Nice historical building with a comfortable vibe. It was a little smaller than expected and a little warm. The upstairs was interesting to see as were the old bathrooms. Most of the food was decent with the corn fritters and chicken parm standing out. Our waitress was super nice and easily handled our larger group of 8.

The food at Schoolhouse Restaurant is amazing. The hand breaded chicken tenders were moist and tasty paired with creamacaroni & cheese. And fresh made Cole slaw left us quite satisfied. They have a nice goat farm and store so the kids had a great time.

Home style meal that satisfied my hardy apatight. The chicken fried steak was amazing. The mashed potatoes were amazing.

I love historical restaurants and this was a gem! The food is what comfort food dreams are made of! I got the fried chicken was it was delicious. Sides include: corn bread, corn, green beans, salad, Coleslaw, and mash potatoes and gravy. I left about 2 pounds heavier

Went here as it's a DDD. Had fried chicken for entree. They bring salad, Cole slaw, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans and cornbread for everyone and it goes in a lazy Susan in the middle of the table. All the food was great. Cornbread was exceptional!

One of my favorite restaurants. It is unique to anything else in the area. Food is brought out quick which helps turnover tables because there is not many. Usually always a wait.

Food was good and so was the service. The restaurant is very small . Also I know it sounds petty but parking is gravel and it was muddy.

This place has gone downhill fast. A few years ago it was great. As of Nov. 2023, just ok at best and certainly not worth the price.

We've been there multiple times and have never been disappointed. Not only is the food great, but it's also fun to tour the schoolhouse.

One friend got the buffalo mac, the other got the teriyaki chicken with rice and broccoli. Both were very happy with their orders!! I ordered the teriyaki salmon with a side house salad with raspberry vinaigrette and mac n cheese. I'm not a big vinaigrette girly, so I'm not sure what came over me to order it, but it was DELICIOUS. 0% bitter and the slightest hint of sweetness - I was in love. The salmon was cooked wonderfully and the glaze had a sweet hint of something that I couldn't fully pinpoint (pineapple chunks, perhaps?) The mac n cheese was the low point of my meal and not even because it was bad...just because it wasn't anything to write home about. I totally will go back and it was very much worth the visit!! **can't remember how allergy friendly conditions were for the meals. Double check their menu before you go!

This place is an experience! My bff lives in Florida and every time she comes in town she has to have dinner here at least once during her visit. The bite flight is a great starter. The salmon is amazing, gator bites, salads, sandwiches. Seriously, everything is absolutely delicious! And it's a BYOB place which is great. Seating inside and out. Service is always great. I can't recommend this hidden gem enough. You can thank me later!

Bite has been on my husband's list for awhile because he's all about local small businesses. Any who, here is what we ordered.. Blue crab smothered fries 7/10 - So I don't know if they used fresh blue crab or in a tin, but nonetheless this was fairly good. Quite an innovative plate I would say.. I didn't know what to expect, maybe something more like a poutine...? The flavor of the blue crab and shrimp were seasoned very nicely. My only two recommendation would be... 1) they should make their fries fresh in-house - I could tell these were frozen fries and then 2) I would have like to see the "smothered" cheese/sauce be thicker because it was quite watery. Chicken alla vodka 6/10 - The crispy chicken cutlet was very good! Probably the best part of the dish. As for the vodka sauce - I thought that this was just okay and possibly its just my taste preference. There was a heavy taste of possibly too much cream? Or maybe even sour cream? I can't put my finger on it.. I don't know if it's me (it probably is), but I tasted even a hint of mustard...? Anywho... this dish was okay, the chicken really saved it for me. I recommend that they should do grated pecorino vs slices only because the cheese would be even distributed throughout the dish. The vodka pasta tasted better the next day as a leftover because I put a ton of parmesan cheese. Blueberry maple salmon 9/10 - My husband ordered this dish and I would agree that this dish was the winner of the night. Another innovative dish for a quaint local establishment. The salmon had a real nice crisp, cooked perfectly to medium, and there was a really nice smokey taste to the salmon. Overall a good dining experience - definitely small recommendations on a couple of the things we ordered on execution, but nonetheless we'd come back here to support.

It's on the bike trail which makes it very convenient and fun. Honestly, I've never heard of it but when we stopped, I was amazed with the location and feel to this place. Very outdoorsy and family oriented. You pull up and see a barn and a beautiful backyard. Feels like you at home. We had to check out the food menu! They have appetizers, salads, wings, sandwiches, and burgers. Your basic pub and grub. They have a really great craft beer selection. Especially on tap. We ordered: -2 Hazy Pale Ale 2026 Collab -BLT-A: Apple wood smoked bacon, Lettuce, tomatoes, avocado spread, served with marble rye bread They were slammed when we got there for lunch. But we still managed to get our food right away and it was delicious! The fries were coated and had great flavor and loved our sandwich. The avocado spread was fresh. Savannah our beertender was our server and she was kicking some major ass at the bar handling the bar and long lines by herself. Definitely on point and wish all bartenders were as attentive as she was. This was a really great experience and I can't wait to come back when we ride out on our bikes again. This is worth the trip.

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, especially the bartender Savannah, who was pouring pints like a pro. We decided to get a bite to eat there too to keep us going for the rest of the trail to Cartridge Brewing. Their menu is pretty big with lots of pub grub options from salads, sandwiches, wings, nachos, and so much more. We both had a pint on the Sip Trip hazy IPA and split a BLT-A sandwich with fries. Even though they were busy, we didn't wait long. The fries were hot and seasoned perfectly. The BLT-A was delicious and hit the spot for sure. My fiancee enjoyed it all too. This is absolutely a spot worth a drive or a bike trip.
