Lots of growing pains ahead for this place. Very lacking compared to the Starkville location. So I've gone here twice so far. Both of them were terrible. I gave them another chance, but they never made up for it. Visit 1: My birthday dinner. It was all sorts of bad. It took literally over 10 minutes to get a waitress and we had to ask twice for one. They messed up my burger and loaded it with all sorts of stuff that it wasn't supposed to have. The waitress said she would fix it and brought it back. All they did was sloppily wipe it off and brought it back. My bottom bun was ripped in half from being soaked in the extra stuff and being wiped off (and not very well, it was still all over it). The manager wasn't happy about it. Oh, and I had less than 10 fries with the burger. It was a pretty terrible first impression. Visit 2: Still very slow service and they got the check wrong. This time my burger was correct though. Bonus visit: A friend just went to pickup a call-in order. There was a guy complaining about getting the wrong food while they left and he had been waiting over an hour. They were almost home and decided to double check their food. Yup....wrong food. Came in after a few weeks of being open hoping the kinks were worked out...wrong! Slow service, two fool orders wrong (it's a burger joint for goodness sake), but the food was ok. One more shot with me and it is over. Get it together. read more

I was in Columbus on business. I always ask about places to eat and Mugshots was recommended by one of my students. I then check Yelp for a confirmation and typically only go to places with 3.5 stars or greater. I took a chance today and wasn't let down, but was also not..."WOW, I have to make this place a regular visit if I lived here!" I would give this place 3.5 stars if able, but going with 4...positive they will improve. I had the Texas burger (1/2 lb with fried jalapeños, pepper jack, lettuce tomato and fried onions). I also ordered fried pickles. The burger was large and had descent flavor, I had to add salt. The bun was the highlight. The fried pickles were soggy, too salty and lightly coated. I provided feedback to their assistant mngr, Stowers who was very receptive. Kassie provided my service and she was very was polite and attentive. The food arrived 7 minutes after ordering which was much quicker than I expected based on other Yelpers. My recommendation is to give this place a try and choose for yourself. Food was delicious as usual. This time we tried the pasta which for a burger place was well prepared with decent flavor. The waitress was quick to get our order but lacked on any conversation with us but again was great at taking care of us which is partially why 4 stars on this visit. Ordered the mugsmary which is their version of a Bloody Mary which was great and also a mugsmosa which does not come in a mug as expected but a small flute glass like standard. Had to wait a little long for our drinks and the appetizer but after that service speed was fine. When it came time to order another drink though, the waitress did not seem to be available. I hope someone can help this Columbus location of Mugshots because it is just awful compared to the others!! When me and my husband got married and lived in Starkville Mugshots was our go to place with awesome service and amazing food. Now that we've moved to Memphis, we frequently meet our parents at the new Tupelo location and have the same great food and service. My parents live in Columbus and we visit them often and was so excited to find out a mugshots was opening nearby but we have been extremely disappointed in the service and food! This location seems to be extremely poorly managed and nobody that works there seems to have a clue what they're doing. I truly tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and went back several times just hoping they had an off day but time and time again, each experience is awful. So disappointed!!! Save yourself the hassle and go to Starkville. =( read more

This place is a joke. T-town hands down a 5 start but here in Columbus it sucks. I got a club sandwich and it was a half a sandwich and was soggy wet and just fell apart. I couldn't even eat it. Hostesses were great! We got sat with no wait on a Saturday evening with many open tables around us, so clearly not very busy. We had to ask where our server was because we were not greeted for over 10 minutes. Once our server took our drink and app order, she returned quickly with my water and the nachos came shortly after. However, my husband's beer was no where to be found. After a few minutes, I walked up to the hostess station because I needed an extra silverware, our server was standing at the front talking to another server. I asked her if the beer had come up yet and she looked confused. She walked to the end of the bar and opened her book to find that she forgot to put the beer in. Finally ordered food and everything came out fine and in a timely manner, service seemed to get a little better at the end. Overall disappointed with the brand new restaurant and the lack of urgency with the server. I used to be a server myself so I know how things are supposed to be done and it's always unfortunate to see how much people don't care about their tables and making tips. read more
