We were walking around Old San Juan trying to find something to eat and get out of the rain. We walked by this place and they had a greeter. We didn't stop at first but when we couldn't find anything else we thought " let's go to the place that had the greeter" we came back and were sat right away and our waiter was super attentive. My family and I came to Puerto Rico on vacation and came across Muella 13. Because it was 13 of us they could only accommodate 8 which is fine. So the rest of our party went else where. When we sat down we all ordered our food at the same time because the waiter told us the kitchen was closing at 9:30pm. I will say this, the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. It is not their fault. They were very understanding makes you think this kind of thing happens a lot, but 10 o'clock pm rolls around and half of our party gets their food and the rest of us didn't. Their food was cold and they were missing some items. Only thing that was hot was the French fries. So 10:35pm rolls by and we did not receive our food. At this point we just wanted our food to go. So we ask for the manager and he was extremely rude and basically said it was our fault that our food waited so long because we was siting in the wrong spot when we was told to sit here. He kept saying "what do you want me to do about it ". He was being very arrogant and had this macho man mentality. Our food finally came in to-go bags at 10:50pm and the manager expected us to pay full price. We felt that it would've been free if not then maybe a discount because we saw people come in after us and got food right away. So he discounted it at 20% and felt like that would solve everything. Of course we paid but my family and I visit Puerto Rico very often this will definitely not be on our itinerary. My advice to anyone coming here is to go else where because the manager was very very rude and has no customer service training. All he cares about is looking good for the ladies in the bar and his liquor. Never again ! I would give this place no stars if I could. read more

We ended up here by chance and while it was fairly empty our food took awhile to arrive at our table. My chicken burger was overcooked and my 3 year old's bowl of Mac n Cheese cost us $15. I thought I'd ordered a side order for him but nope, and our waitress wasn't willing to budge on this, even though he ate less than half of it. There wasn't even any meat accompanying it which maybe would have made the price make more sense. Our appetizer of calamari had an amazing dip but the calamari was very salty and the last pieces were almost too salty to eat. We stopped in real quick for a drink and ordered the crabcakes which were divine! My wife and I routinely travel to Old San Juan for leisure. The restaurant is conveniently located next to a parking garage close to many other eating establishments. It is a comfortably dark bar that one can pass the hot days within. I found the drinks, in particular the Pinche Pirata to be superior to many other tequila/jalapeño based drinks. For an appetizer, the Cuban Egg rolls were recommended by our server Paula. They did not disappoint. Highly recommend this unassuming bar/restaurant. read more

We came to this establishment hoping to achieve this goal and they ended up charging us 2$ for each BOTTLE of water, which we did not ask for BOTTLED water.
