My son has done so well here. His violin teacher, Mariana, is patient and kind and he has progressed beautifully.

However, if you need to make a change to your billing information associated with lessons or music rentals, it cannot be done online, only over the phone. When you call, expect at least a 30-minute wait for "customer service". I finally called the store, and they were able to correct my billing information for lessons but not the rental. Then I had to spend another 30 minutes trying to get the instrument rental billing fixed. I finally just paid off the instrument balance so I wouldn't have to deal with them again. Finally, the way lessons are handled is a complete scam. Prior to the acquisition, if you needed to cancel a lesson in advance, you were not charged. Now you are charged regardless of when you cancel. You can "make up" the lessons, but this is nearly impossible during the summer when multiple weeks of lessons are being missed. The teacher doesn't have the flexibility to do that many make-ups. In short, it is a total scam. We will be looking for a new lesson location.

This tactic has worked great and we have fun in the process. Admittedly, this has turned into a very expensive undertaking. My husband found Righteous Guitars on YouTube back in 2019. They featured a Mario Martin electric that he just HAD to have! Ever since, I've been dying to get him to the store in person. It seemed that every time we were passing near Roswell, it was the wrong day or time. Yesterday we finally made it! The store has a private, intimate feeling since the front doors are locked. The interior is breathtakingly beautiful and slightly visually overwhelming. I adore the artistic design and look of guitars and basses. This was a feast for the eyes and ears. Top notch service which was attentive and personalized. I lounged in the comfortable gliding chairs while my spouse spent a few hours trying various instruments. He fell in love with a Fender p bass but ultimately opted to wait. I have a feeling he'll be on the phone in a day or two placing an order. We will definitely be returning to Righteous Guitars and keeping an eye on their inventory. If you're a musician or guitar player, this place is a must-visit!

The instrument was ok.. not nearly as nice as other places we've rented from. We should have switched sooner.. My daughter found other stores that had nicer instruments after we turned our rental in. I feel that other stores have much more selection and good service with a better upgrade program than she offers. We made the decision to purchase an instrument. Other stores we've rented from ( we have another child that plays violin as well) the full rental amount went towards purchasing the instrument with no minimum purchase amount. Their policy is you must purchase an instrument $1,000 or more. They have a very limited amount of instruments under 2k.. The choices were Chinese instruments that felt cheap and played poorly. We have shopped about 5 other stores in the area so I'm confident in saying for the under 2k price range there are much nicer instruments available than what they have. We've been looking all summer and have tried a lot of significantly nicer instruments almost everyplace under 2k. We were made to feel like our budget was only sufficient for a low end instrument by Emily. She showed us bows starting at $350-$1,000.. for a student..!! We brought in our other child's instrument and were told it was a violin that was worth $300 (which is significantly less than what it's truly worth and what we paid) our other "student violin" Sounded and plays significantly better than her instruments priced at 3k and up. It's a lovely store but best suited for people with high budgets! She's a bit snooty and they are very, very expensive. You can find much better quality instruments at other shops.

What makes it even more incredible is that she's coaching me at a time in my life when I am not at my best -- due to a serious illness that left me with long-term complications affecting my voice. I worked with other coaches when I was at my physical peak... and yet Tricia far surpasses them in every way. She just has that special je ne sais quoi. She's incredibly smart, intuitive, and dedicated -- and you can see all of that in her book, which is one of the most useful vocal guides I've ever read, no matter where you are in your vocal journey. Her Sing Like a Star method is scientific, empowering, and meets you exactly where you are. She helps you build from the inside out -- breath, tone, emotion, everything. I'm hitting notes I never thought I'd reach again. If you're on the fence, take the leap. Tricia is rare. She's the real deal.

I asked around inside my peer circle in the Grammy chapter and ironically no one could recommend a vocal coach. I was fortunate enough to find Tricia and SLaS through an internet search and was pleased that SLaS could work with me via Zoom since I'm thousands of miles away from Atlanta. It's easy to under appreciate (or not understand) how much a course and coach can help us gain control over vocal muscles, larynx position, breathing, and breath support so that we improve our craft and more fully develop our personal singing style. Just like any fine performing artist or serious athletic endeavor, improvement in ability to sing isn't magic. It requires training (WITH EXERCISES), coaching, guidance, and feedback. SLaS and Tricia does all of these things via a very well thought out course that is designed to work on the common issues male and female vocalists arrive with at their doors (or in my case Zoom camera). I've gone from being/believing I'm a baritone only singer always wishing I had a wider ranger to be more versatile to HAVING a much wider range AND at the same time a far more POWERFUL and stable singing voice. I hardly recognize my new voice!...but I am sure loving it and can't wait to see what the next months hold as Tricia continues to guide and coach me to new places. When I think of vocalists I've worked with in the studio environment, almost all of them could have used the help SLAS provides; including one who came to the studio with her personal vocal coach!! Kudos to everyone who worked to put the SLAS training together and to Tricia who is helping those willing to work and put in the time to be much better vocalists and performers then they were before signing on with SLaS.

I learned of their services, available agreement options, and a trial offering program. With this in mind, I scheduled our first "trial" lesson. However, when we arrived, we were to discover that the administrator had neglected to schedule the appointment with the instructor. Worse, that instructor was not accepting students on our preferred day, despite our originally having been informed otherwise. With forgiveness and hope encouraged by the quality of the facility and its popularity, we scheduled an alternative instructor and, for a time, enjoyed lessons as scheduled and of great quality. However, several months later, our instructor chose to pursue other endeavors resulting in our transfer to yet another teacher. We remained committed and continued on. In the coming months, we were to be treated to multiple, same-day cancellations via text from our instructor. "Multiple" representing the majority, of which there were also a handful of others with no more than a day or two of notice. When this occurred, we agreed with our instructor to lengthen subsequent lessons by the time missed due to cancellation. However, there was never a clear accounting provided and management, despite the number of occurrences, chose to never contact us directly. After about six occurrences impacting our weekly lesson within a little over three months, the last without promised response concerning rescheduling received at all, we finally chose to cancel our agreement and provided the required 30-day written notice to do so. Management acknowledged our cancellation, informed us of a pro-rated amount yet to be billed, and offered lessons for other instruments; without expressed concern for cause or further effort to retain. We declined. If...you live within a mile or two of the school, are incredibly flexible with your schedule, have no concern for regularity, and have no need for enhanced services such as web-based student/teacher portals; the North Fulton School of Music may be for you. Alternatively, and unfortunately, you may wish to pursue your lessons via a JoyfulTunes application as we ended up doing. It capably demonstrates as much concern as that which we experienced.
