Found out many years later that MTI didn't hookup the wiring in my car correctly. Took back to them twice and and one other mechanic before the new one found out that the wire kept shaking loose causing intermittent start failure. The new one wanted to replace the fuel pump just like MTI did. As they were about to hook up a new one they found the loose wire. All that was needed was a secure attached wire. Lifted my '15 Patriot, needed a 4 wheel alignment with a lot to adjust and tweak (adj camber bolts, adj rear arms). Tom was awesome, straight forward with the work and pricing, no b.s.. Johnny took his time on my Patriot and really nailed it where another shop had completely butchered the alignment to the point where I was not charged. This was probably one of the worst places to deal with. I needed a simple repair on my vehicle. The part cost $43. I called got a quote and was told total for part and install I was looking at about $120. So I dropped off the next morning. Next thing I know the guy is trying to charge me $650. When I tell him I can't afford it he spends 20 minutes arguing with me and trying to get me to open a line of credit with them. I still got stuck with a diagnostic fee even though I specifically told them what I wanted done. On top of that the man tried to tell me I needed something that my vehicle doesn't even have. He definitely pulled the women don't know anything jack up the price trick. read more

I don't think MTI is open any longer at their Calumet Road location, but my family and I had an excellent experience there. Very reasonable pricing, and straightforward explanations of any work that needed to be done. There were no games, we were never given any unnecessary recommendations. I have been to the MTI South Haven location once and was pleased, so the same standards of service seem to be in place. Note that this South Haven location actually faces US 6 even though it has an address on CR330W. It is easy to find. read more

Visited their location in south haven, indiana on Route 6. Not happy at all with their level of service. Staff was extremely rude and it took forever just to get a simple oil change done! I was the only customer there at the time too! Perhaps this sub-par level of service is the reason why their other two shops went out of business. I definitely will not be returning and would caution anyone else thinking of doing business with this company to think twice! read more
