WARNING Don't book‼ This company is all around unprofessional and should not be in business. When you look at their website they state the men are drug tested, trained, and back ground checked. So I was shocked when they told me nonchalantly they stay strapped and they don't do this job sober. This was half way through the move making me extremely uncomfortable. Every single part of this move was a disaster. They're robbing people, and destroying peoples personal items. I booked this company to move my 1 bedroom apartment into a truck I purchased, because I am moving states. I had a 16 foot truck meant for a 2 to 3 bed and they had me on the spot go get a 22 foot truck that's meant for a 3 to 5 room move. So already an extra $2000 because they were trying to get out of the job they were hired to do. As we got the truck figured out, they wrapped everything with 1700 layers of saran wrap as if that was going to protect my stuff. They got everything out of the apartment within 45 minutes and at that point it was 11am. They had two things to take out and I thought it would take no more than 5 minutes for them to finish. They were there until 1pm RUNNING the clock, as they get paid for the longer they take. One of those two things was my coffee table. Somehow made it into the truck, and then was dropped out of the truck. Absolutely destroyed my coffee table. At around 12:00 I had to leave to do other things so my boyfriend stayed behind. As I left I observed two guys just sitting on their phone outside while the other one was sitting in our apartment. Everything came to an absolute stop. Again they were pretty much done, just running up the clock. I have a one bedroom and it took three of their guys 6 hours to load a truck! If that says anything. They stacked everything absolutely stupid. Please see photos. Boxes that were in perfect condition, mangled. Only using 14 feet of the 22 foot truck they made me go get. So there was 8 full feet of empty space in the truck. That truck was an additional unnecessary $2000. Then as they were leaving they let us know we should probably get straps for this F- job they did. THEN I was double charged. I've had to call daily for three weeks now. Haven't gotten far. Please don't book this company it's been an absolute nightmare and would have never booked had I known. I live 10 minutes away from the warehouse and was charged $100 for fuel, $215 for transportation. Even though they didn't put my stuff into their own truck. TONS of hidden fees they don't discuss when booking. Company is false advertising and is a scam. Every single piece of my brand new furniture I got 6 months ago is either completely destroyed or extremely scuffed up. They advertise they take apart your furniture. They straight up ripped fixed bolts out of my furniture pieces. Do not give this company your business. No protection when stacking things stupidly. They had more than enough room to lay everything flat. They didn't even bother taking apart my dining room table that has two legs and can be done in two seconds. Again every single piece of furniture is ruined. Don't book. Might I add, I pulled my tv out of the $50 box I asked them not to put in, to the frame of it cracked and a huge d*ck drawn on my tv. The disrespect. One of them was fired to my knowledge, but at the end of the day it was all 3 of them and so for the job to be done so horribly they have to let someone go, and every manager I've spoken to says they didn't do the job properly, yet still won't do anything but offer me $87 for over $5000 in damages. Joke of a company. Don't book. And to be clear this isn't due to things shifting when driving. These damages happened before we even shut to door to the truck. read more

A mattress that arrived wet (which we showed to the driver, who offered no assistance) 3. Missing items such as our coffee maker, office chair, Instant Pot, Blendtec blender, various kitchen items, a console table, and an entrance end table Beyond the damage and missing items, there were delays in our move. We are still unpacking and continue to discover more losses and damage. We hired Muscular Moving Men expecting a professional and trustworthy service, but instead, we have been left dealing with significant losses, stress, and inconvenience. Horrible service. They arrived to our home to move us across the country with a semi that was 2/3rds full. They packed what they could and then through hours of "negotiating" they made a "plan" to get the remaining contents picked up. We were closing on our home and had set the move up 6 weeks prior. They moved the remainder of the load into a box truck, no strapping and had it sit on the road for 5 days. After almost a week we received the remainder of the load and there was a LOT of damaged and items missing. If that was not enough, when they were unloading into our brand new home one of the movers got grease on his shoe from the truck and tracked into all of the carpeted bedrooms in the house causing extensive damage. We placed a claim for all of the damaged items and for the damaged carpet and they are giving us $80-$100 to cover the damage. $45 for all of the broken furniture and $35-$55 (they have not decided how much they will give us and said that was out of the goodness of their hearts) for the damaged carpet. All of this was proven through pictures and the driver saw all of the damage that was done to the carpets and said "put a claim in". The insurance company that they use said there is no coverage for damaged property from the movers. Not sure what that insurance was for then. Stay away from them. They are not cheap either, we paid $12,741 for this move. That is just a portion of the story, it went on from there as well, as they wanted a wire transfer on a sunday (not possible) because the deliver date was pushed all over the place due to their inefficiency, so it ended up on a sunday. After the fiasco we had already been through I was not going to pay the remaining balance before the rest of the load was delivered..... More could be said but I don't want to bore you. read more

