One run to a storage unit and a separate move to handle the big move. For both moves, the team showed up on time, handled our belongings with care & professionalism, and were efficient with their time. I was impressed with how well organized the team was & how they went above & beyond to organize my storage unit (vs just putting stuff in there all willy-nilly, making the most of the small space). Rates were extremely reasonable & we will hire them again. Prices include a 26' box truck and plastic wrapping used for the move was provided for a minimal fee (comparable prices had I purchased it myself directly from Home Depot). The only improvement I would recommend is a call the day before to confirm the move or an email confirmation after setting the appointment. Don't misunderstand - the moving team showed up on the agreed upon date at the agreed upon time. With everything we had going on, plus everyone reacting to state-wide shutdowns due to covid-19, a confirmation would've given me a peace of mind for one thing on my very long to-do list & to confirm I didn't screw up on my end. Of everything we moved between both moves, only 1 large terra cotta pot was split. Everything else was moved safely & without breakage. Cassidy cheerfully accepted the challenge! I explained that I was very particular about cleanliness and she said she'd do what I needed. The move was anything but straight-forward with dates bouncing around. I did have advance notice, but she was also flexible when situations changed. She and her crew showed up on time and ready to go. They worked the whole day getting my kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and even jewelry organized. EVERY dish was washed and dried. ....and they seemed to ENJOY it! They were very warm and friendly! Most moving services would not offer this level of assistance! I'm so grateful they could do for me what is extremely difficult to do myself!

This would be a one star review if the owner didn't call me back a 2nd time…read more Booked a small job (5 items) and, of course, they have a minimum: 3hrs + truck rental = $309. Was suggested to me by the rep I first contacted that they could take unwanted items to Goodwill (or charity of my choice) with the "extra time" that wouldn't be used on such a small job. When I booked the job (with the owner!) he reiterated that option also. I also told them that I would have a big job coming up in the near future - thinking they'd be on their best behavior. The truck driver/mover showed up and immediately said he had time constraints (more jobs) and it was up to his discretion if he took any items to Goodwill. When he got some "push back" he said he called the office and got no answer. So: two lies. There were no other jobs that day for him. Also: he *did* call the office and got into an argument with the owners wife. I asked for the owner to call me to discuss. My interaction with Kevin was not what I expected. At one point I even said "do you care at all about what I'm saying or just waiting for me to finish so you can get off the phone?!?" No apology, no interest in what I was saying... The owner called me back after some time - seems he got the opportunity to speak to his wife and to talk one-on-one with the mover. His attitude had changed quite a bit. The fact that he didn't initially believe me and blew me off is really frustrating. What is ultimately most important is that he's not going to replace this employee with someone who cares (and is honest). I'm sure no one is surprised that the next job is going to another business. Also: I'm out of state. The other people involved are all local. They will be using word of mouth to let everyone they know about their experience with "Help U Move".
