But if I did play pool, would I enjoy playing on these tables? More than likely, yes. The pub's motto is: "What happens at McGarvey's stays at McGarvey's". I personally don't think that's their actual motto because no one has ever said it besides me, nonetheless, it rings true. What happens at McGarvey's stays at McGarvey's because by the next morning, you won't remember anything that happened at McGarvey's... But the bartenders will. They remember everything. And you know where they stay? At McGarvey's. All the time. These were served with a pea and bacon risotto whose rich flavors matched the meatballs perfectly and the accompanying crisped breads balanced texture for the perfect combo. The pork belly tostadas had a great combination of toppings that gave them a fresh feel and almost made pork belly feel healthy, and the popover short rib dish was perfectly cooked and tasty. This one wasn't my dish, but I managed to snag a nibble and may be ordering it next time if they decide to add it to the regular menu. So good! The dishes were a nice size, leaving room for desert, and the fresh fruit meringue was an excellent finale. The restaurant itself is small, with a bar and just a handful of indoor tables. They had 4 more tables outside, however, which would be great on slightly cooler days. The indoor window seat we got was comfortable and the whole place had a cozy, friendly feel. Service was top notch, from a greeting as we entered to constant attention - we never really noticed our slightly small (bar style) table as all the dishes were cleared so quickly. I loved this place and will probably have to keep returning until I've tried the whole menu. I'm definitely hoping to try the outdoor tables next if weather permits.

We made reservations weeks ahead for 9 for Saturday night, and we got seated next to the bar. People not seated at the bar were on both sides of the table talking over us to talk to those seated at the bar. We couldn't hear each other! We were so close to the bar servers couldn't get around the table. We had to pass drinks and food over to the other side of the table. Water cannisters had no ice, water was warm. Apps and entrees came out at the same time on the same server trays! Entrees were cold, were done too soon and waited for apps? Steaks were cold, didn't melt butter on top. Crab cake was so salty, almost not edible. Chix and waffles was ok! I asked for Olive oil and vinegar for salad and was told they don't have that. Someone asked for a lemontini and was told had to order from specialty drink menu only. Is this not a full bar? Waiter knew they couldn't make it? We left with- out dessert, because we weren't asked if we wanted any! read more

I come here all the time because the environment is great. They have an outdoor bar with live music playing most nights so you can enjoy the fresh air and listen to good local talent. I haven't had a single meal or appetizer yet that I haven't liked. They have over 100 beers on tap so whatever you like they probably have it or have something similar. There's TV's so you can watch the Sox and there's always a good crowd at the bar. If you're looking for a great bartender who takes care of you and is friendly ask for Jocelyn. Every time I'm there she greets me with a smile on her face and is quick to take care of me or inform me of any delays with food or beer. read more

Hi. My friend was helping some rando Yuke in the bathroom and they didn't even let her back in. She was being a Good Samaritan and didn't even get let back in. That's seriously messed up. I am honestly surprised there are still other bars still in business after visiting this place! They have a beautiful (and clean) deck, live bands, games, and quick bar tenders. The BBQ chicken nachos are so good! The first time we came here Kristy was our waitress. She does a great job balancing all of her tables. Even though she is always running around she still spends time with each table, getting to know their preferences making her a fantastic waitress. After eating some of the food, I asked for a to-go box and was then told they don't provide to-go boxes for the promotion. At that point, I was pretty frustrated. Ive only heard of no to go boxes for places that have an all you can eat. If I had been told from the beginning that I couldnt box up any uneaten food and that I needed to purchase two drinks, I for sure would not have ate there. And honestly, what makes this a one-star experience is that the burgers weren't even that good. So after dealing with all the restrictions, the food itself didn't make the hassle worthwhile. One other thing to watch out for: the receipt appears to calculate the suggested gratuity based on the full price of both burgers rather than the discounted promotional price. If you blindly follow the suggested tip amount, you could end up significantly over-tipping. They also dont have Apple Pay either and I left my wallet so I had to phone a friend to help me out. Between the confusing promotion, poor communication, mediocre food, and questionable tip calculation, this was a frustrating experience. I definitely won't be back.
