This place is wonderful. It was not our pet's hospital but it came recommended and we are considering moving to them when it comes time to adopt another family member. Disclaimer: this review is based off a single brief but poignant experience we had with them, and not as a long-term client of theirs. Our beloved pup died suddenly and very unexpectedly in Spring and in our shock we were at a loss of how to handle everything post-passing. We brought him into Muller at our neighbor's recommendation to discuss cremation and after-care. The staff here are beyond kind, empathetic, patient, and warm. I credit the amazing staff here for helping turn a traumatic experience for our family with 2 young kids into a goodbye that was bittersweet, not rushed, and comfortable. We brought our dogs, Bella and Waffles, to Muller Veterinary when we moved to the area 2 years ago. There is always parking available in the lot. When you arrive, they have numbered check-in areas to wait. We have never felt better about the exceptional level of care given to our dogs. Dr. Troy is so incredibly knowledgeable and kind. This was the place I use to take my baby years ago before he passed. When I finally got a new puppy we rescued him during covid and had to pick up at the vet where they neutered him. We had to stay since Muller wasn't taking new patients. I wish I hadn't taken so long to go back. About 4 years later we made our way back and really can appreciate the amazing treatment you and your babies get at Muller. We love it here. They take their time with my doggy even though he's super anxious and less than cooperative. They really care. They're patient and so understanding. I can't say enough about the doctors and staff at Muller vet. We have been coming here since gizmo and barley were puppies. Gizmo was been diagnosed with intervertebral disc about 3 years ago. We found out when gizmo was in a lot of pain and he was knuckling. I rushed him to an emergency vet on Friday night. The vet told me he would need to stay until he could be seen by a neurologist on Monday and go on an anti-inflammatory and pain meds. It would have cost me $15,000 or he would need to be put to down which was my biggest nightmare. I took him home with the pain and anti-inflammatory meds. On Monday I took him to muller and Dr. Iwata examined him and came up with a treatment plan which only cost me a couple of hundred dollars. After a couple of weeks, gizmo started to bounce back and started to walk on his paws. After 3 years gizmo is fully back to normal and sees Dr. Yamamoto for monthly acupuncture. I had been coming here for years with my rabbits and always highly recommended them. Unfortunately I won't be returning. My rabbit is 14 1/2 yrs old. I took him in several months ago because his ears were bothering him. Before they ordered any tests, the vet was already trying to tell me he's old and probably has cancer. I paid for the tests they recommended which was a skin scraping and some blood work. They gave him some ear cream for his hair loss. His labs were totally normal. They had no idea why he was having hair loss but that was it. I worked in vet med for about 7 years before transitioning to human medicine and working with cancer patients. Why would you immediately jump to suggesting cancer without any reason. Is it that they want you to just put old animals down? We took him to another rabbit specialist for a second opinion and they reviewed the labs and did a physical and are in awe at how healthy he is for his age. Maybe they prefer dogs and cats that are easier to work with but I've seen other reviews complaining of similar instances. read more

I expressed legitimate concern of the starvation diet my dog was on by Dr. Miller and was fired as a patient :) This vet hospital knows I'm disabled as well, mind you. Also, my dog hiking company said you are just as predatory and terrible as Apollo :) FYI I never personally did in any email as you accused me of. But now I am going to call you just that. My dog was overweight after I became disabled with a neurological disease and I could not take him on the hikes I used to anymore. They know I can't drive. They know my partner (who is not married to me and was never one of the registered decision makers for my pets) drives me. Before my disease I would sit outside during covid in the heat and walk my dog and and carry my cats in carries and sit in the 100+ degree weather outside until it was over. My dog got superficial wounds to his face the day I have to go leave for a flight across the country because my grandma cracked her skull open, and one of their staff members is consistently saying things about how my dog is going to die in 3 days, etc. after hours of not actually responding to the images I sent of what were superficial wounds to his face (the emergency Vet politely told my partner Muller are idiots). My disease had me in near-choking diaphragm spasms and full body spasms while I begged their tech to stop. My partner out of anger and horror starts yelling in the background, telling me to hang up, telling the lady to stop, and he did call them predatory (which now seeing other reviews and talking to with dog walkers, they are, even though I tried to convince my partner they weren't). They demanded that my partner call them because he made their tech cry. Did I get an apology for their tech's behavior nearly suffocating me to death? Nope! My asking for an apology got me fired as a client as part of my concern when I realized the starvation diet :) In emails about concerns about my dogs weight getting too low--which by June-August he was in his ideal weight range--I got accusations that I didn't bring him in every month to weigh him because I can...walk there? Drive there? Disabled with a terminal neurological disease but am able to see my dog's bones now and it's worrying me that I don't need a scale to know that he was starving. They used the first round of emails to have Dr. Miller recommend an increase of food to a dog 1/4th my dog's size and the rest of it to continue to demand my partner call Zach to apologize and "smooth things over" for making their tech cry. No apology about literally almost killing me though. Still waiting on that. Out of desperation, we start feeding our dog table scraps and 5 cups a day...since he's active on hikes and on a starvation diet. Come time to see Dr. Yamamoto and my dog is, in fact, now underweight. I express my concerns in an email that I do not want Dr. Miller seeing my pets again. I brought up the fact that when I first brought the concerns up in August (remember, I am disabled with a terminal neurological disease) that it felt like they were more concerned about my partner contacting Zach rather than addressing my concerns. I followed up with another email that while my partner was forced to apologize, I believed I was owed one too (for almost killing me that night) and to quote what I said: "And while he (my partner) was out of line and it was addressed, I still understand where (my partner) was coming from as he watched me about to leave for the airport, barely able to physically move and in extreme physical pain. Now that my extremely rare disease is all over the news, I think reading articles on the Celine Dion announcement would actually give you insight into why he was so mad back then, because they all explain what my disease is and what I was experiencing on that phone call while he watched and listened in horror that triggered his response" So the new food shows up and I'm doing the calorie math on figuring out how to transition my dog and I realized Dr. Miller's "increase recommendation" was for a dog 1/4th my dog's size. And I bring that up with screenshots, etc. Well. Apparently I personally have been a problematic patient and have nothing but terrible interactions at every vet visit and have been told mean and rude to every staff member, according to Zach, and all the other vets hate me. That I called them predatory in emails (My email histor. That I needed to bring him in to weigh him every month (knowing I am disabled). I am neurodivergent and not the best with social cues, but when I asked for specific examples of complaints from all their vets, none could be given. Not one. I was given 6 months to find a new vet. I ended up hospitalized in early February from my neurological disease, and asked for a bit more time with the prescriptions and finding a new vet since I was 79 lbs and trying to not, you know, die. And they said "We'll cross that bridge when we get there." Thanks, Muller. Lots of compassion. Sorry I'm not dead. read more

