Both the facial and the massage were enjoyable, and we were happy with the services we received. Unfortunately, the experience at the front desk completely overshadowed our visit. When we checked out, my friend was told she owed the full amount for her massage. I explained that I had purchased the online gift card in October of last year. The front desk immediately asked for the confirmation email. I explained that the purchase had been made months earlier, I no longer had the email readily available, and that when I called before our appointment, I had been told we did not need to bring the confirmation because they would be able to look it up. Instead of trying to help, I was told that wasn't how they handled gift cards and that they had no way to look it up. Rather than feeling supported, the interaction became unnecessarily uncomfortable and felt more like I was being questioned than assisted. The staff came across as rude, disorganized, and unprofessional, showing very little interest in finding a solution. Ironically, after insisting they couldn't look up the gift card, they eventually searched under my name, even though the gift card was for my friend, and found it. Then, after processing everything, they initially told my friend she still owed $100. When I said I would pay it, they responded, "Oh, sorry, correction, you actually have a $100 credit." That level of confusion only reinforced how disorganized the checkout process was. When it came time to pay for my facial, I was then asked, "Would you like to just do the customary 20%?" Rather than presenting tipping options or allowing me to decide for myself, the question felt presumptive and added to the uncomfortable experience. To top it all off, immediately after everything we had just gone through, we were asked if we'd like to rebook another massage. After the experience we had at the front desk, it felt completely tone deaf. There was no genuine apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. The treatments themselves were good, but customer service is an important part of the overall spa experience. Unfortunately, the disorganized, dismissive, and unprofessional interactions at the front desk overshadowed what should have been a relaxing day. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because the quality of customer service did not reflect the quality of the spa treatments.

Nicole definitely knew what she was doing! I did the 60 min deep tissue. She was very strong and attentive. She immediately found all my knots and some tight spots I didn't even know about. She recommended next time to do 90min and that I would see the best therapeutic results with a massage every 2 weeks. I would come back again and see Nicole! I do wish there was less sound bleeding and maybe the ability to turn the lights down lower/music up a little, but otherwise I had a great experience.

The walk to our tub was one of my favorite parts. The garden-like pathways with all the trees and flowers made it feel like we had left the Bay Area for a little while. It was peaceful and had such a relaxing atmosphere. Our private tub was surprisingly spacious and included a changing area with a bench, mirror, hooks, and even a shower, which was a nice bonus. We were also happy that our tub was open to the sky instead of covered-- it was so nice being able to look up at the clouds while soaking. I can only imagine how beautiful it would be at night under a clear sky full of stars. We came because we were incredibly sore after some intense workouts, and spending an hour here was exactly what we needed. It was clean, private, relaxing, and absolutely worth the money. Booking the appointment was really seamless. The front desk was friendly and helpful in providing information as well as suggesting some massage therapists who could be a good fit. I made a point to fill all my necessary forms ahead of time then ensured I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment (as they instruct) to get situated before my massage. The facilities at Spavia were nice, relaxing, and clean. They even provide neck warmers for you to put on in the waiting room before your treatment which was such a nice touch. The massage itself was amazing. Before my treatment started Muammer went through all of the requests from the intake form to ensure he understood my preferences. Throughout my massage he did check-ins for pressure and gave me a heads of on what he would work on next which made me feel super comfortable. I do a lot of traditional weight training and my muscle really need to be worked on. To say that Muammer kicked my behind in the best possible way is an understatement. His massage technique and pressure was on-point! A bunch of knots that were causing so much tension melted away and I walked out of the appointment with my body feeling rejuvenated! Something that struck me as odd were the number of reviewers complaining about not getting their full treatment time. It had me worried that my services would be cut off early. Rest assured this absolutely DID NOT happen and Muammer gave me the full treatment time as booked. I think that when you actually show up on-time with the necessary grace period before your appointment like you're supposed to, you get serviced appropriately. Coming to Spavia was a real treat and I can't wait to book another appointment in the future!

The front desk staff was very helpful -- walking me through the consent forms, showing me the changing area, and helping me set the password for my locker. After changing, you're given a robe and slippers. The robe is incredibly soft and almost weighted, which added to the comfort. It even has pockets for your jewelry or glasses. Phones are not allowed in the treatment area, and no video/photo is permitted past the changing room, which I appreciated (and respected) for privacy. The facial itself was extremely relaxing. The music was at the perfect volume, and the room lighting was dim without being too dark -- just enough to enhance the experience. The service included a hand and arm massage with hot stones and warm compresses, which was such a nice touch. One minute I was getting a scrub, and the next I was waking up -- it was that relaxing. They also have a retail area at the front where you can purchase the products used during your service. Overall, a wonderful first spa experience.
