A place with big piles of stuff The first thing you notice as you drive into Mulch N' More are the two huge Clydesdales. Not real horses of course but very cool looking models. Quite stunning. Then you notice the huge piles of stuff lying around everywhere. Not just any stuff but mulchy type stuff. Lots of different flavors of mulch and also piles of sand, loam and stones. Even various piles of wood. If you like huge piles of stuff then this is your place. They sell in bulk so you can get great prices on garden and yard mulch. They will deliver but we always just use our own truck. A bit more work but it makes things easier and quicker. Besides the mulchy stuff they also have some very impressive aluminum statues for the yard. Bears, eagles, and other critters as well as sundial type things. They aren't cheap but a giant bear or eagle in the yard would certainly be eye catching and unique. If you look in the front stone wall near the Clydesdale models you will see a gigantic piece of quartz. I love quartz and this is one of the largest single pieces I have seen. Unfortunately it's not for sale but it's still cool to look at. If you need mulch, lots of mulch and want the best prices this is the place to go. Of course you also can get wood, slate or loam and even a huge and imposing statue. If nothing else it's worth a visit just to check out the Clydesdales and huge chunk of quartz. I'm reluctant to give five stars for a place that sells big piles of stuff but if that is what you need, you won't find any place better than this.

They say they are open until 4. We showed up at 355 and were told no service. They have paperwork to do. Never again.

They do not take card so bring some cash. I usually tend to stop for pumpkins, apple cider and the apple donuts. They are rather on the more expensive side.

Their cider is some of the best in the area - I don't know what blend of apples they use, but it works well with a nice balance of sweet and tart. While there, you might as well pick up a few pumpkins and gourds, corn stalk sheaves, and colorful Indian corn (my favorite fall decorations), and if so inclined, tromp through the corn maze. The place is wonderfully bucolic and scenic on a sunny day, and a lot of fun for the youngsters to pick out their favorite pumpkins. There used to be a herd of llamas there, but sadly, SHSH is only down to one this year. It's also nice to visit in late winter, around February, when the tree sap is running, and watch them sugar off - terrific maple syrup can be had here (and quieter in the winter with more time to chat with the proprietors). A quaint and charming old-time New England tradition.
