Muddy Paws is amazing. I've been using their mobile service for my Yogy for 4 yrs now. Highly recommend!

They have a terrible booking system, you have to call a number that never gets answered, leave a voicemail and wait for a call back to schedule. They don't have a website, app or even text messages to book. I've booked them 3 times, one time they were 2 weeks out, second time they were like 4-5 weeks booked out, and then this time it was only 4 days out but then they canceled my appointment 6 minutes before the appointment time. When I was on the phone booking, I had to tell them we were only booking for one dog due to us losing our other to cancer since our last appointment. I forgot to tell them that we had also moved about five houses down on the same street. (I also had a newborn baby since our last grooming appointment so I have a lot going on.) While booking they did not confirm my address nor send it in any confirmation for the appointment and I didn't think about it until the day of. I called the number that's never answered at 8:24am for our 8:30am appointment to tell them they may still have the old house number but had to leave a voicemail. As soon as I hung up I received a vm notification from the groomer (we were leaving them at the same time) I instantly called him back at 8:25am and WATCHED HIM drive past my house while he told me it's too late and he was moving onto the next appointment lol 5 minutes before my appointment time, was told the update was too late and he was headed to the next client, even though I could still see him at the stop sign of my street :) he told me to call the main number, which I have 7 times in the last hour and still haven't received a call back. He didn't offer for the slots to be swapped and return or anything. Was incredibly unapologetic and safe to say, I won't be using them anymore. By the way our groomer has been Andy, which from these reviews seem that he owns the company, making his response and attitude so much worse. read more

That's crazy. Then say ok that's fine and hang up. Thats bad service all around raise the prices and then treat a customer like that. When clearly you're in the wrong. Wow! Tried these guys for the first time and had Marquita show up. She was so rough with our dogs they were screaming. They were crying so loudly we had to stop the grooming half way through. My dogs were even crying after we got them in the house as they were very traumatized by the experience. Marquita could not care less and has no business handling dogs, period. The owner Andy, when called, was unapologetic for the rough treatment and simply did NOT care. Andy seems to have had some success with his business and now feels he can treat customers with disregard. You can tell by Andy's responses to his other negative Yelp reviews just how little responsibility he takes for his company and his complete FAILURE at customer service. He treats people that dare say anything negative by calling them liars and ridiculing them. These guys handle dogs like they're from a junk yard. No Sir! My dogs are family and if you don't get that then you should just shut your doors and move on to a different business that doesn't require a caring touch. I guess because of the Pandemic these guys have so much business they just don't care anymore. If you love your dogs like they're your kids I suggest you do not use these guys. Absolutely awful experience with groomer Marquita, followed up with an uncaring response after the fact from Andy. I have used other mobile groomers, but was unhappy with the end result haircut, so I called Muddy Paws. I waited 3 weeks for my scheduled appointment and was super excited to try this new groomer based on recommendations from neighbors and reviews on Yelp! Well, my dogs are now completely distraught and half groomed. I literally could hear my dogs howling and barking while I was inside my house with the doors and windows closed. Why? Because Marquita had the door to the van wide open while grooming my dogs! Disturbing, not only because my dogs were not properly secured from escape, but also because my neighbors were subject to the incredibly loud noises from the dogs and hairdryer. I respect my neighbors enough to address the issue, but apparently Muddy Paws could care less! I went to investigate.... I asked Marquita to close the door, and she did.... but then immediately opened the window! Issue NOT resolved. At that point, I was concerned enough about my dogs' well-being and after being completely disregarded by Marquita, pulled my dogs out. No solutions from Marquita, simply "ok let's be done then" and off she went. My expectation is that Muddy Paws is skilled enough to know how to work with dogs. My dogs get stressed and bark like lots of dogs do during grooming. I do not find this is a unique trait to dogs, but Andy did. This was all my fault because my dogs are barkers. Well, since I did not hear my dogs barking when I used other mobile groomers I have to believe that this is the fault of the groomer not being skilled with dogs, or not caring about other people including myself and my neighbors. I believe Muddy Paws has enough business at this point that they no longer care about customer service. This came through loud and clear in Andy's return call, blaming this squarely on me. I was quite clearly upset about the experience, literally shaking. There was no apology, he immediately went on the defense and blamed me. He did offer to come out later today to complete the groom after I told him that I would tell my neighbors and yelp about my experience, but I'm moving on to another groomer. Very disappointing. That's my experience. Edit: Wow. Andy's response speaks volumes to how he treats his customers when things go sideways. No apology. No compassion. So let this serves as a warning to anyone interested in Muddy Paws for grooming. If something goes wrong with your groom, you will be met with contempt and blame. It is very hard to find a good groomer out here, but would caution against working with Muddy Paws. Good luck. read more

I really liked the way Andy was with my dog lincoln, but he treated me poorly and went off on me two different occasions because I questioned him about time and asked why he was late and than with his dramatic attitude yelled at me with my neighbors around who heard him too said with language I don't use that I need to find another groomer I did just that and found someone I'm much happier with and they came the same day and treated me and my dog with respect. Both of our dogs are rescues and have issues. Our former groomer told us not to bring them back. When we called Muddy Paws we talked about this and they were still willing to come to the house. Andy was amazing with our dogs! He left the van door open so the dogs were able to see outside. I swear my Border Collie saw me looking out the window to check on him. Andy took his time and established a rapport with the dogs even stopping during the groom to give some love and settle my dog. I've been using Muddy Paws for a few years and they texted me the night before my two grooms that they needed to cancel my appointment due to AC not working in the van and to call to reschedule. I called the next day to reschedule, had to leave a message of course since their scheduling system is awful and outdated. Finally received a call 2 days later that there's still no ETA on AC unit. I asked if they only had one van and the girl over the phone said there are multiple vans but I was scheduled with the van that currently has no AC. This did not make sense, why wouldn't you reschedule me with another groomer? She told me the other groomers are booked out until September. I do not understand this process as I had an appointment, you cancelled it and I have been a reoccurring client so why wouldn't they squeeze me in and send an alternate van? She proceeded to ask me my name and what breed my dogs are...then told me no! You can book for September or find another groomer. This is absolutely terrible customer service and I'm very disappointed in Muddy Paws. I had to find another mobile groomer in a bind and ended up finding an amazing new mobile groomer. Their booking system is seamless, simple, efficient and they are super friendly! I understand these are trying times and you're extremely busy but that is no excuse to treat your clients like this. read more
