Don't waste your time or money here. It is pathetic they are still open........ I was told I needed 2 fillings($80), 1 filling repair($85), and a deep cleaning. ($40/ea quadrant) I said to do the 3 fillings total was $165, paid via CC before they would start the work. After he started he said the filling repair would need a crown ($500), I said I'll hold off on that. He then said he would do the deep cleaning on the bottom teeth because I was already numb and had already paid, but that he would refund me $5 for the difference. He finished the 2 fillings and the deep cleaning on the bottom teeth. And I left and felt like I was done wrong. So I called my insurance company and made a complaint of the hack service and changed my coverage to another office. At the new office (Southbay Plaza Dental) I did not say I had any recent work done prior to the exam, after the exam the dentist said there was 1 filling I needed replaced due to decay, which was a silver filling done while I was in the navy. I asked if I needed the deep cleaning and a crown, he said no, I said really I had just paid $80 for deep cleaning on my lower jaw and not the upper in the last 3 weeks. And that I was told I needed a crown. He stated and showed me pictures of a jaw line that would need the deep cleaning, and then went over my x-rays and showed me there was no cracked filling..... So it just backed up that 'Perfecta Dental' is just out to get your money, even if they have to lie to get it. All I gotta say is this place is hack shop, it is dirtier inside than it is outside. The paint in peeling, it is just horrible. Also, I checked what they charged my Insurance for, and they said I had been in for multiple visits, and had 4 fillings. When I had only been there once and 2 fillings. So they charged my insurance for service not received. read more

For the past 2 years, I've been searching for a dentist who is competent in their field along with years of experience. On my first visit, I was kindly greeted and quickly helped with my dental work. Didn't need to wait long in the sitting room or for the procedure to process. During the procedures, I got my teeth cleaned and cavities removed. Surprisingly, I did NOT experienced ANY pain during the process. Over the past few years, I would usually experience pain at different clinics due to my sensitive gums and teeth but I didn't here. This was the moment I knew, I knew that Dr.Luu was the one dentist for me. Scheduling for appts was EASY and fast. No whatsoever conflicts ever occurred. Because of her competency, I decided to get braces (been considering it for years but was afraid of the pain I would get due to past events with past dentists) because I knew and trust that she whatever she is doing, I would be fine. Came back in and then BAM. Tooth extracted, and braces installed. No pain. No swelling. No tears. No whatsoever. Easy peasy. Dr. Luu was very positive and informative during all of my procedures. I did not only receive dental work, but also vital dental education. I'm a strong believer of the law of attraction. I have been searching for a dentist who is competent in their field, quick and efficient, and will not induce minimal or zero pain. I asked, received, and became aligned with my request. This office has two dentists. Both dentists have worked on my teeth. On three different occasions, after Dr. Nguyen worked on my teeth, each time the tooth was so sensitive that I had to get either root canals or get the tooth pulled to stop the pain. Finally, I avoided getting any further dental work done by him. Regarding the other dentist, Dr. Lu, I was very satisfied with her work. The problem with Dr. Lu was that she was only in the office 1/2 day per week, according to the staff. The other 4 1/2 days she was away from the office, working at other locations; that's why I finally stopping going to Perfecta Dental. read more

I was recommended to see Dr. Nguyen by my dad who had a great experience. Well I scheduled an appointment, provided them with my insurance info & etc. My first appointment basically consisted of regular check-up (x-rays & doctor's consultation). Everything went nice and smooth, I even scheduled my next appointment for an actual treatment. A few days later I find out how much they charged my insurance for a simple check-up & x-rays. $239!!! When I called their office and asked why so much $$ just for x-rays, they tell me they don't know & they haven't gotten any payments from my insurance, & if I have any questions I have to contact my insurance. Ok, I call my insurance & I find out this dental office is "not-in-network" and this is how much they basically charge insurances if they are not contracted. Alright! You guys are not-in-network. What was the whole reason of providing you w/ insurance info a week prior to my appointment? You could've called me and at least let me know you are not contracted with my insurance. My mom has a bridge done for her teeth however when they made it for her the fit was not right and therefore uncomfortable for her. When she asked Hien P. Nguyen for an adjustment due to their fault he wanted to charge her $100 for her adjustment on top of what she paid for the bridge! The second incident had to do with my dads dentures. They had made a set of dentures for him and again it wasn't fit to my dads liking and requested for a readjustment. He was told by Hein P. Nguyen that there will be no cost for the readjustment and scheduled an appointment for the readjustment. When the appointment came around for the readjustment Hein P. Nguyen stated that it was going to cost $700 on top of what he already paid for them. He lied to my dad stating that it was free but when his appointment came around he said it would costs $700 when he was the one at fault for making them uncomfortable for my dad to wear. All this dentist wants is money and they obviously don't care about customer service or the well being of their patients. Would not recommend this dentist. read more

I would have to say.... This dental office is the best I've ever been to. I've been their faithful patient for nearly 7 years now. And that's saying a lot because I am very picky about who pokes around in my mouth.. The dentists were extremely gently and patient with me and not at all hasty and money-thirsty like other dentists I've been to in the past. I had a tooth whitening and now my teeth are the whitest they've ever been. My dentist was really amiable and the best thing was that my teeth were barely sensitive, despite my friends warning me about sore gums and sensitive teeth. Dr. Luu explained to me thoroughly in detail what was happening and how they would charge me. They were very flexible with my very busy schedule and agreed to reschedule with me many times. The ambience was calm and relaxing. Also well vented and it seems to me that they're noticeably clean and organized when it comes to their equipment. Dr. Luu and her staff are amazing at what they do - super friendly and knowledgeable. I came here a while ago for an extraction and, let me just say, I did not feel a thing! I literally closed my eyes and the next thing I knew it, it was out! Veeery satisfied with my experience. I recommended my mom here the other day to get her tooth fixed; her crown (or something of that sort) was splitting and causing her pain. After a session with Dr. Luu, it looked brand new and, best of all, no more pain! We will definitely be coming back here in the future for our dental needs. :) read more

I was looking for a new dentist and was recommended to come to this clinic by a coworker First impression you get when you arrive at the building is that it is old. My impression quickly change as soon as I step inside, the waiting room is spacious and the office is clean and modern. My appointment was at 9 am, and after filling out all my paperwork, I was on the chair by 9:20. They took X-rays, and performed an oral exam. Dr. Nguyen spent a decent amount of time and thoroughly went over what I needed to get done and was very knowledgeable. I appreciated that he was straight forward and up-front about the cost before starting any procedures, something not so common these days. The pricing was very competitive, and I decided to have some fillings done in addition to the oral exam & cleaning. The procedure was quick and painless.
