The receptionist was very pleasant and intuitively knew I needed the restroom key, haha. The nurse was also friendly and understanding. I mention all of this, because there are so many reviews complaining about the staff. During my short visit, there was nothing awry with the office staff or clinical staff. I'll hold my breath for billing, though I checked and double checked that Dr Lubritz was on my insurance plan. The reception and clinical room was clean as a whistle. (oh yeah, and the bathroom near the elevators is a onesie and clean as well). Back to Dr Lubritz.. he is thorough, calm, understanding, he listens, he's funny, he has such a gentle touch, and he dictates the entire diagnostic visit to his nurse on the computer, which I love (I want to hear what is said) and even answers questions in real time. (For example, he said I had some sort of nasal obstruction by 60%... I gasped and said "oh my... what? how? why?" and he chuckled and said, "That's normal... it's normal to have 60-70% obstruction!" of whatever that was. PHEW. He was sure to tell me what things were RIGHT, as well as things that might be of concern. I have to return for further testing, but so far, this is a pleasant doctor's office with a highly competent, obviously very sought after, doctor. I'm so glad he's mine now.

So was finally called in after an hour and a dozen people who came in after me with later appointments. I was treated very well by the nurse, she listened and talked and genuinely was interested in taking care of me and my issues. Then the PA came in she was very professional listened to my concerns and asked good questions. Worked really hard to resolve my issue and set up a plan going forward. She was very thorough and was very communicative.

There was an initial misunderstanding between Dr. Ahmed and I (on my side at least) because I have some ambivalent feelings towards the concept of weight loss surgery in the first place, and given that I was there even for a different purpose, I was a little offended that my weight was brought up and how I would qualify for said surgery if it weren't for my insurance. But I'm trying to keep in mind that most people wouldn't be offended if they were going into the office and that came up, mostly because other people ARE there for weight loss surgery. I try to love my body regardless of my weight, and I am already working with a nutritionist. Anyways, I digress. Initially I was concerned that there was going to be a feeling of tension because of that conversation, but misunderstanding aside, he is a very sweet person the few times I interacted with him or observed him before and after my surgery. He did the procedure at North Vista Hospital yesterday and I feel I was in very safe hands. Unfortunately I think I was still not very lucid after the surgery as I do not remember my conversation with him afterwards but I'm glad to know he came in to check on me when I woke up. (Please forgive me for not remembering the conversation; I talked to Barbara when I was more lucid and was told that I had a conversation with you earlier.) He and his office staff are very sweet and patient (I can't remember all of your names but I appreciate everyone's patience in dealing with my multiple calls to clarify such a swift surgery schedule), so I would recommend him if you need to get a medical procedure done. They make sure to give you plenty of notes and contact information for any questions you might have and a reminder to follow up.

Dear Av Resuello, Medical Group,…read more I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding an extremely unprofessional and disrespectful interaction I experience when calling your office to confirm my appointment. During my call, the first staff member informed me that she could not locate my information and then place me on hold. After several minutes, another person picked up the line and greeted me as if I were a brand-new caller, with no acknowledgment that I had already been on hold. When I expressed the confusion and frustration about the situation, instead of listening or asking what the issue was, that staff member immediately. Stated that the police would be called if I came to the office. The response was completely inappropriate, unnecessary and highly unprofessional. At no point did I threaten anyone. I was simply trying to understand what had happened with my call and my appointment. Being met with that kind of hostility is unacceptable, especially from a medical office where professionalism, respect, and commotional should be top priorities. I am requesting that this incident be properly investigated and that the staff involved receive corrective action, whether that be disciplinary measures or formal retraining on communication, phone etiquette and de-escalation skills. Patient should never feel dismissed or theater when trying to receive assistance. I would also like to mention that when the agent who was assisting me called the office on my behalf, that same staff member spoke to her in a disrespectful and unprofessional manner as well. This shows that the issue is not isolated and that the way customer and even other professional are being spoken to need to be addressed. Please take this matter seriously and ensure that no other patient has toa experience what I did. I walk in to a room full of people (mostly children) and had to ask a child where to check in because the registration 'window' is completely covered with papers/signs/notices ... seriously can't even tell there's a window there. The only door is semi blocked so it took me a while to see that you have to knock on the door (wth) to even get someone to recognize that you are there. I don't even know what to say about quality of care. So bad! I waited over 3 hours and when I finally got in through the door it is littered with unnecessary furniture and obstacles so it makes it hard to walk through the hallways and get in the exam room, which is an office. I get it, it's a small business and you use what you have but this was extreme. The 'nurse' took all my info, then the doctor came in and did do a good background on me, except for wanting to change all my heart medications without first consulting my cardiologist. Then they made a huge mistake by typing in my name wrong on all the records so between them, my insurance claim, and CVS I now have 3 aliases and none of them are me so it's been a month and I'm still trying to get that fixed. It's really hard to get through to the office. The main number rings and rings and then magically disconnects. IMPOSSIBLE to get through, on a regular basis. When the doctor asked me when I wanted to go back for recheck, I asked for a day that wasn't as busy so I didn't have to wait three hours. She LAUGHED and said it was always like that. Wow. I did make an appointment but have been trying every day calling back to back for 20 minutes during lunch to get through to cancel. I will fax them along with a copy of this review and hopefully they will improve their services to other patients. Worst of all, the parking lot is horrid. There is one way in - one way out. Not enough parking for everyone so best of luck if you have big car/suv. I had to go around the block twice to realize the entrance is on the side street and getting out I had to back out of the IN way because I couldn't make the turn around the building to get out the out way.
