I previously had a chemical perm from another stylist, but wanted to have my natural straight hair since I had my wedding coming up. I booked an appointment with Jennifer in June and requested for my favorite two block haircut with some layers. You start off the service with getting your hair washed and then head over to the chair where Jennifer does her assessment of the next steps. Jennifer was really sweet and personable during the haircut and she also gave honest feedback on what worked for my face. The end result exceeded my expectations since the layers were done so well. Also a big bonus of this salon is the value for the services. A lot of salons and barbershops nowadays charge exorbitant prices that it's difficult to find somewhere affordable and high quality. Hyun hair had great prices that were very fair compared to other places. I loved my experience so much that I had Jennifer also do some layers for my wife. They always make sure to ask how much they can cut BEFORE they cut it, which I'm super grateful for. Robyn cut my hair and he was awesome. He was able to fix the short and choppy layers my sister gave me without cutting too much of the length off :) the layers turned out beautiful and I have no doubt that they'll grow out just as nicely. he styled it straight and sleek in the store, but just wanted to show how nice it looks curled as well!

The owners, Allen and Rita, are super friendly, fast, professional, and good at what they do. They made both my friend and I comfortable, and somehow got us both finished in a little more than 2 hours. I got a very much needed haircut and highlights, while she got a trim and perm. They're well versed in Taiwanese/Asian styles and we very much appreciated how they recommend us styles that suit our personalities and personal style. Since I have thicker hair, my total was $225 and $265 post tip. The salon itself is very clean, bright, and comfortable. It's minimally decorated and has everything needed for your hair styling needs. The parking is a bit fierce as it shares a space in a popular plaza, but as long as you make an appointment at a less popular time you should be good to go!
