This is a great Chinese restaurant for all those staples you expect. The first time I went here it was delicious and I really enjoyed the egg roll more than any other place I've ever been. I had gotten the lunch special of sweet and sour chicken. The last couple of times I wasn't as impressed. We love the crab rangoons and egg rolls. However the Mongolian beef and second time getting sweet and sour chicken (which we received orange chicken) were kind of flat. No flavor or just muddled plain flavor that wasn't exciting. We will probably give it another go trying to replicate that lunch order but we may go back to our old Chinese place. read more

Very excellent Sichuan chicken with vegetables and fried rice. Chicken breast was fresh, tender and tasty. They made it just right for me. Spicy but not too spicy. Decided to try Mui's since it's close to my new job and my coworkers highly recommended it. I got #23 lunch combo sesame chicken. The portions were big and the food was piping hot! My rule of them is if the egg roll is good, the food will also be good and it's never steered me wrong yet! . The egg roll was crispy and good flavor. The sesame chicken was amazing! Light crispy batter on the outside, hot juicy chicken inside! The sauce was the perfect amount of sweetness, not too sweet but just right . It looks like a hole-in-the-wall place, which in the past has been delicious finds for me. I went with the number 5 sweet and sour chicken with chicken fried rice and an egg roll. When I got home and started opening up my carry out and at first, I thought they forgot the sauce and was about to get upset but realized that they put it on the chicken. It was the right amount. They weren't the typical shape, they were more like crab pizza pockets. I really enjoyed the Rangoon. The General Tso's was good portions for the American Chinese take out. My normal Chinese spot is closed for remodeling, and you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find a decent spot in the area. I, for the most part and like many, go off of reviews. I decided to try Mui's based on the fact that I was dying for some Chinese food. When I called to order, the person of the phone was nice, but I could tell she was busy. I am somewhat partially in what I ordered, so I was praying nothing was messed up- it wasn't. When arriving, I go in to pay, as usual, and you guys, this place was BUSY! You don't have a restaurant with not so stellar reviews, be as busy as this place. We ordered General Tso's combination, wonton soup, vegetable soup, and plain fried rice with sprouts and onion- no egg. The food was sooo good, and dare I say, better than our usual spot. I was a little leary to try this place after reading the reviews, but felt a little better once I arrived. A couple more customers came in while I was waiting for my order, a few called in for carryout, and they have a framed letter behind the counter referencing them as one of 2017's Best of the Best. I was in the mood for dumplings, so I ordered dumplings...opened the container when I got back to work and thought "I didn't order fried dumplings and why do they look like crab rangoon?. I took a bite and realized they looked like crab rangoon because that's just what they were! Don't get me wrong, I like crab rangoon, but that's not what I ordered! They were good though, I'd order them again (and hope I don't get dumplings instead...lol). I also ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce lunch special...shrimp with lobster sauce, fried rice, egg roll, and bread. I won't order that again...it was a little salty, and there is shrimp and beef in the lobster sauce. Another reason for the 2 instead of the 3...who puts beef in shrimp with lobster sauce? The fried rice is average and they give you plenty. The egg roll was just an egg roll. The bread was very good. Update: We ordered in for lunch today. This time I had the shrimp egg foo young and the dumplings/pot stickers (yes...I finally got them, no...I won't order them again). The shrimp egg foo young was very good, could have had a little more salt though. Yes, I know that's ironic considering my experience with the shrimp with lobster sauce. The gravy was good as well. Definitely on the re-order list. The pot stickers weren't steamed, but they weren't fried either. I'm not really sure what to call them. The filling was good, though. The bread is still good. Our regular place has closed permanently in light of the pandemic, so we were in need of a new place. We had tried Mui's probably a decade ago and deemed it "serviceable," but decided to try it again over the weekend. Let me tell you...we are IMPRESSED. Firstly, they have reconfigured the restaurant with the utmost care regarding COVID-19. It's like a person-portal, with a plexi-glass window and small counter. It was pretty clever. They wiped my debit card, wore mask and gloves, had sanitizer on the counter. A+ for pandemic protocol. The food was great. We got dinner for two with almond chicken and sesame chicken. The food was fresh, HOT, crispy, tender and tasty. Also, their fried rice was the best we'd ever had - it had lots of chicken in it, bean sprouts, minced onions and egg. We were able to comfortably make three meals for two from our $50 order. I was especially impressed with the care with which all of our items were thoughtfully packed with cardboard and plastic to avoid and leaks or spills on the drive home. I am not your typical ABC girl, but their almond boneless chicken is incredible. Maybe its the MSG.... maybe its their light, fried rice that accompanies the crispy crispy breading encrusting juicy chicken and warm, smooth gravy... I don't know and I don't care. This place is always delicious. Mui's is hands down the best Chinese takeout in the area. Completely amazing every time. I opt for the spring rolls instead of the included egg roll, but both are very good. I usually get three meals out of one lunch combination. Their rolls are heavenly... soft yet dense, somewhat sweet and always perfect with butter, ready to dip in the ABC gravy. And they come with every combination. I have tried other options from there... The Emperor's Garlic Chicken is good, the Honey Chicken is pretty good too. General Tso's is excellent, but with all of these I would recommend getting the sauce on the side (I am not a big fan of soggy breaded chicken).
