5 Stars for the nice kid who washed and dried my hair Negative 5 stars for the lady who cut my hair I came in here on a Wednesday afternoon as a walk in. They took me back right away to start washing my hair. A young boy gently washed and blow dried my hair. It took him a total of 25mins. Then comes an older lady, possibly the owner, she spends a total of 5 mins on my hair. She doesn't cut it to the length I want and she gives me an awkward blunt cut a little past the collar bone. She asked me if I liked it and I said no. She said well it will look different when you wash and style...umm okay. She was in a hurry to move me along to tend to her more expensive services. Well next morning I wanted to hide my hair under a hat. It was even worse the next day. She offered to cut it again at no charge but the damage was already done and I don't trust this women with my hair again. Not to mention it was $45. Never coming back here again. read more

I have been a client of the owner of this salon for over 30 years, since when she was working for a chain of salons. At that time she was winning many awards in contests for best stylist. Over the years she has maintained consistently excellent skills. I have had to try other stylists when out of the area, but have not found anyone as good. She now has several other people working in her salon who seem to be quite talented too, however I will stick with the original. I cannot recommend this place too highly. my mom has been taking me here since I was about 9 years old. I am now 19 and this is the only salon I trust. All the ladies are so great and Kim is just amazing. When I was a freshman going into high school I did a balayage and maintained that with Kim, until I got into college. I loved it, but this time I was wanting to get my hair back to its natural color. I was dying my hair dark brown and sometimes black so often to hide my grays. Loved my experience here! I called about 45 minutes before to make an appointment and there was availability. I have a random back story to what brought me here in the first place. Several months ago, I was carrying a huge box from my car to the UPS store (just next door to this salon). I was really struggling with this huge heavy box and the lady that was sitting outside the salon came to help me! That's how I remembered it-I thought, they're nice...I'm going to get my next haircut there. So I checked their Yelp reviews and read all of the great compliments too. I needed my really long hair cut to mid/medium length. I wanted long layers that created a V-shape in the back. I had my appointment with ANN and she is so sweet! Also, she took her time on my hair and did a great job! She made sure all the layers were even and I'm glad I found this place. The price is affordable and I even got some hair product samples. I'm not one to make appointments - if I want my hair cut, I need to do it right away or it never gets done. I called the salon, which is connected to John's beauty supplies and a man picked up. He told me that Miriam was available. When I arrived, Miriam seemed unaware and had another appointment booked, but she still took me. I got a quick but careful chop with side bangs and was in and out within 30 minutes. I paid $25 + $5 tip which was not bad considering that's how much it costs at Great Clips or some other discount barber. Good experience. read more

Made an appt for 10 a m the day before the actual appt. Got there right on time , signed in and sat down. My appt was with Maria who was already full on doing someone else's hair when I arrived right when they opened at 10. I waited almost 40 minutes while she chatted with the woman whose hair she was doing so I said I was leaving. She claimed she'd be done " in a few minutes" and proceeded to act like I wasn't there. I sat another few minutes and decided to leave while her and the owner Kim both ignored me. Don't waste your time or money here. They constantly change prices and to leave a client rudely waiting like that was unacceptable . I definitely WON'T return and tell all my friends NOT to go there. It was wayyyy better when Haley worked there. Sure miss her :( sad to say they lost a long standing client due to rudeness and over booking . read more

While washing my hair she talked about what shampoo I should be using and how to better take care of my hair. They let me leave with amazing soft feeling hair. Hairstylists are very nice and welcoming, but I asked for simple cut/trim and the hairstylist basically gave me a greaser haircut even when I gave a picture of the hairstyle I want. They need to listen to what the customer wants. Still a good place for a haircut. read more

Went in for the first time and everyone was really nice . I was greeted and seated promptly . Kelly (my stylist) introduces herself , I told her what I wanted a long A- line cut with a bayelage ombré . She cut my hair which was still dry to cut off the bulk before dying . (Well she seemed comfortable and like she knew what she was doing) so she goes to the back to mix color comes back and starts coloring my hair she's done in seated under heater she checks color and than washes my hair and than takes me to cut and style . Reminder her I want a long aline because I think she forgot what I asked for because she's chopping off A LOT of hair . Mind you my hair is passed my shoulder a good 5-6 inches . It's almost 7(closing time ) so I am asked to pay now and I do . So she is still cutting and after that she is done and blow drys my hair . Color is brassy and blotchy , hair shorter than what I asked for . She attempts to style and says it would look better curled so I go home and I can't get all my hair around the wand . I went back spoke with Kim she refunded me what she could and offered to fix but she was there when I left and that was the standard there's nothing that can be done expect wait for it to grow or get extensions and pay to get the color Fixed . I would never recommend kelly to another person she ruined my hair and thought she deserved a tip . My tip is keep kelly away from peoples hair because she doesn't know what she is doing . read more
