As a pre-med student from Georgia tech, I really enjoyed the education I received here. The outside…read moreis discouraging but the inside is everything you need to get a certificate. I did the 8 week phlebotomy course and was certified by the end of it. I definitely had more knowledge coming into the program than some of the other students but Ms. Donna makes sure everyone knows what they need to know. We drew blood on the first day that we were there! We go one at a time so Ms. Donna can watch over everyone and guide them through the steps. We did it pretty much every class, and by the end, everyone was fairly confident taking blood by themselves. Ms. Donna was the only person running the whole school when I got there. She expanded the inside to another suite so there's more room to practice and study. She is extremely talented at teaching. She'll put you on the spot about material that you learned in previous lessons, so make sure you keep up. I think this course was worth every dollar that I spent with how much hands on experience you get.

Safety Schools like GA State University (merged with Ga Perimeter College), Kennesaw State University (merged with Southern Polytechnical State University), Georgia Southern University, Columbus State University 3. HBCUs which are really in a class of their own (Morehouse, Clayton State University, Clark Atlanta University, Albany State, Savannah State University, Fort Valley State University, etc) or Atlanta Technical College 4. All woman colleges like Spellman or Agnes Scott 5. Colleges weirdly named small private schools or religious schools you see ads for or considered but will most likely not go to/not ranked Nationally not an HBCU PBI or Minority Majority School but are for the local population (Ga Perimeter, Ga Gwinnett, Gwinnett Tech, Augusta State, Valdosta State, Middle Georgia, South Georgia, UWG, UNG, Dalton, Armstrong Atlantic State University, College of Coastal Georgia, Ga College & State University - not to be confused with Georgia State University, Devry University, Life University, Beulah Heights University, South University, Thomas University, Shorter University, Thomas University, Reinhardt University, Baulder, Wesleyan Abraham Baldwin Agricultural, Brewton-Parker, Berry, Paine, Columbia Theological Seminary, Lagrange, Piedmont, Truett-McConnell, Emmanuel, 6. Lol no offense imo but rip-off or Non-Accredited Colleges like SCAD the Art Institute of Atlanta 7. last and least lol 2-year colleges or Technical College or Vocational Schools Some of the rankings blend but generally shoot for the higher ranks of schools if you can't start at the lower ranks. Unfortunately, there's a huge gap between the Really Highly Ranked Colleges and the Safety Schools which seems like there is a barrier of entry for marginalized students or POC, but you could work hard and transfer even if you start at a 2 year college or Technical College. So, by all means considerably Id say in the state of Georgia, GA State University is a great option if you care for Research and name and prestige and diversity and value financially Return of Interest.

This housing office is the absolute worst. With all of the kids accepted by the university, how come they cannot adequately house the students they owe this responsibility to? One solution that was given, was to house my daughter in a hotel for the semester. How could this even be remotely considered safe to house students in hotels throughout the semester instead of the proper collegiate dorms that our money purchases? I do not recommend sending your kids here as it seems they are more concerned about accepting kids for the sake of tuition instead of properly taking care of the kids once in their care. Go else where.

The instructor Mr. McCall thoroughly taught the course and was very knowledgeable and detailed- oriented. He entrusted us with the equipment and made sure we had a clear understanding of how to inspect, drive, and be safe in our working and with our peers. I highly recommend and encourage others to take a chance on yourself and them and enroll in the course. It is completely worth it.
