Went to Multack eye care on the recommendation of a friend who has been in the optical business for the past 40 years. I myself was in the same industry for 25 years so I know a good doctor when I meet one. Parking lot was clean with ample parking, the building looked nice aesthetically, you walked in and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. When I was taken in to the initial pretesting the technician was very friendly and very precise. She made me feel comfortable in what she was doing and how she was handling the tests. I used to administer these tests myself when I was in the optical field so I do know when it's done properly or not. About 5 minutes later I was taking into the office to meet with the doctor, the doctor's assistant that initially took care of me and checked my vision very thorough, very friendly, very knowledgeable. When the doctor came in she had a big smile on her face, she made me feel comfortable and that was a great relief considering I was going there for a very serious eye condition. She was thorough, very precise, kept me informed on everything that she was doing, put my fears to rest, and I felt very comfortable with her diagnosis. When I went to the desk to check out both Debbie and Erin C were super friendly and made it very easy to make the two follow-up appointments that I needed to make. I highly, highly, highly recommend this practice. Whether you need just general optometric care as in a general eye exam, or if you need specialized Care from one of the ophthalmologist as a previous professional in the field I say that you cannot go wrong seeing the doctors in this practice. This place is a well oiled machine. They are very efficient and communicate well. Each doctor has been great. They are not arrogant and don't make you feel rushed. Don't waste your time. After being made to sign an acknowledgment of their 50 dollar charge for missed appointments. I was shuffled from a couple rooms for some image tests and thrown back in the waiting room. The checks they did took maybe 10 minutes. I got there early for a 10:15 Appointment and at 12:30 still didn't see the Doctor. The lady behind the desk told me I was next to be seen and I watch a guy that came in an hour after I got there go next. I walked out. I would imagine if they received the same type of care they would be angry too. 50 bucks if I miss an appointment because their time is important but I wait for 2 hours past my appointment time and I don't even get seen. Not even a call to ask what happened. Stay away far away!!! read more

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff of Multack Eye and Drs. Multack and Jankiewicz. The office functions cohesively and flawlessly to give the patient the best possible vision and experience. I had cataract surgery on both eyes. I know I made the best decision both on physician and practice. My vision went from a pathetic 20/2100 (yes, true I verified) to 20/20 in both eyes. Beware! Ok first off I had an appointment at Multack Eye in Frankfort, IL at 2:25 pm. I filled out the paperwork online, as to ease the process (or I thought) Anywho....I walk in and there a lady speaking with both receptionists about how much her sons contacts should be as she was told $90? Whatever..then I finally get up to the counter and both of the workers are now trying to figure out her issue? They then proceed to ask another employee who had no clue. Meanwhile I never got, "hey I will be with you shortly." Then she gives me a form I fill it out she is like your quick..I'm thinking ummm hello? I was told I would be there for my exam 1 hr! Nope...have a seat in our OVERLY crowded wait area. We won't give you a timeframe but go ahead make new friends. I sat and sat finally got called in a room. The workers every last one of them (expect for my bff with blond hair that sits at reception desk in the middle) we're rude! Not my fault they over book and your over worked find another place gosh not that serious! Anyways..she did a test and was directed back in the waiting room...3:30 got called back did a test went in the waiting room....4:30 got called I'm thinking ok they close at 5 so this should be quick? Again waited in the room till 4:45 and she (N. Plummer) snapped ,"You don't have cataracts!" "I can't see the board either without my glasses!" Ok lady settle down. I went to pay and no one was in the waiting room you could hear a pin drop! Cmon ! Taking your long breaks and making me wait! They asked if I wanted to come back 4 months? I said No and left. Excuse me I would NEVER waste 2 1/2 hrs on someone and no one said a word to me. The end good luck but wouldn't go there! Also never explained the photo of my eye read more

Stay away, stay far away First thing first they are 100 percent scam artists. They dilate-and yes I said dilate-your eyes before your exam. After prescribing you the wrong prescription you will get the wrong glasses. Then, you will have to get cussed out by the person answering the phone because somehow you are in the wrong being that you dare to question their prescription. There's a lot of different places to go and I would suggest to go anywhere else. I know my wife and I-because of the way she was treated -I will never be back. Hope this finds you before your visit. I'm guessing the positive reviews are paid for the opinions. Also, I noticed one of their Doctors said in a previous review that most insurances don't cover their 40 prescription fee. Ours does everywhere, they won't take insurance, why well you can guess because it's a scam. read more