The staff was friendly, responsive, and helpful, from making my first phone call to the final move-in day. They are super organized, probably one of the most organized companies I've used. You spend time on the phone with them at the beginning and describe the belongings that you'll be moving, then you get a written document of all of what you just went through with them. I'll admit that I was a little surprised to find out that they wanted all of the money by the day of the move-out, but it seems like that's because I was moving out of state. The folks that came to our old house were polite and careful with our stuff. They wrapped everything and were great about answering questions when we had them. They even contacted us when they left their warehouse so that we'd know they were on the way and what their ETA was. The folks that came for the move-in were also polite and great at direction - the bulk of our items came up to our condo but we had some stuff that they held aside to take to the storage unit in the garage. Because there was only one of me, they were good about putting it aside to wait for everything else to be brought up before we took things into the garage storage area. I moved with two electric motorcycles and was VERY fortunate that they had someone experienced with motorcycles to help me get them into the garage. I am *not* comfortable on them and just wasn't comfortable driving it down the ramps into the garage, fortunately their guy helped me and made it happen, right down to putting it in the parking spot just like I had imagined it (all that with a language barrier - which was impressive). The ONLY reason why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because the number of times my boxes had to be moved before they got to my house. The boxes were in prime shape when they got here. (explanation - because we're a long-distance move and the 18-wheeler wasn't able to make it to either home, our items were put into a smaller truck then that smaller truck emptied into the larger truck at their warehouse. THEN once it got to California, the stuff was moved again from the big truck to another smaller truck) All of my moving boxes were new U-haul boxes and many showed up in shape that made my heart skip a beat when I started to organize and unpack. I'm about two weeks out and have opened probably 90% of the boxes and so far everything is fine. I still don't think I'll move again knowing that my items have to be handled four times to get to my new house. As careful as they were, it's just too easy for something to get lost or dropped or a box to get torn and something to fall out. Again, this is THE ONLY reason why they got 4 stars instead of 5. I signed up to use Muscular moving men because my wife had used them before on a handful of different moves. We recently married and we're moving two households into one. The communication was generally OK although I had to hound them (Chris Pieker) a few times to get responses but that's probably typical. The folks that picked up and moved my stuff we're very friendly and professional. They did break one of my statues which was disappointing and they also did some slight wall damage in our new home which they fixed. Additional damage included a broken boxspring and they never connected the headboard to the bed. When I made my claim regarding these items they offered a whopping $30. I was gravely disappointed in this response and figured that they needed it more than I did so I did not claim the $30. The move was fine but just know if they break it, it goes by weight of what was broken which is stupid in my opinion and that is why yielded a mere $30z Such is life. I would recommend them for the move experience, but left with a bit of a bad taste in my mouth with their claims resolution or lack there of! I had an absolutely terrible experience with Muscular Moving Men, and I cannot stress enough how much you should avoid them. This company was referred to me by my realtor, which made me feel confident in choosing them--but that confidence was completely misplaced. Justin Hodge, the owner and co-founder, personally set up my contract and repeatedly assured me that they were not a broker. However, after things went wrong, I discovered via an email from David Orloff (who was later assigned to my case) that they had, in fact, used a broker to "make my dates work." Why wasn't I told upfront that my dates were unworkable? This kind of dishonesty is unacceptable. The issues didn't stop there. The truck they sent had a gash in the roof, which caused water damage to many of my belongings during my cross-country move from Arizona to North Carolina. My Mac computer and antique china cabinet were destroyed, along with countless other items. Totes were broken, hardware was missing, and several items simply never arrived. Additionally, the movers showed up without the proper equipment or supplies to safely pack my breakables, which directly contributed to many of the damages. For a company charging nearly $24,000, it is beyond unprofessional not to bring the necessary materials to ensure the safety of my belongings. To make matters worse, my delivery was two days late, and the person in charge of my move was completely absent during unloading. Justin, who initially assured me this would be a seamless process, has since gone silent and handed me off to David, who has done little to resolve the situation. For nearly $24,000--what you'd pay for