Not a busy pub on a Friday night. Packers and Seahawks signs all around the walls. One section in the back is reserved while a majority up front is open seating. There is also what looks like a "VIP" section in the back assuming its for the VIPs when sports are on. Plenty of pool tables and i even saw kids here enjoying their meals. Overall, friendly bar. Service is nice. Food is okay. Not too bad to enjoy a drink at this pub. read more

Guinness on tap...friendly efficient waitstaff and perfect fish and chips. I love this place. Perfect for low key family dining. The cod is lightly battered and perfectly cooked, and the Guinness is delicious. My dinner companion said their chowder is delicious. We split the fish and chips. Three big cod fillets, chips and cup of chowder, $14.99. Hard to beat. BTW, the homemade pizza at the brewery next door is awesome too! read more

My wife chose it. As we pulled up I looked over longingly at the pizza/brewery right next door... oh well. They have a diner menu which I love. I chose a cup of chili and a club sandwich. Seems safe, right? Service was pretty good and the food + drinks came out pretty quickly. I ate the chili, but it was barely that. A very stiff, tomatoey concoction - more of a bean and tomato stew than a chili. My wife's French fries were too hot for her to eat, but mine were room temperature and rubbery. I availed myself of the ketchup to drown out the lameness. Obviously, my sandwich and fries sat in the window for 20 minutes while my wife's fresh French fries and sandwich were being made. There were two slices of cheese on my sandwich. One was pale, pale yellow, like smoked Gouda, and the other orange fading to processed yellow as though the cheese hadn't been wrapped, and the ends had dried out. I studied my sandwich as the chemical reaction from the chili worked on my guts, wondering if I should call out the variations in cheese colors to someone. Our server was just fine, but there was another lady wandering around who seemed like she worked there. She came over and addressed the tables in our section by commenting that one of us smelled really nice. She seemed lost without a brass pole. I didn't see one, which is why she maybe seemed so clueless. She didn't dress like she 'worked' there by a long shot. My wife had ordered a beer to go with her sandwich, while I'd gotten a coke. And she eats slowly. By the time I was done she was only half way through. I felt full. Not only was the helping of rubbery fries and the size of the weird cheese sandwich a decent size, but the reaction of whatever was in the chili was doing its thing. We've all been in a spot where our mate was eating slowly and then lingering over a drink after having finished their meal. I was struggling. If the road crew hadn't cut through the power for our neighborhood we wouldn't even be there. But there I was: stomach gurgling and in pain wishing to god that my wife would finish her sandwich and beer. Our server brought the bill efficiently. I'm assuming it was the chili or the cheese that had me feeling like my intestines were pregnant. And being in my last trimester, it wouldn't have been right for me to penalize the server for the restaurant getting my 'in that way'. You'd think I pushed the bill and a credit card to my wife to make sure it was a fair tip, but really it's because the monster in my belly had grown so large I couldn't see straight. Blasted Bellevue traffic! It took 20 minutes to get home. Jesus, gremlins, and Josephat, it felt like I was going to burst. I could feel the monster move shift itself as we sat in traffic moving from Coal Creek to Factoria boulevard and onto Newport. I picked the bathroom I imagined would be furthest away from where my wife would be and had an experience reminiscent of a colonoscopy cleanse. Since the power was out and I wanted to be as discrete possible I had the water running bull bore. Still, I may have called out deliriously thinking I was back in the hoa grappling with dysentery or for a colonic exorcism. At a point, you wonder was it the chili, or the weird cheese - maybe it was those two and the room temperature rubbery fries in combination - I can't say. What I can tell you is that it was an unforgettable experience. I explained it all to my wife. She just laughed, and laughed. Will we be back? I do love diner-style food, I'm adventurous, and there aren't any amusement parks nearby, so maybe. read more

