Ive given this place MANY chances as its the only place in the area for coffee really besides Dunkies. The service is HORRIBLE! Everytime I go there my order is wrong and its simply just a coffee with 1 cream and 1 sugar. When i get it, it looks like a cup of milk. The staff are rude and give dirty looks. Ive worked in a coffee shop before and I might suggest training your staff to make the appropriate drinks. If not, provide a station for the customer to make their own coffee if your staff cant make it right. read more

Definitely five stars - consistently good - I go here almost every Saturday. They have a variety of delicious (and unique) ice coffee flavors like snicker-doodle and toffee caramel. Their bfast sandwiches are amazing. They are never greasy. I often get the egg white, bacon, and tomato on an english muffin. My bf loves the Portuguese sweet roll with Canadian bacon and eggs. I've had the turkey, egg white, swiss, and spinach wrap - delicious. It's such a cute shop and everyone is always friendly. It has that local feel which makes it fun to go in on Saturday mornings (always a nice start to the weekend). They are closed on Sunday's which is a bummer, I'd totally go there both weekend days if I could! read more

I went to this place to grab some coffee and found out to my amazement that they do not serve espresso. How can you be a coffee place and not serve espresso. Shoot, even nasty dunkin serves espresso - So I left. The place did look very nice and seem to have a good vibe. If you only want drip coffee I say give it a shot. If you want espresso or espresso based drinks head somewhere else. read more

We wanted to be environmentally friendly, so my friend and I sat in the nice looking cafe and ordered coffee mugs for $1.65 each, which turned out to be TINY mugs (think college dining hall mugs) that can contain about 6oz of fluid. These are smaller than their small paper cups, DESPITE being better for the environment and less convenient than the freedom of those paper cups to walk out and take a stroll. Okay, maybe I'm revealing my first-world-overly-privileged egocentricity, maybe the coffee itself tastes wonderful; after all, that's what really counts. . . I'm sure if I got one of the "orange-mocha-chocolate-frappachino"-type drinks, the sugar would have overwhelmed by taste buds and masked the low-quality coffee taste, but, alas, no such luxury with a plain cup of joe. I don't know if it's because of my race but on several occasions the young ladies who took my order have been nothing but rude. And I'm comparing this to the interactions I've witnessed between other customers. Management- take the time to have them trained in some customer service skills. I've been to this place three times mainly because it's convenient and across the street from my job. I love their yogurts and breakfast sandwiches. While the food is good I definitely wouldn't come here if it weren't so convenient. The ladies working there are very nice and know a lot of the customers by name. The Mud House is pretty great. The inside has a great vibe and the staff are always very friendly. The lines in the morning are usually out the door, mostly all regulars, so it can take a bit of time. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing and they have some great coffee alternatives, like Raspberry Lime Rickeys (a favorite) and frozen lemonade. I would have given them five stars, but it really bums me out on Sunday mornings when I am craving a ham, egg & cheese sandwich that they aren't open. Did not enjoy my experience here at all.. The employees were extremely unfriendly. While the other customers got warm greetings, I got blank stares and even looks of judgment. I felt completely unwelcomed and out of place. The service took FOREVER and I was ignored multiple times. Cash only was also inconvenient but can't blame the service for that... on top of that, the drinks were frankly horrible.. the berry smoothie I got was all ice and some frozen fruit thrown into it.. it was impossible to drink using the straw and so flavorless- a complete waste of close to $5. Best coffee shop for miles around!!! The Mudhouse has it all- great service, awesome coffee and good food. The girls who work in here are so nice, always pleasant and really care about the customers, always someone ready to wait on you and ring up the order. They have tons of flavors of coffees (iced and hot, my fav iced toffee caramel with skim and 1 sugar) - all with flavored beans not syrups so you don't get added sweetener if you don't want it. They have lots of options for breakfast sandwiches including bagels with a home made veggie cream cheese with big chunks of chives and bell peppers. SO good, I def recommend. Their lunches are also fab, with a soup and sandwich of the day each day. Go there! Today! (unless it's Sunday, they're closed which is the only complaint I have) You'll love it! read more

This is my favorite coffee shop hands down! Their breakfast sandwhiches are to die for, their coffee beats Starbucks and Dunkins, and the staff is wonderful! I was SO excited to find a delicious local coffee shop close to my new job. For the same $4 I'd spend at DD, I get a bagel & coffee that are infinitely better at the same price. Plus, the vibe of this place is perfect-it's a true neighborhood hang out, where the workers behind the counter know the patrons and you'll see families sitting down for a weekday breakfast along with folks (like me) coming in to grab breakfast on their way to work. I come here on the mornings I need a pick me up and it has never disappointed. It's a gem! read more

I love to support local business, however, things have gone downhill since they sold the business. I order the same thing every time. The price often varies which is odd. Any where from .80 to 1.00. Same food and drink. I often get the wrong breakfast sandwich which I throw away. I ordered lunch (tuna and cheese) and it came with bacon and pickles. I threw it away. The workers behind the counter need to focus on the customers and product rather than their phones. They should wipe the tables and clean the area more often. read more

Used to be the best place for breakfast sandwiches and coffee! Been going there for years, now you need to allot about 3 hours of your day just to get a sandwich! It's a shame because the food is still delicious but the service is brutal! Just waited ten minutes for a lemonade, I was the only person there! I used to absolutely love this place!! Since the new owner has taken over things have drastically changed, unfortunately for the worse. If you're not 1 of the regulars, you have to wait longer. It's nice to see friendly people , but the last time I went in there there was a woman (who I think may have been the owner) standing near the counter. When it was my turn, I walked up to order & she walked towards me as if she were going to take my order. She then proceeded to talk to a customer sitting on 1 of the stools. She kept her conversation going as if I wasn't even there!! Another girl finally came to take my order...it was very simple, a large coffee & a SUGAR raisin bagel toasted with butter. It took another 5 minutes for my coffee that wasn't made right & then probably close to 15 minutes for the bagel. For some reason I felt the need to check in the bag & in there was a CINNAMON raisin bagel. When I told them very nicely that I ordered a sugar raisin bagel, they looked at me like I was crazy and were unapologetic. One of them said, oh do you want us to make you a sugar raisin? After telling them that I could not wait another 15 minutes for a simple bagel I just walked out. I haven't been & will not go back there. It's really a shame because it used to be a great little spot for coffee, breakfast & there lunch specials were great! read more
