We left our car overnight to have some work done only to be told they wanted to charge $250 for the work which we were originally told was covered- which was a huge inconvenience. Overall it's just not a place that I feel comfortable having my vehicle serviced at. I feel like the staff need some updating on processes and procedures and may be better, then.

In fact, the inadequate repair left me stranded on the side of the road in a dangerous situation. After explaining what had happened, I was assured that my truck would be looked at immediately when it arrived at the dealership. More than a day later, I checked on the status of my vehicle only to learn that it had not even been inspected. What makes this especially disappointing is that this delay comes after the service department already failed to properly diagnose and repair the original issue. Given the circumstances, I expected the matter to be treated with urgency and care. Instead, my truck appears to have been left sitting untouched despite the promises that were made. Communication has been poor, expectations were not managed honestly, and the level of customer service has been unacceptable. When a dealership's mistakes leave a customer stranded in an unsafe situation, the least they can do is prioritize resolving the problem. I hope management takes a hard look at how these situations are handled because this experience has seriously damaged my confidence in their service department.

Review…read more Irresponsible, inconsiderate, and highly disorganized. GO ELSEWHERE. We drove an hour to this dealer to purchase a new truck. Purchase was surprisingly quick and smooth, since we had planned on paying sticker price with no need for long negotiation. Immediately after the sale, the fun started. We noticed a loud rattle coming from the rear of the truck during the drive home--turns out there was a warp in one of the exhaust pipes, causing it to constantly make contact with the inner frame. Problem one that should've been caught by the dealer. We also noticed a very deep scratch over the rear wheel well. One that was clearly made by something metal, and one that was made prior to purchase. Problem two that should've been caught by the dealer. We made a return drive back to Lindsay immediately after coming home--to reiterate, it's a one-hour per way drive. The truck was taken back and the exhaust pipe issue was remedied. The paint would require ANOTHER trip back the following day, since their paint guy was only there on Wednesdays. Here we are at Wednesday--yet another hour-long trip to the dealer. We arrive at 8:30, which is the time we were told by sales associate David to meet both he and the paint guy. Neither are there when we arrive. Finally another sales person and the manager stroll in to greet, and take us back to the service desk. They set us up with a loaner car, and proceed to demand we sign a rental agreement stating that we will return the loaner car with a full tank and give them a credit card for said loaner. We give the credit card, but give full refusal on refilling their tank for a loaner they're giving us for a problem THEY are responsible for. They should be filling that tank, and topping off our truck's tank for all of the driving we've been forced to do to fix the problems THEY allowed to walk out the door. Our truck is being taken off-site for the paint fix, yet they don't tell us where. We had to use the GMC app to track the location and see where they took it. We were given no estimate of a finish time or date. We called David repeatedly on Wednesday, and he was unreachable. When we then called on Thursday to speak to the dealer manager, he also was out of office. We are now stuck in limbo with a crappy loaner car and our brand new truck at another dealer, with no clarity on when this problem that shouldn't have even occurred on a (massive) new sale will be resolved. We will continue to update, but we are confident this dealer deserves nothing more than a single star, and likely less. Complete mess of a process and toying with their customers' lives, schedules, and money with zero accountability...we wanted to scream at the other lone customer we saw on Tuesday to go elsewhere as quickly as possible (you definitely should). We are more than excited to go to a closer and infinitely better GMC dealer to refinance this vehicle shortly so that the sale is no longer Lindsey GMC's. Their response: a canned one urging US to contact their GM, versus what any other business would do and immediately contact the customer to resolve issues (they didn't even check to confirm that we'd indeed emailed him before posting a review). Zero stars. Truck was finally returned to us. Gas tank was left just half full from all the driving and miles that Lindsay did to and from the paint shop location. And even more, the back quarter panel looks infinitely worse than it did. Pock marks, speckling, additional scratches and gouges. We had called the dealer location that we tracked the truck to, and they had no record of a GMC being serviced in any way. This means the paint job that Lindsay did on our vehicle had no paperwork and no approval by us...it was a back-alley, under the table job set by Tim, the manager of Lindsay Warrenton. Upon speaking to him about the additional damage, he again offered no insight into the problems caused and also expressed not the slightest hint of remorse. As stated by one of Tim's employees: "the most you'll help you'll get from him is a tank of gas, if that."

I live in Fairfax now so the Fairfax Toyota is closer, but after a recent negative experience there I decided it was worth it to make the drive to Warrenton. Warrenton did the same work for $240 cheaper, and confirmed I didn't need an extra brake flush that Fairfax wanted to charge $160 for. The waiting room is clean and quiet, and they have wifi. The service has always been prompt, although I book ahead of time online and note what I need.