Something seems to have changed at Multack. They were great passionate and caring two years ago when I was first referred there. But the last time I went something seems to have been weirdly off. What appeared to be an administrative lady gave me this huge ugly snarl. I was really surprised as they had previously been so friendly. I didn't think much of it ( and I have fully earned legitimate insurance )but I'm finding now that they somehow failed to send me the typical confirmation of my appointment and now it appears that it is suddenly really hard to actually talk to a person to understand why they aren't following their prior procedures, or reschedule the appointment. They may have been good before and i had some really great eye doctors whom I'll miss but, something there seems to have taken a wrong turn. it appears that although I have legitimate insured and have always paid the bills that, maybe they don't care for the business? ??? read more

I went to Dr. Marneris for cataracat surgery on my right eye. After 2 appointments for measurements & needless machines I had the surgery. The first lens (the 2nd most expensive) DID NOT FIT! While inserting the 2ND lens he ripped it & had to take it out in pieces!! The 3rd lens fit. It will be 2 years in September & I have scaring, blurred vision & some pain. I have had stem cell therapy & that worked for a little while but I may need surgery. After all that measuring he got the size wrong!!! I went back 1 time after that surgery & never went back. I made the mistake of having an optometrist treat me for shingles in my eye instead of an opthmalogist there. I was strung along for months on expensive meds before she said I need to see a specialist. She referred me to someone but I decided to find my own and glad I did! He immediately took me off a pill that I was on for months saying it's hard on your kidneys. He gradually reduced my eye drops and guess what?! No shingles! Dr Nellie Plummer is an amazing Optometry Specialist. She treated my daughter for an eye infection caused by one of her contacts, which lasted about 7 weeks. With Dr Plummer's appropriate treatment plan and care, my daughter is doing much better. Dr Plummer is very knowledgeable and explained the onset and plan of care. She is personable and professional! I would recommend Dr Plummer for your vision care. Dr Nellie Plummer is at the Multack Eye Care in Olympia Fields and Frankfort locations. Also there is a parking lot at both locations. I found Multack Eye's diagnostic equipment to be the most modern by far, of any of the offices I had seen prior. His staff was warm and welcoming. Multack Eye Care is outstanding I got hurt in a bad fall on March 3 2015 I had so much trouble trying to find a great Doctor after going to many other clinics and getting no results for my eye care in a proper way. Dr. Multack might be a great eye doctor but i will never know. The front desk clerk Sherri was very rude to all the elders so i decided that i would take my service else where. It was crowded and she was angry because individuals that was there at 7:30 was coming to the counter asking what was going on and when were they going to be seen since it was 9:30am already. The only excuse she gave them was "We have 5 clinics" so be patient. That's no excuse for overbooking elder patients that can barely see and having them wait like that. My point is that people understanding that things happen like maybe someone called off or started late due to over sleeping or because of traffic. My thing is she could've been more nicer, diplomatic and compassionate to them and myself as well when i was returning my paperwork. While i was at the counter she was like what do you need (very nasty) I asked if it was ok to return this to you or would you like me to keep it. She stated that she would take it and I could have a seat. Now it's not what she said but how she said it. Unfornately, I feel for the individuals that has to go there and deal with Sherri. Also, the other clerk tried apologizing for her behavior but that's her buddy. They both were chatting together and ignoring patients while they were standing at the counter but she wasn't as bad as Sherri. Sherri just really stood out with the attitude and rolling of the eyes. Took my 15 year old here for an eye exam. Very nice and thorough. The Results were he needed some glasses. The only problem was The doctor wanted additional $40 to write a prescription for glasses. (they don't do glasses). After my office co pay and all the money from blue cross ppo . I find it outrageous they are asking for more money. Just imagine going to the doctor getting lab work done and to find out the results they charge you more money. I was shocked. I would look elsewhere for eye care. read more

I had a great experience from the second I walked in. Front staff super friendly. My daughter and I both had appts w Dr. Multack. He was so thorough and had the best beside manner. He actually told me my daughter had astigmatisms. She has had issues for years with her eyes and contacts probably because the previous doctor didn't diagnosis that. He helped me with my dry eye and had the cutest frames to choose from. The staff in the frame area helped my daughter and I get fitted perfectly. Wife went in for routine eye exam with a NO Co-pay insurance benefit ( confirmed by United Healthcare), yet front desk charged her a $40.00 Co-pay "prior to seeing the doctor" plus $40.00 more for her prescription? Called the business office to question these charges & was told wife was charged the co-pay because she had a pre-existing condition (?) You know - the one that the front desk person diagnosed before she was seen by the doctor? The pre-existing condition was stated as "dry eye" - this is a SCAM!