To me, any bar with pull tabs is by definition a dive bar. I recommend the chicken, which is almost as good as Marco Polo in Georgetown, but much closer if you're on the East side. We'd been here a couple years ago and had AMAZING Caesar salad and sandwiches, so we returned: ATTENTION TO DETAILS MATTERS!!! This place is a 15 on a scale of 1-10! This is right down the street and I've never been here before and I was craving a good club sandwich and I also saw they had mud pie and was sold, so I ordered via DoorDash and picked up the order myself. I didn't know we had a pool place, so it's good to know for future reference. The bar was full of regulars and as a younger person coming in I felt like I got some looks. Bar is very old school feel to it, and idk but I got a country or Midwesterner vibe compared to Resonate brewery next door which is very PNW and modern. One of the waitresses gave me my order and I was out the door. I was starving so I demolished this food with a quickness. The club was delicious, the ingredients were fresh, the lettuce is the best tell tale sign of quality and it was tasty, as well as the tomatoes and the ham was very salty so everything was very balanced. The mud pie was not what I was expecting, I was just thinking it was going to be a chocolate creme mud pie, but this was even better, it had nuts (I think they were pecans) and it tasted like a mixture of pralines and chocolate, and that was inhaled. We went to the mustard seed tonight to watch the Packers versus Seahawks football game. Pretty packed crowd, yet the service was top-notch and the staff checked in with us multiple times. Food was excellent, hot and fresh, and exactly as ordered. The atmosphere was electric, with lots of football chants, good-natured rivalry, and an amazingly fun group of Packer fans to hang out with. Mustard Seed Grill & Pub checks the list for all these things, which makes me wonder why I haven't been to this place before. My friend and I came here by accident, and it was a fortunate one at that. We had dinner reservations nearby; but until then, we decided to have a beer at Mustard Seed 'til our table was ready. We walked in and the place screamed of a dive. Dark lighting with pool tables, dart boards and TVs playing sports everywhere. It was a laidback place with a few peeps inside. We sat at a high-top table in the bar area and saw that some tables were reserved. Good to know if you come with a group. They had a solid list of local taps, including Georgetown Brewery's Lucille IPA, which is one of my go-tos. We only came here for a beer, but they do have a food menu list of what you'd expect at a bar, like burgers, fries, chicken strips, etc... All in all, I'd come back. But will definitely avoid during a Packers game, as I noticed that they had a lot of Packers memorabilia everywhere. Barf. read more

Years ago when we moved into the area we were extremely pleased to find the Mustard Seed! Their food was very good with (in our opinion) the absolute best Beer Battered Cod in the NW! UNFORTUNATELY they have transitioned away from beer batter to a breaded cod that is so-so at best. We have had it twice & both times the breading was bland at best & the fish slightly dried out. On both visits this sure seemed to infer frozen, pre-breaded fish! We ask the waitress why & was given the most lame answer we have heard in a long time. She said: ~"with covid making it hard to find good help we found they couldn't make it properly" & "the breaded style is more popular". Are you serious? Wow, what an answer! So sad as this was one of the main reasons for us visiting The Mustard Seed! Please consider bringing back the main reason we came to your establishment. The Mustard seed is by far the best sports bar in Bellevue. The food is excellent and the service is even better. I've not once since a fight there or even disorderly conduct. They have several pool tables, dartboards, and the TVs are always playing sports, unlike the competitions. They even have the UFC fights while the competitions feature live jazz bands. If you're looking for a nice clean place to eat or drink, watch a game, or play in a pool or dart league, this is your spot. read more

Word of warning: I've been told this time and again and saw in the decorations, this is a PACKERS BAR. Which means whenever there are GB games on, you can expect it to be a MADHOUSE. I've heard it's just best to avoid it all together during those times. I was here for a dart match, obviously. It was pretty busy and kids are allowed here. Not sure if it's until a certain time or what, but there were plenty of little ones. Dart boards are in good condition, everything is actually pretty clean... Only thing that was a little rough was the service. It was pretty slow and took quite a long time to get our food. I ended up doing the Chef Salad and added avocado. Friday night had craving for a burger - looked at Yelp for recommendations and decided to check out Mustard Seed. Ample parking and spacious location- a quintessential sports bar. This is the dive bar of choice among my friends, solely due to location and convenience, as it's distinguishing feature is a lack of distinguishing features. I don't order food here much, but I recently had a chicken club which I would characterize as above average, if just barely. The side salad was covered with shredded cheese, a detail that represents the Mustard Seed well overall. Service can be spotty, as well as the music. There are plenty of TVs to watch sports on. Walking in it seems like just another American themed sports bar with TV's, lots of bar seating, and dartboards and such. There is however two separate sections that are kid friendly up until 9pm. So I took my kid. She got the hot wings which she thoroughly enjoyed and saved room for a mud pie dessert. I got a standard jumbo fried shrimp and chips and it delivered. The menu is pretty vast and not just bar food. You can certainly order a 30 dollar sirloin if you wanted to.
