We received ZERO responses from her the entire day on friday after several attempts to reach her through out the day. We begun to panic because if the liability proof wasnt sent then my daughter wouldn't have a hair and makeup person for her wedding. Saturday morning rolled around and still not a single one of us recieved a response from her, then by that afternoon we began to panic even more and made the decision to search for other options not knowing if she had proof of liability or would even show up on the day of the wedding since we couldn't get a hold of her. We had so many people scrambling to help us find a replacement and at such short notice this was such a stressful task to handle. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING YOU DO TO A BRIDE THE DAY BEFORE HER WEDDING! After the venue pulled some strings and helped us find a replacement we finally hear back late Saturday from Laiba telling us she just sent over the proof. My hair can do this?") I change it up a lot: I went from just lighter on the tips, to pink, to full blonde, then went dark and let my virgin hair grow out, then yesterday I missed having blonde hair. Not only did she remember details about our last conversation and we picked up exactly where we left off. Honestly even if my hair wasn't amazing I would come back just to chat it up with her. But that is not the case cuz my hair is a-freaking-mazing! Did I mention that I haven't had a chance to come see her for 17 months? It's hard being away from your kids for long stretches of time, but mamas gotta pamper themselves too. That's where Suzy comes in. Despite my lack of professional care for my hair, it still looked pretty damn good after all that time. Yes it was long, yes I needed a trim but the color that I initially got all those months ago didn't fade into that weird brassy orange color. My Asian sisters cursed/blessed with a Asian hair will fully understand this statement. Anyway, I can prepared with a few different colors that I liked and showed Suzy and immediately she got to work. Understanding my daily chaos, she understood my need for something with a low upkeep, yet still look great. My balayage took about 6 hours to complete, she really takes her time to be super intricate and thoughtful with each hand painted foil. And all the while my hair was getting done we had such great conversations, never awkward or forced, she did whatever she could to ensure that I was comfortable and made the hours fly by quickly. I just absolutely love love her work and I could not be happier with my hair. One thing to know about Suzy is that a busy woman. But even with all that is going on she makes time to squeeze in her people, so when I got a lucky break and secured a sitter last minute I took a shot in the dark and messaged her via IG to see if she had an opening (spoiler alert she is super responsive) and she somehow made it work.
