I'll start by saying this, the server did a wonderful job. She was overworked and seemed to be the only one taking in all the tables. Let's begin with the ambiance of this place it is dank and gives a divey feel. The most concerning thing about this establishment was the bathroom had no water and the bathroom was filthy. If they are able to have the bathroom present ourself that way I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. The food came out relatively quickly but was not hot, it was more lukewarm. The only reason why I even stopped here was because the restaurant I wanted to go to was booked up. I don't see this place standing for another year. .5 stars and I do not recommend. read more

Came here for dinner while visiting OSJ and it was awesome! We opted to sit outside and started off dinner with some really tasty mojitos. Me and my boyfriend decided to split the chillo frito and we were beyond impressed. First off the fish was massive! It was so light and flavorful and not greasy at all. You could tell how fresh it was. We also got a side of arroz mamposteao which was the perfect side. My cousin ordered the NY strip with rice and beans and she loved it. She said the meat was cooked perfectly and she loved the beans. Our server was also so nice and gave us great recommendations on what to order and some places to visit and dance in OSJ for the rest of the night. What's great is if you opt to drive yourself there's a parking garage right across the street so it's really convenient. I would definitely recommend Muelle 13! read more

Ugh I was not impressed with this place at all. This was my last restaurant before leaving PR & I realized that they take their sweet time in the kitchen. Every place I went to in the San Juan area made me wait over 30 mins for my food & this place was no exception. I was already irritated because I was craving crab cakes & they didn't have it. I remember asking for something else & they didnt have that either. I just picked a random pasta dish from the menu because I was over it & exhausted from being outside all day. Since the food took so long, I decided to have them give it to me in a to-go container so I could eat it in the airbnb. Oh I forgot to mention that I ordered a pina colada & they served it in a candle glass lol. It was good so whatever. First time trying this place. My friends and I tried this place because it wasn't packed, plus my friends wanted Seafood. We ordered the Alcala, santa Maria drinks I enjoyed the AlCala which had Lavender flavor. Loved it. We had appetizers Croquettes de Chorizo, to die for. And Chorizo en Vino the sauce was a too sweet for my tastebuds but the Chorizo was good. Service was slow but still attentive. We ordered the seafood Paella surprisingly it was delicious. My friends shared this plate. We got full and didn't finish the Paella Stop by and try it, their dishes looked delicious as well. I was looking at the orders of the surrounding tables. We found this place while walking around the port area, offshore from a cruise. They have a very fun atmosphere with lots of decorative art. We ordered the fish tacos, pork sliders and fish nuggets. The fried tilapia fish tacos were excellent, as well as the pork sliders with pickled onions. Their homemade rum sauce on the sliders was very good. The mahi-mahi fish nuggets were excellent, and they said the fish was caught fresh that morning; it sure tasted like it, too! The Medalla beer was served very cold in a bottle. My MIL got pasta and her pasta was good, my man got a mofongo with yuca and it was very good. The service was extremely extremely slow... they couldn't find a Heineken at first then they found one. I was a little irritated with how slow the service was. The food that was ordered besides the burger was good. I don't know what's up with half the menu missing and when I asked for cafe con leche as I have 3 littles with me she said the machine was broken. If they don't have coffee , and they don't have avocado and they missing half a menu they should remake the menu with items they do have. I got flustered after ordering coffee and being told the machine was broke then being told there is no avocado in season, yet I eat avocado at every other location I ate stuffed avocado at Raices the next day. So when she asked if I still want something I gave up ordering food and just took bites of my man and his mother's food. I was scared to be told again we don't have what's on the menu and I was embarrassed to keep trying to order food. Unfortunately because of this I wouldn't go back unless it was to run inside for a drink. I do appreciate a food truck in these situations. Eating out is so much money and I really look to spend my money at places that take their establishment seriously. I felt like I was being messed with I don't know is the cafe machine really broken. The tintorera was more on the sweet side and the pinche pirate was more bitter and some spice. The menu was very limited which was disappointing considering that most of the options we were looking to try weren't being offered. There were only about 6 entree options that were available. My husband got the mofongo with shrimp and criolla sauce, it was lacking flavor and there were more onions than sauce. I got the mofongo with shrimp and the garlic sauce. The garlic sauce was delicious but also had a lot of onions. The onions weren't cooked throughly also. Our waitress was the best. Her recommendations for our drinks were great. She was very attentive and helpful. The restaurant itself was clean and cozy. There a bar in the front where you can sit and look outside and then a few tables towards the back. We would also ask him for napkins and he would say "oh yes, but I have another table to take care of." As if we also aren't paying customers. Please do not waste your time. My friends and I were walking through the rainy, hot and humid streets of Old San Juan and needed a break from the heat and humidity. We saw Muelle 13 with a cool aesthetic and decided to stop for drinks and appetizers. Our friend let one of the servers know that we were a group of six. She was not very friendly and acted as though we were troubling her by asking for such a large table. She did go inside and came back to let us know they had a table for us. We were seated and luckily our server was much friendlier. Unfortunately, after bringing our orders, he was not really present. However, our orders did come out, slowly. I had a tropical drink called Isla de la Tortuga and my husband had a watermelon cocktail. They were both pretty good. Unfortunately, I did not like the food at all. The croquetas and crab cakes were over cooked and overly breaded. I shared with my husband, but could not eat my portion. We also shared the pork sliders, which had a slightly stale flavor. I left most of mine on my plate. We may have stayed for a second round of drinks, but by that point our server was absent. My friend got her ketchup when her fries were already almost gone. We decided to ask for our check, but the servers were having some sort of a meeting in the front of the restaurant. We were about to walk up and interrupt, but finally were able to get our check. We walked in, and the place was busy. Luckily, the wait was only 20 mins or less for the 5 of us. In less than 10 minutes, we were seated. Our server's name was David (very nice guy who spoke English and Spanish). I ordered the strawberry lemonade, which was so good I ordered 2 more refills! It had mini lemon/lime slices in it and was very good! I also had some amazing chicken tenders and French fries. My mom loved the pina colada. Idk I don't eat meat this is what my partner had) Maduros (amarillos) we're cooked too soon, needed to ripen for a few more days, and weren't cooked enough. Fried cheese was cardboard but guava sauce was good. I'm a vegetarian so I asked if there was jamon in the frijoles because it's red beans and I know it's common. She said no. Beans come out, tiny bits of jamon, so small that I can't even pick it out. Rice was iight. Food came out with no utensils. I really enjoyed this place while in Old San Juan. The decor is dark but not negative dark. It looked really good. I liked the decor! We got seated right away! The host was very friendly and sat us and gave us the menu. Our waiter was knowledgeable and took our orders promptly. We ordered the seafood paelle which says it's for 2 people but we split it amongst 3 of us. 2 of us weren't hungry so if all 3 or you are hungry, one paelle would not be enough to share for 3. The flavor in their food is absolutely unmatched. The chicken was the most flavorful and juicy chicken I've ever had in my entire life.