Prepare to be overcharged…read more Warrenton Toyota had a used, rare‑trim vehicle I had been searching for, and unfortunately that's where things went wrong. They did provide a Carfax report, which showed the vehicle was a corporate fleet car -- not the "owner's personal vehicle" as stated. That alone was concerning. The test drive was limited to a slow neighborhood loop until I insisted on evaluating the suspension, acceleration, and braking. Only then did the salesperson reluctantly allow a proper drive. Once inside, they accepted my offer quickly, but padded the "dealer service fee" (documentation fee) to an excessive $795 -- far above the typical $250-$350 quoted elsewhere. This fee is set by the dealer, not Virginia, and I should have walked out. Financing was worse. They only ran my application through Toyota Motor Credit, returning an 8.63% rate despite excellent credit. They did not shop for better rates. When I questioned the sudden increase to 8.77%, the finance manager dismissed my concern, claiming the difference "only amounts to $70 over the life of the loan." It was not what we agreed to, and only after pushing back did he revert it -- then announced he would not change anything else on the paperwork. It left me wondering what else was buried in the contract. I was also told I could either return to the dealership for my plates or pay $60-$80 to have them mailed. After being charged nearly $800 in dealer fees, this felt unreasonable. The most concerning part came afterward: the dealership never collected the rather large 2/3 cash down portion of the purchase intended to be paid from savings via check. When I called the dealership when realized, a manager admitted they should have collected it and instructed me to drive back -- a 2.5‑hour round trip. Only after mentioning inclement weather did she offer certified mail. My bank advised wiring the funds instead for security, but even that is risky if as they could just claim they did not receive it and it is essentially just like cash. The finance manager ultimately came to my home as the weather got worse so to pick up the deposit check. Even then, he refused to issue a receipt for the payment. He also refused to refund the $250 that the DMV paid the dealership after they incorrectly listed me as an uninsured motorist -- despite the fact that I had produced proof of insurance before driving the vehicle off the lot. This was extremely concerning and felt like yet another predatory practice. The entire experience left a sour aftertaste. Between the inflated fees, questionable financing practices, lack of transparency, refusal to correct errors, and logistical mistakes, I cannot recommend Warrenton Toyota.

I watched it keep getting worse and paint falling off when I washed it. Reached out to them. They tell me to contact Road Armor. I do that and Road Armor tells me for any warranty it has to be the person who purchased the parts. Ok, so I contact DTO. Ohhhhh well that was other "management" and they didn't keep good records and we have no clue who built your Jeep. WOW! Took it to my local professional to see if he could repaint. He didn't want to touch it. I have now been waiting over a month for this company to get back to me with solutions. But nothing but crickets. Do your research people and go elsewhere. Save yourself the headache and the excuses like "other management" "it's from the elements" and "we don't know who built your jeep" and I only heard the word unfortunately 60 times from him. I have only owned this Jeep for less than five years and it is a 2020 Jeep Wrangler unlimited. I was very excited when I received my custom Jeep from DTO. My last vehicle was 11/12 years old Nissan Xterra and I saved up to have my dream jeep. I spent a lot of money to ensure it was properly done by DTO Customs (and paid the money to have the vehicle shipped to me). The process seemed seamless...or so I thought. Within the last few months, the starter had to be replaced (which could be understandable due to miles but I am still within my extended warranty). However, I kept going back into the shop repeatedly due to the entire transmission failure, alternator failure, multiple batteries failure (2x main, 2x aux besides original within the jeep), reverse camera failure, grounding circuitry issues, etc. So my Jeep has repeatedly been in and out of the shop for weeks at a time within the last few months (impacting my military occupation), and again, this is within five years of the jeep actually being manufactured as it is a 2020 Jeep Wrangler unlimited. My Nissan Xterra didn't have this many issues and it was 11/12 years old and 190,000 miles. I am also literally now facing another issue that concerns electrical wiring to a custom part that was installed and recommended by DTO Customs when I purchased the vehicle a few years ago. Sadly, I even got the extended warranty (which the sales representative recommended as the individual assured me that any issues within 100,000 miles/5 years would be covered). Unfortunately, I found out that the extended warranty only covers things done by the manufacturer. So anything that I had custom done through DTO Customs (who actually sold me the jeep and shipped it to me) was unfortunately not included under the extended warranty, which I was not aware of until now. I have had to pay out-of-pocket due to the extended warranty not covering certain items to include the replacement of the entire transmission that blew besides the other parts that were customized by DTO Customs. While customer service may be polite and my jeep may "look cool", I just want a functioning vehicle that is reliable and would have not gotten this jeep if I would have known all the issues I was going to have within a short period of time. Sad to say that the trade-in value is low, especially for what I paid originally for the vehicle. So, I will not be coming back to this facility, and I will be writing to the management team. Here is hoping that after another visit to the shop...the sixth visit within the last few months and many phone conversations again...the issues will finally stop and I can finally focus on getting to and from work for the military.

Stating what was obvious with an attitude about my rental and the vehicle that was soon to be mines. My finances were already in order, so this purchase cut out their invasion of seeking a credit report. However, I mention the concerns that my financier was cautious of. A concern that may believe to be true, when he wanted me to leave the vehicle with no receipts of proof of purchase. Multiple excuses he begin to make about me waiting for a fix thay they were aware of, but wanted to make right. This coming from of the guys who was upfront. However, I cancel the transaction for purchase with my financial team. Making it clear as to why I had decided not to complete the purchase. This person of closure at this Platinum Motorsport was more concern about 8 potentials then my guarantee sale. His tone of aggressiveness elevated, because I ask for what by any law would ask for... proof of purchase. What a waste of my time and honesty because of his rudeness.
