I was rear-ended at a stop light and Geico had my car towed to Murphy's. I was nervous about it, but they did a fantastic job of repairing everything. Geico's Stacy Harris kept me updated about the progress of my car and Murphy's called me when they were done. The work, which essentially involved replacing the better part of the back of the car, took about a week and a half. Murphy's hours say 8-5, but I work until 5:30 and they had someone wait for me to arrive around 6 to get my car. They shared all of my paperwork, including the estimate and a warranty, with me and showed me the replacements. The paint matches exactly and they replaced all of the necessary Toyota nameplates. I hope to never be involved in another accident, but I know that if I am, Murphy's will do a great job with my car. read more

If you love you automobile do NOT take you vehicle to MURPHY'S AUTO BODY. I agree with the reviews that the staff is professional in the beginning. But if you are not satisfied with the quality of work the professionalism goes sour. I was not satisfied how the paint blends with the existing paint. The color didn't match well. They make the paint themselves which explains the poor quality. If you want a kindergarten finger paint job on your vehicle than this is the place. Otherwise go elsewhere. read more

Absolute worst auto body shop in the area! Repairs were so bad that the car was moved to a new shop where it was totaled. When my car was taken to Murphy's Auto Body on 12 November 2013 I was given a estimated repair time of 16 days. It was over a month before I got my first look at the car on 23 December 2013. The lines on it were way off, screws left in the back seat, interior was filthy, the list goes on. The second time I looked at the car was 15 January 2014. This time I noticed even more wrong with the car, they actually tried to hand the car back to me with paint on the seat and door jam. Third time on 30 January 2014 they agreed to bring the car up to me at my work. I could see issues with the car even before it was off the tow truck. The car's back door was flat looking compared to the rest of the paint. They over sprayed and got paint on the roof rails on the top of the car. They tried to cover up a bad window replacement in the back by using black paint over the messed up window seal. They used about 1/2 to 1 inches thick of bondo around the wheel well in the back. The car had two cracks in the fender when you looked at it from the back with the hatch up. I have pictures of everything and will be putting them up on the website I'm working on soon. Avoid this Repair shop like the plague, unless you want to leave with more damage than you came with! The owner Chris Murphy will lie to your face. He agreed to pay a fair number of days for a rental car, and when he saw that the insurance company paid most of the rental bill he refused to pay anything else. This turned into a five month nightmare for me. Two more months of fighting with the insurance company and Murphys Auto Body after the car was pulled from this shop before it was totaled. read more

Just wanted everyone to know what this body shop did to me through the Geico insurance company ( Murphy's Auto Body on Good Hope Rd.).At first everyone was pleasant to talk to, they did great with keeping me updated and they did an amazing job with fixing the damages done to the rear end of my car. I wish I would have read the reviews about them before I took my car to their shop but What they have taught me is a lesson. I have a 2011 Nissan Altima 4S special edition, I purchase it from the dealership with 93,000 miles. When I put it into there shop for repairs it was 127,400 miles.My car was hit in the back were both rear lights was knocked off, the trunk would not close and had to be tied down with a rope and bungie cord. So I went through the other person insurance for repairs (Geico) and was told that this shop had my parts and could start repairs right away and that they did great work. Of course I wanted my car fix right away, so I agreed with the adjuster and went with this shop. The accident occured on August 23,2017, I drove my car for 2 days before I took it into their shop because I had to work. I drove my car to their shop and left it that Friday Aug. 25, 2017. They gave me an estimate time frame of a few days to being 9 days then turned out to be almost 3 weeks before I was called to pick up my car. At first, my adjuster was able to be reached, then as it got closer to the 9 days, my adjuster would not return my phone calls and there were no updates posted on the progress of my car. On the 3rd week, 2 days before I was called that my car would be ready for pickup, two people called me. When I picked my car up, I was happy, my car looked great! All was good until I got my keys and got in the car and saw I had a Service Engine Soon light on and another light on that I had to look up because it was a symbol of a car with curve lines(its VDC). So I went back into the shop and told them that these 2 things were on in my dash, why are they on because they weren't on before I brought my car to their shop. The macanic that just handed me my keys went and got this machine and said that the lights might have been on because my battery was dissconnected and it needed to be reset.He got the lights off. So I'm thinking everything was ok. When I got ready to leave from their shop and jumped into traffic, that is when I realized I had a major problem, my car would not acelerate over 5. I drove the car around the corner back to there shop with the jerking and all and I went back in the shop and told them that my car was broke, that it was not driveable and what did they do to my car?! Of course everone looked at me like I lost my mine. The same macanic with another person wanted to prove me wrong, so they took the car for a drive while I sat in the back. Now they understood what I was talking about. The car had no speed, it sounded as if it was going to cut off and it was jerking. I asked them if they had taken my car for a test drive before I was told to come and pick it up? Both macanics looked at me with a shock and said no because the damages was done to the rear. They then put the machine back on my car because the lights came back on in the dash, they then told me that it was a sensor to my mass air flow that was going bad and I would have to replace that. I was becoming angry and told them that how after 3 weeks of my car sitting in their shop all of a sudden a sensor is going bad,lights are on in my dash and my car want even drive. I told them that I was not excepting my car in that condition because it was not like that before I brought it to their shop. What they did after that was give me a quick fix to get me from there shop. Before they gave me a quick fix they tried to tell me that the problem was my problem to fix. Once I got home the car did the same thing and kept cutting off. I called back to the shop to speak with a supervisor about this situation, not until this day have he called me back. I did speak with the Geico adjuster who was not much of a help. He told me that I would have to replace the sensor myself because the accident was to the rear. So I took it to the Nissan dealership and found out that I am going to have to replace my sensor with a Nissan sensor because I did have it replaced but not with the Nissan part. So before I can find out what these people have done to my car I have to pay $545 to put a Nissan sensor in my car and then move forward to find out what is going on with my car. I read the reviews that this shop was great but they were not great to me. I would not recommend anyone to them unless you don't mine spending money on hidden things that they may have done to your car because they are working together with the Geico insurance company. They say you have a life time warrenty as long as you keep the same car. Why would I want to take my car back to them after the way they have done me. I was pleasantly surprised with the customer service, the frank discussion about service recommendations and alternatives, and the no-nonsense manner in which they conducted business and made me feel empowered in the decision process. They even went so far as to resolve one of the issues without charge. I was thoroughly impressed and thanks to their advice and no-nonsense approach, I decided that I could exercise a different alternative for my scrapes and scratches.
