She can hire a lawyer if she wants but when it comes to libel or slander, truth is the ultimate defense. I travel a lot, especially a lot of overseas travel. I had used Lynn and Debbie for some time but after a series of rather shocking mishaps, I terminated our relationship. Here are a few of the issues: 1. One of the two was engaged to kitty sit for four days. I came home early only to find the litter box had not been emptied for at least three of the four days, so my cat decided to mess on the carpet because of her box being overfilled. 2. I have a dome litter box, and one of the two decided to leave the lid off while I was gone because it was "too hard to put on" (stuff and nonsense) so when my kitty did use the box, she saturated the surrounding carpet. $200 to have the carpet and pad cleaned afterwards. 3. When one of the two had an unfortunate encounter with the court system and was required to spend some room-and-board time with the local police, I was aghast to find out they have no backup system - if you're overseas, and something happens to them, YOUR PET WILL BE LEFT ALONE FOR THE REMAINDER OF YOUR TRIP. Needless to say, this is phenomenally distressing. I don't have local family here in the Denver area, so I depend on PROFESSIONALS I hire to do their job and make plans for when they can't. 4. They only take cash - no checks, no credit cards - for reasons one can only guess. It's very inconvenient to the customer, but they have their reasons for not wanting anything but cash. (I'm an accountant. We refer to cash-only businesses as paper-trail avoiders). I get that, but when you pay cash in advance, and they take the cash but don't visit the kitty as promised, well, there's a word for that. Not a good word, either. All in all, very distressing, very unprofessional. They may be great with dog walking if you're home, but if you depend on them when you travel, you do so at your own peril.

They are terrific people with a great organization. They were SO kind and patient. The dog we were interested in was currently being fostered in Roni's home. It was evident that this baby was being very well cared for! We were impressed with Lola's Rescue facility. It was clean, and so well equipped with every supply you could possibly need or want for a dog. We are so grateful to the people at Lola's. However, I highly suggest you read all the fine print on the contracts with the day care or you could be out a ton of money. We bought their largest day care package a couple of years back only to be told after a few visits that one of our dogs was no longer going to be allowed since he was too rough with the other dogs. Completely understandable. Since we have two dogs requiring the day care and only one was allowed, we did not see a point in keeping one dog in day care so we asked for a refund for the day care. We were told it was not allowed so they gave us "credit" that we were told we could use for any service including boarding. When we went to board our dogs this last time, they told us all of the credits expired after a year and we were unable to use any remaining credit. At no point were we told that the credit would expire. We would have used them a lot sooner if we would have known but since it was more of an "credit refund" we assumed there was no expiration date. Essentially, we lost out on hundreds of dollars and paid for services that were never rendered. Their policies and lack of customer service are why I do not recommend this place. Additionally, the "sorry, too bad," shrugged shoulders type of response from the manager left a very sour taste in our mouths. She did offer us $70 bucks off our $700 boarding total, but after losing the several hundreds of dollars on the day care that was never used, it was very off putting.

She was so hurt that my husband had to carry her to the car when she was picked up from City Bark Parker. City Bark did try and call us the night we flew back (at 6 pm - we picked her up at 7 am the next day) but they didn't leave a message or answer when we tried to return the call. So we didn't know she was injured until we arrived. They did reimburse us for the first vet bill but the total amassed to almost $3000, which was not all covered. But most importantly, our dog was in pain for days (our vet told us - and even called City Bark because of the clear neglect) without treatment. I don't want to take up all your time with the very unsettling, unpleasant, unsatisfying, and even uncaring attitude of the three who I met who were sitting around doing nothing. No apologies that not one of them would play with our pup - they had nothing but time on their hands and just left her. The worst was how she reacted when we picked her up, and it was obvious she was upset. No one took her potty because she cried until we could let her out of the car to go potty. In the house she drank two complete bowls of water immediately, and she was whining. She is not used to being left kenneled like that these days.
