DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST…read moreunless you want to be in pain for days, weeks maybe even months (I am going on my 2nd month of constant pain) and have a bottomless cash bag to recover from his errors, which he will not own to it in any way. I went for a root canal a little over a month ago. The result of the procedure he conducted was a bruised face, sores inside my mouth and TMJ (locked jaw). I did not know TMJ could be this painful. Of course, after getting those results, I did not go back to him for the crown. I have called him several times for help.... his suggestions so far: 1) A generic mouth guard from the pharmacy (not working so far) 2) Go see a specialist 3) Maybe the dentist that did the crown did something wrong. Never mind that the TMJ and sores were after his procedure (by day 4 I have pics). I pushed him to agree to do a custom-made mouth guard last week, but now he backed out of it. Apparently, the fact that the tooth hurts still is the ONLY thing that matters. Never mind that I have not had solid food for almost a month, I have bad headaches from the TMJ which makes it difficult to sleep or talk for an extended period of time (more than a few minutes) or even study. I am trying to work on a certification scheduled for July 15th but with all this pain studying is very difficult. So that will be yet another expense due to his incompetency, having to re-schedule. No matter what I say to Dr. Mariano, he has not taken responsibility for anything, not even the bruised face, not even an apology, NOTHING. I have had 3 root canals in my life and I have never had these issues, NEVER. If I were him I would be issuing a full refund at this point, if for no other reason, because his incompetence means I will have to go see a specialist about the TMJ, which he kindly indicated is not even cover by insurance. See pictures attached. Apologies if they are gross, but I really want to warn you. FIND ANOTHER DENTIST. I went to him out of desperation in the middle of everything being closed due to CV-19. Also, the law offices of Dean Schweitzer will tell you how a dentist can cause you to get TMJ, poorly placed dental implants, uneven fillings, faulty bridges or crowns, improperly placed braces, and orthodontic appliances. Not as a normal result of a normal dental procedure. In my case, a temporary tooth left too big which was pushing on both the front and back tooth. Him and his assistant stayed till 7:30 pm to ensure I had a crown that day. He had a bunch of other work and STILL made time to take care of me. They didn't need to stay for me, and I wouldn't have expected it less than 5 hours before thanksgiving. They always have a positive attitude even with my teeth (that aren't good) . It was something I had not experienced at other clinics before. They truly care about long-term dental health, not just the procedure at hand. As far as scheduling and payments for treatments, everything was smooth and hassle-free. I was able to ask all the necessary questions and address any concerns, and they very kindly took the time to answer and explain everything clearly. When it's your turn at the receptionist desk, they ignore you for an awkward period of time- it's strange, honestly. One receptionist was so rude to my partner over the phone, that my partner decided to stop our children's care, and pay again for the services somewhere else. The business owner there needs to train his/her office team. They also REGULARLY cancel meetings same day, but if you change an appointment, they scold you. Read the other 1 and 2-star reviews and you'll see that being rude is a constant there at Woodside Dental. I've never experienced a dentist like this. I strongly encourage you take your insurance and hard earned money somewhere else.

($40/ea quadrant) I said to do the 3 fillings total was $165, paid via CC before they would start the work. After he started he said the filling repair would need a crown ($500), I said I'll hold off on that. He then said he would do the deep cleaning on the bottom teeth because I was already numb and had already paid, but that he would refund me $5 for the difference. He finished the 2 fillings and the deep cleaning on the bottom teeth. And I left and felt like I was done wrong. So I called my insurance company and made a complaint of the hack service and changed my coverage to another office. At the new office (Southbay Plaza Dental) I did not say I had any recent work done prior to the exam, after the exam the dentist said there was 1 filling I needed replaced due to decay, which was a silver filling done while I was in the navy. I asked if I needed the deep cleaning and a crown, he said no, I said really I had just paid $80 for deep cleaning on my lower jaw and not the upper in the last 3 weeks. And that I was told I needed a crown. He stated and showed me pictures of a jaw line that would need the deep cleaning, and then went over my x-rays and showed me there was no cracked filling..... So it just backed up that 'Perfecta Dental' is just out to get your money, even if they have to lie to get it. All I gotta say is this place is hack shop, it is dirtier inside than it is outside. The paint in peeling, it is just horrible. Also, I checked what they charged my Insurance for, and they said I had been in for multiple visits, and had 4 fillings. When I had only been there once and 2 fillings. So they charged my insurance for service not received.