a new small car--I expected professionalism, transparency, and care for my belongings. What I got instead was incompetence, dishonesty, and a complete lack of accountability. I feel especially betrayed because this company came recommended by my realtor. Avoid Muscular Moving Men at all costs. Their shady practices and disregard for customers will leave you stressed, frustrated, and out thousands of dollars. I was told I would have a settlement for my claim on Friday December 13th 2024 and did not hear from anyone. So this this is my review, we shall see if they make it right. The crew was timely, polite and professional and made the entire process smooth. My king size headboard is cracked because one mover decided to carry it in himself, dragging it on the ground. If I could give them -5 stars, I would. This was by far the worst moving experience of my life. We were quoted $6,500 to move from Los Angeles to Texas, but we ended up paying $8,500. 1. Bait-and-switch scheduling - They charged us extra to move our pickup date up, then ended up showing up on the original date anyway. Late and dishonest. 2. They outsourced our move to a third party - It wasn't even Muscular Moving Men's employees. Strangers showed up in their truck, and that's where the nightmare began. 3. Theft & damage - One mover was caught on video stealing $3,000 worth of personal property and walking out to his car. Another mover with tattoos was caught trying to break into our safe and also destroyed our $2,500 water machine. On top of that, we had safes stolen, a brand-new Apple tablet worth $3,000 taken, my lamp arrived half-missing, and my husband's $20,000 prototype was completely destroyed. They admitted wrongdoing in writing, promised we'd get our belongings back, but we never did. 4. Catastrophic losses - Beyond the theft, when our items finally arrived in Texas, half were broken or missing entirely. The total value of stolen and damaged goods was over $25,000. 5. Dodging accountability - When we reported the thefts and losses, Muscular Moving Men tried to place the blame on the 3rd-party movers they themselves hired. But we hired them and paid them -- not some mystery subcontractor. They took our money, outsourced the job, and then denied responsibility when everything went wrong. 6. Shady payment practices - Three days before delivery, while our stuff was still delayed, they demanded full payment. We refused until the truck arrived. When it finally did, three days late, it was full of broken and missing items. 7. Customer service is a joke - Every time we tried to resolve this, they played dumb. We have emails of them admitting wrongdoing, then later pretending they had no idea what we were talking about. This company is dishonest, shady, and dangerous to trust with your belongings. Well let's see. Talk about under deliver. We completed a cross country move from Florida to Chicago area. They showed up 2 days after their "window" for delivery but we were understanding as there was a winter storm in the Midwest. No problem. Then towards the end of the unloading, we noticed a 60" flatscreen TV was missing. Come to find they did a load transfer before our delivery and the one, literally the one item that "mistakenly" was put on a different truck was that tv. So they find the tv. Ok great. Then I have to wait another 10 days for them to drop it off. The TV is finally dropped off and it's absolutely beat to crap. Busted screen. Bent corner. Glass screen literally shattered like someone took a bat to it. So we file a bs claim already knowing the embarrassment coming next. Takes them weeks to investigate even though we sent pictures. I'm sure they had their little mover detectives on the case. Then they offer us a ridiculous $36 dollars to replace a once 1k tv. So not only did they trash my tv now I have to drive, pay and find a recycling center that will take it. Oh and they also smashed a desk of ours which I didn't even bother with. Just took it as a loss. No call. No apology. Nothing. Don't waste your time call someone else. And they were not cheap. read more

We were referred to Muscular Moving Men and Storage by a local mover here in Vegas that I trusted. I found the sales staff at MMM&S helpful and seemed to understand our need to move quickly. In general, the staff is very courteous and professional and they have a strong desire to be helpful. The only thing keeping me from a five star review was due to a minor paperwork mishap at pickup (always makes sure you keep your own log), delivery date changes (this was the most frustrating), and initial communication issues. The local crew they hired in Vegas was not my favorite, however Marcus and Angel (MMM&S employees) were professional. I found that Sheila in Customer Service was very helpful in navigating some of issues. I do give excellent Kudos to our driver Jax, who not only delivered earlier than quoted, but he and his helper moved everything in quickly and efficiently. We didnt lose anything and nothing was broken - which is the first time in four other cross country moves with the 'bigger' brands. Moving during the summer from Vegas to Florida is never ideal, but for the cost, it came in about the same if not less than doing it ourselves with a rental truck. read more