Words cannot even begin to express my gratitude for Dr. Miller and all of the techs and support staff who helped us through a really tough couple of days. My bunny, Sprout, is the love of my life. He's also an extraordinary difficult bun on the best of days. He came in for his scheduled neuter yesterday and went into cardiac arrest as he was coming out of surgery. Dr. Miller was able to pull him through with chest compressions, and while we must all understand that not every bunny is able to make it through, I am forever going to be grateful to Dr. Miller for saving his life. Again, many bunnies are not so lucky, and being the delicate creatures they are, sometimes even the world's best is not enough. After the surgery, Sprout was extremely weak and in need of an overnight stay at an emergency vet equipped to handle lagomorphs. We settled on Berkeley Dog and Cat, as Dr. Miller suggested. What blew me away (and again, certainly a one off in an emergency) was that she even offered to drive him over there in haste if we couldn't arrive soon. I am so happy that we got organized quickly enough. Dr. MIller coached us on a game plan we were happy with, ensuring that the calmest person would be driving without any distraction, and checking back in to ensure we all arrived safely. I cried many tears in the last 48 hours, and I can happily report that the majority of those tears were shed in joy. I cannot get over how caring, thoughtful, sensitive, and kind everyone is at Muller. They are so ready to turn emergency actions into a streamlined game plan to ensure the safety and well-being of our beloved animals. They really do care and completely put the animal first. Sprout may not be the last bunny who comes into my family, and I know he can't be with us forever. But thanks to Dr. Miller and team, I have been gifted more time with him. After going to Muller Vet for several years, I took my terrier in to have his Rabies shot done as it was out of date. As my dog as aged, he does not like to be bothered and on the last visit, was very troubled by the handling of the doctor. They refused to see him and suggested I put him on a Trazadone. I did just that to help calm him. I went back to the appointment today and before the appointment, put my dog on 1/2 a tablet of trazadone and he went on a good walk to the doctor so he would get any anxiety out. Then when I went in to my appointment, Dr. Miller gave me a conversation that was shocking to say the least. I was there to have a Rabies shot and she explained that if my dog bit her, she would have to report him to the county for not having a rabies shot. She then asked if I had trained him on the mussel. I said no as that was not suggested. She kept on repeating that if he anxiety went up and he bit her that she would call the county and have him quarintined. I said, thank you very much I will not be moving forward with this appointment. She followed me out of the office and said I was not understanding what she was saying. I told her I would pay for the appointment out of respect for her time, but I did not appreciate her talking about how much anxiety my dog was going to have by being with her and she was going to get bit by him. It was like she was walking him right into it actually happening! Anyway, if a vet has concern over a dog and their anxiety please provide instructions on how to move forward before the appointment and don't waste people's time. read more

I brought my 14 years old dog to them for teeth cleaning. I expressed to them at least 3 times that since it is an old dog, I was concerned teeth might fall off during the cleaning, and if that was the case, there was no point to clean the teeth, was there? Teeth cleaning is supposed to keep the teeth healthy but if during the process, teeth fall off, what's the point of doing teeth cleaning in the first place? This is common sense logic. The vet assured me there would only be a couple of teeth that might fall off during the cleaning. After the cleaning, when I arrived home to inspect my dog's teeth, more than 10+ fell off! The vet did not disclose that. They did not even call me during the cleaning to alert me that more teeth would be falling off as expected. if they had alerted me, I would have asked them to stop. They are completely irresponsible. I complained to Zach, the customer service coordinator. He did not show any remorse and was a complete waste of time, did not bother to address my concern and tried to brush things off. The owner did not care either. Everybody there tried to brush off responsibility. read more

