I really wanted to give Murray Hill taphouse a higher rating, because the food was pretty good. However, the service was beyond below par. Literally, within the first minute of entering, the service was poor the host was rude. Once sat our actual waiter was very nice and prompt. We're taking our drinks order. But then basically disappeared for 20 to 30 minutes. We had to ask for someone to come take our order. And normally this wouldn't bother me so much but we had a four-year-old with us that was getting very antsy. Finally got her food. Food was great, no complaints and our waiter was pretty decent through the food service. However, when we asked him about checks, he left us for another 25 minutes and then finally brought them over. I have been here a a few times now and I am not disappointed. It may have been crazy for a place to open up in the pandemic but they have a great menu, tons of variety in drinks, and first rate service. Harrison was the consumate service person. Best dining experience I've had in quite a while. My boyfriend and I had Valentine's dinner here and really enjoyed ourselves. For starters, the quality of the meal you get for the price is unmatched. I had the beef short ribs and that was unbelievable...I can't stop thinking about it. Went on opening day and was underwhelmed on both food and service but racked it up to opening day jitters. Visited last week for family celebration and service was great. The kale salad & margarita pizza were delicious and left satisfied. Visited tonight and shared the same order with a friend. The pizza came out in a rectangle, different crust & greasy. They are experimenting apparently which should be done with staff, not customers in my view. But what bugged me the most upon closing out the tab (was there with friends splitting the check 5 ways), we were told they don't accept cash. They will accept it for tips, but not the bill? hmmm. So, I get that a lot of people choose not to carry cash anymore, and that's their choice, but many do and it's our legal tender. It actually costs the business more for card fees. Take Cash please. The service and outside dining were wonderful on one of our last warm October Days. The food tasted great, but the next day I'm sure that something contained wheat and/or gluten. I've recently discovered that I have a gluten/wheat intolerance. I ordered carefully and asked about the pulled pork tacos served on corn tortillas. The waiter said they were gluten free. When the order came, it looked like flour tortillas. I again asked and was assured they were gluten free. They were not gluten free! I emailed the manager asking again about the ingredients and wondering if soy sauce was used in the pulled pork, but there has been no response. If you are gluten free, I caution you about eating at this restaurant unless you are just having a drink. read more

Murrayhill Taphouse just opened in the Murrayhill area of Beaverton (corner of Scholls Ferry Rd and Murray Blvd) Eddie, the GM has brought the restaurant which is located by the lake, to life. Trent at the bar makes amazing drinks, Mitch and Riley provided us amazing friendly and professional service, and the kitchen turns out delicious appetizers and meals. Sitting outside, Between the trees and the lake, creates an ambiance, that is fun. We walked there, and I believe many of the guests did the same. It's an easy walk from Murrayhill and Progress Ridge area. There is plenty of seating inside including comfy chairs on either end of the restaurant by the fire places. We have been waiting for a restaurant to open up there and with covid, most of us are staying close to home on the west side, and this offers us a much needed place to go when we want a safe fun energetic atmosphere and great service. They carry nice wines, signature cocktails, and an extensive beer on tap list. Eddie has delivered an exceptional experience with his team. Great leadership attracts great staff who provide great service. Easily the worst place I have ever been. The beer selection is great. Impossible to mess up beer. Walking into the restaurant the decor looks like a poor man's olive garden. Now let's get into the food, we started with wings and nachos. First and foremost when you serve wings you should never serve leg quarters. But the wings came out completely cold and the flavor profile tasted like someone washed in tap water and threw it in a fryer. No flavor and cold. The nachos were just as bad, if not worse. Nachos are simple, almost impossible to mess up, yet they found a way. The cheese was not melted and the ground beef tasted like taco bell. We literally had to go to McDonald's to wash the awful taste from our mouths. I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

This is the second time I visited this place. The food is great. What I didn't like was the customer service. Both times I waited 10-15 min, then another 5-7 min before I get my coke. I don't drink but I am there to eat. Anyways the food came 10 min later. Both times I didn't get any server to ask me how the food was but all the people around me did. Friendly and professional staff. Gets busy at times though! While mobility access inside is good, including a ramp for multilevel access, handicap parking is minimal but that is state-regulated not anything the restaurant can control. My friend and I met for lunch a few days ago and waited for over 10 minutes after being seated for water. And that was only because I grabbed the attention of another server. He was very nice and apologized and asked if we had seen our server yet. He didn't seem surprised by our answer. He got us water and took our drink orders. When our server arrived she did not apologize for the wait. Our food arrived as ordered and I would say it was just average. The gluten free bun was good but for the price I think I'd rather go to Red Robin. From the second we approched the well set and lovely exterior, clean and tighty. we were invited by every member of the staff. Mandy the manager took our reservations early and promptly showed us to our table, I just felt like I was home! food/drinks and fabulous service. A food runner brought our food out and auctioned it off to the table and that's typical but I'm certain our fabulous server would have put our order in per seat. otherwise a perfect score! can't wait to go back, cant wait for the new location to open in Lake Oswego! great location on the Lake! We finally had a chance to make a reservation and go to the tap house. The owners were very sweet, came to our table and introduced themselves. 1st time here since they opened. Came for happy hour with my wife, and the only disappointment was they don't offer happy hour outside! Only inside in the bar. Food was great, service was great but based on the location, I would suggest offering happy hour pricing in the patio, especially going into spring. I recommend the coconut mango prawns. I'm leaving 4 stars, but I feel like it's really worth 3.5. First off I know they just opened and I'm leaving a review hoping that management reads this because I know it takes time to work out the kinks. First the good. The drinks were delicious. We tried 3 different cocktails off the menu, and all were tasty. I ordered the vegetarian nachos and they were also very good, I love that it's cheese sauce and not shredded cheese. My friends thought the burger and grilled cheese were very good. Sidewinder fries are tasty too. The bad: That is not a margarita pizza. That is a cheese pizza with arugula on top. Margarita pizzas are fresh mozzerella, tomatoes and basil. This was literally a cheese pizza with arugula thrown on top. Not good. Also the bruschetta was a major disappointment. The toppings were delicious but the bread was stale and burnt. For a restaurant that has a whole section of their menu devoted to bruschetta, how can the bread be that bad. It was almost inedible. The donuts on the menu were unremarkable and wouldn't order again. We'll give it a couple months and try again hoping they will improve some things! read more