Disaster experience with these guys on our local move this weekend. Before I get into the issues I do want to point out that the guys who moved our stuff were fantastic. They worked their tails off and were very friendly. So why 1 star? When we called to set our move up the salesman insisted on giving a quote without physically seeing the house. We were moving from a 4100 sq ft house and we're quoted a price that felt "too good to be true." Yup, your parents were right! On our moving day the guys showed up in two trucks. There were THREE GUYS to move our entire house. They worked non-stop for 9 hours loading these trucks up. After finally finishing the load we drove to the new house. Here's where the story gets good.... Insert Paul, the "supervisor" who lets me know that because it's getting late they want to reschedule the drop off! It's 7:15p on a Saturday night and he wants to hold onto our stuff till Monday. I told him absolutely not, I need my stuff. I'm moving, not ordering a new appliance. SMH He then tells me he's going to have to send additional help (mind you the crew requested this help at 3pm at the first house). I said fine, just get it done. He says, ok I'll send the updated price to my guy and he'll need you to sign off before anything is unloaded. He even has the nerve to make it sound like this is somehow my fault for taking so long. I'll let you guess what happens next.....YUP, my quote jumps in price to nearly double the original quote. Shocker! Finally we got everything unloaded into our house at 10pm. What a day, and I will NEVER use this company again. I felt terrible for the guys doing the work and fed, hydrated, and tipped them very well. Those poor guys deserved much better. Oh yeah, best part is I talked to the main guy the next day and he told me after they left us that he had to help at another move that went even later than ours. Used them twice and everything was great until I noticed they cracked my 75" TV. Apparently they did not box the tv as promised by the salesman Chris. They wrapped it in blankets then strapped it to the inside of the truck too tight. Their solution is to pay me $45. This was negligence on their part. I told Chris I was unable to get a large enough box in my car to box the tv but he assured me they would have one on the truck and it would be boxed. What a joke! Beware! read more

I used these guys for my move yesterday. I previously left a 5 star review due to the fact that they sort of strong-arm you into that by telling you they'll give you money off if you give a 5 star review and then they stand there while you give that review. It wasnt the worst experience, but wasnt the best it could have been. The 2 men showed up but i was told Id have 3 and 1 truck. They really hustled and did a fantastic job getting me out of the house I sold, but then when it came to unloading at my new house it was very slowly done. (Paying by the hour) They did try and force my treadmill through a doorway too many time before calling it and saying it wont fit, but only after they damaged the door and doorframe. They promised 3 free garment boxes but they showed up with not all the pieces to the boxes. There were no rods for hanging across so I had to throw my clothing just all down in the box. It cost a lot of money, I feel, for what I received in services. I wish I had checked around much more before hiring them. Absolute worst experience I've ever had with any business I've dealt with. I moved from Phoenix, AZ to Jacksonville, NC and was expecting this company to perform as they advertised. Cedric Cullin and Carlos Andaya were the sales rep and cross country reps I dealt with and neither was responsive to my concerns or helpful in any way. The packing and load up seemed to be normal and they arrived on time. The issues began once I scheduled the delivery of items to NC (scheduled the shipment on 22-Jun) I was provided a delivery window of 28-Jun to 3-Jul. On 2-Jul I was yet to hear anything from corporate or the driver regarding a time for the 3-Jul delivery (I was supposed to receive a call 24-48 hrs prior to arrival). I contacted the driver directly and he informs me that he will not be there until 8/9-Jul, I call the Phoenix office to speak with Carlos Andaya (Interstate moving rep) and was told the truck broke down. I should have been informed of the delay. The truck was then scheduled for 8-Jul, this did not happen either. The truck broke down again 155 miles from the delivery point, and the delivery is now 9-Jul. I received my items 9-Jul, only to note multiple items damaged and one item wasn't even delivered. The re-assembly of the furniture that they dis-assembled was a joke. Computer desk has bolts missing, bed frames/headboards were left loose (noted this after they left, and I went to move them in position). This company provides nothing but empty promises and absolutely horrible customer service. They advertise they label boxes and will not open the vaults once they are loaded, until they reach their final destination, this was not true. being a week late and then showing up with multiple damaged items and not assembling the items they took apart is unacceptable especially for the cost. Unfortunately I have more damage than what is posted in addition to a Stihl cut-off saw that wasn't even delivered. I do not recommend these people to anyone. They do not respond when called and messages are left, once they have your money they are done, and just don't care. I expected better for a service that was over 13K. read more

When I asked what happens when a customer informs them that they received moving boxes and belongings that are not theirs (I.e. when Muscular Moving delivers someone else's items), I was told "I think they just throw them away." This is a company that doesn't even try to retrieve your belongings when they negligently deliver them to another customer. Multiple reviews since my review make it clear they they've done nothing to fix their negligent business practices and they continue not to utilize their inventory system that they promise to their customers. The guys that came and picked everything up were efficient and took great care with our furniture. James, Mel and Juan delivered it to my new home. They were super professional and nice too.
