In a section of the store with both purchasable and personal items from store staff. Felt like being at home as a kid

Went here with friends and family during Astoria's small business crawl and we stayed here for so long. It's a store you can probably find something for the nerd loved one in your life, and transform someone you love into a nerd because of the amazing items in this store. Immersive and packed with toys so everywhere you turn or behind something is another toy/gift that will bring you or someone you know joy! The staff are friendly and welcoming and may be fixing toys while you are browsing. There is also a space where you can play with some toys, like the game operation, and they make clear what's for purchase and to touch, and what's personal items on display. Amazing store, will 1000% be back!

Such an interesting concept for a store. Part vintage toy museum, part toy thrift store. Its jam packed with toys from the 70s and beyond. They have a mix of toys that are still in their original packaging and some that aren't but are in good condition. It's a fun store to peruse and reminisce about your childhood. As I was looking around, I heard lots of people saying things like "I had this toy growing up, or "I remember this" or "I forgot about this". You can't help but smile as you walk around; it's like walking down memory lane. The items that are sold and displayed here run the gamut (collectibles, action figures, board games, etc.) and there's even a couple of video games on display. And the owners were so friendly. They seemed very knowledgeable about toys (vintage and otherwise) and enjoyed talking to people about it. They buy, sell and trade toys so their inventory keeps changing. And they provide rentals for photography, film, and TV. Highly recommend checking them out and supporting them.

Holy Eighties Toy Collection Batman! This place is bonkers with tons of nostalgic toys from mostly the eighties but also includes nineties etc. My friend in the area recommended I check it out. I absolutely loveeeee this place from the minute I walked in. I am a huge fan of eighties toys, especially Strawberry Shortcake, Popples, Pee Wee, Rainbow Brite, Care Bears and old school Bettlejuice cartoon! This place had it all. And even toys I've never seen before. I especially loved their set up for their own collection that appeared to be a living room. The magic that this place holds is hard to put into words. It was a time capsule that I am thrilled to know exists. I think the prices are also reasonable. I found a Pee Wee doll that the voicebox is wonky but still so adorable. I had to have it. It came home with me for $30. I hope they do some eighties inspired events here or movie nights. Can't wait to bring more people and spread the word. The staff/owners and forever kids at hearts were absolutely a joy to talk to.

If you're in the area you need to stop by the Museum of Nostalgia! The museum part is so ...nostalgic lol. Really cool to see some of the stuff. There's also a store part where you can get some really cool stuff. Bought a couple Godzilla things for my dad. Will be back to get some more. But any 90s toys, memorabilia, etc you can think of is probably here. The staff are sooo nice. And the prices aren't crazy. Also you can play pac-man in the back :)

This is a cool spot. It has a bunch of old time-y games and trinkets. You can go in and sell some of your stuff to them as well! I can tell that people come in here to buy different collectible items. It's a very interesting spot. The workers are very chatty!

A great unique place to check out. Fun to browse and see things you didn't expect. They have new items often, with things being rotated in and out. Things are grouped pretty well. It's extremely dense, but well kept. I hope they continue that--not toooo dense, and tidy.

I have been going here for many years as a buyer and I think today was my last day for a while…read more Unfortunately, I encountered one volunteer who literally drove me out of the store.. she was so nasty and had a loftier-than-thou attitude. She kept lecturing me about them needing more time as the store just opened. Then she lectured me some more. I couldn't wait to run out. A shame since the other lady was kind and helpful. This woman had brown hair and ponytail and she shouldn't be working with people or customers. I returned a trap to pick up my $100 deposit and was considering donating it to the shop, but since she pissed me off I just ran right out instead. Most of the volunteers are lovely. And the shop is adorable with lots of cute things. I would just watch out for this particular person unless you want to be bossed around the shop. She has a lot of nerve. Also retuned a trap and she made it seem like I broke it when I NEVER EVEN USED THE DAMN THING. She wrote broken on the trap - so I made them write "customer never used". She needs help in people skills and I hope she gets them. I wanted to check at home if I already had a certain collectible, but I wouldn't dare go back and buy it when she is present. Hopefully I'll go another day and see some of the other lovely volunteers in the store.
