elsewhere for a price I don't want to be reminded of when I check out. In a pinch, use them but if you are looking to save on that grocery bill I might look elsewhere.

How had I Not heard about this place before?…read more I'm a local, I've lived in Paso for almost 10 years and only recently discovered this hidden gem. 6 Star Alert. 6 star Alert. 6 star Alert. 6 star Alert…read more SIX STAR ALERT. SIX STAR ALERT. That right people, I said it.... And 6 times to be exact! Because let me tell you, the Spice of Life in Downtown Paso Robles not only deserves those 6 stars, but they truly EARNED each & every star (plus a bonus star) that I am awarding them for their exceptional hospitality. Now, let me tell you why! While in Paso for my wife's weekend birthday getaway, we had such fun time casually strolling the streets with no where to be. While window shopping, going in and out of the various shops, and just meandering through the downtown area.... We suddenly came across a little business called: The Spice of Life From the outside, it was pretty obvious what we were about to get into... ----Spices----Herbs----Teas---- Hey, they had me at Spices, but the rest is what kept me from leaving there anytime soon. Upon entering this quaint little shop, we were immediately immersed into a world that I Love. Spices, Spices and more Spices!!! Yeah, I'm that guy that at home, not in public of course, that will put a little spice on my hand and lick it off (to test it of course). I know, but I'm just a spice freak, what can I say! Yeah, give me a good lemon pepper, a blended steak seasoning or even a Kansas City Bbq Rub and I'll gladly give it the "Lance Lick of Approval". Yeah, I'm a Spice Man, & I'm not afraid to admit it. And let me tell you, this place has got spices!! Yeah, there are Jars and Jars, & more Jars of the finest, most incredible spices you can dream of. But on Top of the Spices... There are Oils, Vinegars, Teas, Tea Accessories, Herbal Supplements, Books, and More! And with all that shopping... Why not grab a quick bite alongside a freshly brewed coffee or tea at their mini cafe right on the premises. Heck, we did! (We had the Vanilla Chai Tea Latte) And it was Fire! So what makes this place earn a well deserved 6 star review?? It wasn't just their great product. Or even their beautifully prepared drink. It was their hospitality, their graciousness, and the human connection that we felt that went above the typical customer vs. retailer interaction. The lady who assisted us (forgive me but I forget her name) but she might have been maybe the owner or maybe even manager of the place was so kind, helpful and made our experience exceptional, so thank you for that! With so many great gift ideas and things that we needed for our own household, you know we did some damage and got a few things to take back home. So.... If you are a fan of spices like me, love yourself some tea, are looking for some unique, fun gift ideas or just want to enjoy a nice, quaint shop where the service hopefully exceeds your expectations like it did for me... Then take my highly recommended suggestion and get over to the... Spice of Life in Downtown Paso Robles ASAP!!!