Over the years we've seen at least 4 different restaurants at this location and I hope this one endures for the next time we visit or old neighborhood. They have done a great job adapting the location to make it more friendly and inviting and stock a decent selection of locally brewed adult beverages. Had a reservation for Saturday 2/12 at 5:30 pm. We had requested a table by the fireplace. When we arrived the young lady up front was extremely unprofessional and rude. She did not acknowledge the request that was made on the online reservation and proceeded to seat us all the way at the back of the restaurant in a tiny table for 2. We asked to be moved to a larger table for 4 but she refused saying those were reserved already. Well, we also had a reservation, did we not ? There were other tables for 4 people empty and those were filled later by parties of 2 people. We were poorly treated and lied to, so we got up and left. read more

I asked if we could sit in the bar and he smirked as he replied that it's open seating. Excuse me for being there for the first time. Sat by the window, lots if space between tables and they have a great patio that overlooks a nice manmade pond. Got the Caesar salad, what came out was a bed of iceberg lettuce and a slab of chicken that had obviously been cooked previously and heated up in the microwave. No croutons or parmesan. We had to flag down the server to request dressing, which barely had any flavor. Also got the ribs which were lukewarm and flavorless, other than the sauce on top. Served with onion rings, there were 5 little ones that were cold and kind of rubbery. Despite having lots of staff for every customer need, it took forever to get the check and then forever for someone to take our card for payment. He made a joke about "see you tomorrow". Came here to grab drinks and some food. The interior is nice and the patio looks great for summer time. They do flights of beer up to 4 different ones. Their codes to get access to menu is located only on one corner of the table. It makes it a little awkward for groups. This place has nice drinks and good customer service. I have been wanting a place like this in the area for a long time. My boyfriend is very picky. Lol. Because he's been working in restaurants for many years. We ordered the bruschetta: portabello with blue cheese and honey, salami with pesto, and the smoked salmon. They were all very good. I think there was too much blue cheese. The mushrooms were delicious. The salami one we had no complaints. The smoked salmon itself was so good. We felt that the pesto was too much. All the other ingredients were very good. The pesto covered the taste of the salmon. And it was good quality, so should probably let it be the star. He had the Cesar salad, and he liked it a lot. The anchovy filets were a great touch. I had the southwest salad, and it was perfect. Dressed very well. I loved the chilies and the corn. The food was definitely good. The service was amazing. Our waiter said it was his first day, but he was more than friendly and professional. We enjoyed this place and will likely be back. Hoping for some happy hour and maybe weekend brunch? The menu items all sound great, and generally look good. Biggest issue for our order was that everything was dry. The honey chicken sandwich was literally the chicken on a dry bun with typical toppings. The bun was toasted, but other than that it was just a dry $16 chicken sandwich. The same held true for the burgers, we had to ask for ketchup / mustard, and they don't even have pickles for the burger--travesty, I know. One person is gluten free / dairy free, and they ordered the meatless burger just to try it out. The gf bun literally crumbled and was so dry, these buns aren't known to be the best, but whatever brand is being used should be revisited for sure. Fried zucchini sticks were honestly the highlight, other than the watered down ranch. Is that just how Sysco does ranch? Some places have this version of ranch and it's impossible for dipping. Drink options were good, beer selection was good, cider not so much. In all, $100 weekday out for 3 people, and not impressed really at all. The atmosphere made it a little easier to swallow and enjoy, but we decided we are gonna wait for a return trip. Maybe a better option for appetizers and a drink, versus a full meal, until they get things down a little better. Staff were all super nice! Very busy, but managed all the tables well. read more

Went here on a wim and no regrets. We ordered the bruschetta trio (salmon, the classic tomato and basil and pear) all were really good. The corn ribs were a little difficult to eat and lacked some flavor and heat. Maybe more tajin? My sister had a salad with steak and the steal was so good! The pub board with the pretzel was also really delish! This is my new favorite place to go. It has such a beautiful view of the lake, the amazing food and great service made me change my bday plans and we made a reservation to come here instead for my birthday! Its smells good, the one bar tender i interacted with was friendly enough but the young blond Hostess was about as laxidasical and could give a crap less. Told it would be a 40 minute wait but there was "open seating in the bar" but when asked if there was two seats in the bar she said I don't know it's over there. When we asked if we could sit outside she told us it was closed and then the people behind us we're seated outside so I can't comment on the food because we left. Was excited to see this place open. The service was great, food was awesome, only 4 stars because they were serving the soup right after we received our appetizer and the entree right after the soup. We sent the entrees back because we wanted to enjoy each course. Spoke to the GM about feeling rushed. We had the Jalapeños poppers, pretty good, the beer soup was one of the best I had ever.