Can't recommend them highly enough. We moved to the area from the West County four years ago. We had a ten-year old Golden Retriever at the time, and within six months, had added two kittens. Last Fall, we added a Golden Retriever puppy. Dr. Adams and the staff at Muller have been absolutely wonderful with all of them. Dr. Adams takes the time to call to follow up on lab results and always presents more than one treatment option for just about everything, along with the pros and cons of each. She and the staff seem to fall at least a little in love with all their patients - and a lot of pets are, unfortunately, not at their best when going to the vet. They take extra time and care with kittens and puppies, so they have positive experiences going to the vet. Our cats still hate being in the car, but are much less stressed than they'd otherwise be once they're actually inside. When each of the kittens in turn needed emergency hospital stays, they worked closely with the folks at Sage (both are fine, grown, and happy). Our puppy was spayed at eleven months this week, and everyone was very attentive to us and to her. Fortunately, we have insurance that pays for the spay, so she was in familiar hands, instead of having to go elsewhere for reasons of cost. During the pandemic, they've put into place protocols that make us sure that they've protecting not only their patients, but their staff as well. We've had to bring in all four of our critters in during the past few months, and they've been consistent about all their protections for everyone. This past week, we had to make the decision to put our now 14+ year old Golden to sleep. He'd had a rocky few months, and the day I called., they were fully booked. Despite that, they made time to fit us in, and were sure that we all were with people who genuinely loved and cared about him, as well as for him. As heartbreaking as the decision was, we knew we were in compassionate and caring hands. It meant a great deal to us that Oliver's last veterinary care was so sensitive and loving. They set things up so that our weeping selves didn't have to go through the public waiting area, but used a more private door. Muller is not the least expensive veterinary choice, we're sure - but given our experiences with four animals at all stages of life, we simply wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

I had removed a prior post because Muller's Management came back to me and made ammends, but due to recent events it would not be correct to withhold my review. The positive: Muller's veterinary team is competent and experienced. Our pets preventive care was very good. My cat had a tooth issue not discovered by his prior vet but identified when seen by a Muller's vet. The negative: Muller Veterinary Management does not care for your pet, and I make this assertion by experience and by repetitive occasions; if your pet is sick, be 100% sure they will not have time to schedule an appointment for at least two weeks. What is the point of having a veterinarian that is not there when you need them? A veterinarian that CARES for their patients keeps a schedule that somehow accomodates urgencies, my dentist accomodates an earlier appointment, my dentist accomodates even an emergency. Muller's eyes are on packing their calendar with appointments without contingencies, or room to accomodate sick patients. I understand that Muller is a clinic and not an emergency clinic, but what I'm talking about here is reasonable scheduling when a pet is sick during business hours. Muller grew over the last years and their level of care has deteriorated along with it. Muller should review their definition of CARE, how Muller shows they CARE for their patients? Marketing or mitigating negative reviews on YELP do not represent CARE. CARE is taking care of our pets when they need CARE. read more

I have owned pets my entire life and have had numerous vets for them, but Dr. Nilssen is by far the best I have ever had. She is so knowledgeable, caring, understanding and kind. She will explain everything in detail and always give you options to choose what's best for you and your pet. My dog has been diagnosed with heart failure and is now in congestive heart failure. She has really gone an extra mile for my dog. She has kept in touch via email daily to make sure his meds were working, what his breathing rates were, and how he was feeling. I cringe every time someone raves about this clinic. Run, don't walk, run and look elsewhere. Besides the crappy care my dog received for two months in the rehab (I wasn't allowed inside because of Covid and he was withering away as I trusted them), I walked around the building two times each week for two months as they kept me waiting most days even though I was told not to keep them waiting...the amount of dog crap and diarrhea on the sidewalk all the way around the building never cleaned. Not even just here and there, these were huge pieces and large diarrhea on the side of building right by the office. I don't know why I had to say something before anyone took notice. Wow! What caring, kind people. I had been using Cottage Vet for many years (and many bunnies), but when their last bunny vet retired, I had to find a new place. Based on a recommendation from House Rabbit Society (www.rabbit.org), I called this place when my rabbit was having issues. I got in the same day (so lucky) and they treated his issue better than anyone had ever treated stasis for me. Mostly, people say just force feed him Critical Care, but they gave him medical supplementation. When we got home, he was ready to eat and actually lapped up two bowls of Critical Care on his own before we went to bed. I didn't expect him to rally so quickly. I've worked with Dr Troy and many others from the Muller Vet hospital and have had nothing but a positive experience. My Jolie had some physical injuries from activities she has participated in and the team in the rehab clinic have been nothing but fabulous. Not only is Dr. Troy experienced and straightforward, but Jennifer in the rehab clinic helped tremendously in making sure my dog got not only the top quality of treatment, but also service.
