We came here for a graduation party and were seated in the back room -- spacious, comfortable, and perfect for groups, with pool tables and plenty of room to hang out. The catered buffet was great: green salad, fried rice, chicken chow mein, karaage Chicken , and short ribs, all tasty and well‑seasoned. Parking is super easy with a big lot next to a supermarket. I've been here twice in two weeks trying to catch Prime Rib Night, which only happens every other Thursday. Best to check online (FB) or email ahead like I did to confirm. Overall, the food was okay for me--most dishes leaned a bit on the oily side. The smoked prime rib, though, is the reason I'd come back. We ordered it medium rare, and it exceeded my expectations, especially for the price. You can also swap for double veggies if you want to skip the rice, which is a nice option. Terry's Kitchen serves a mix of Hawaiian and Chinese-style comfort food--kind of hard to categorize, but it works. It's decent overall and very reasonably priced for the area. I personally like their loco moco, which is the standout for me. The fried rice and chow mein are pretty bland and not anything special, but the service is always very kind and welcoming, which goes a long way. One more reason to love Terry's. In addition to the killer smoked prime rib on Thursdays I decided to give the Hawks Chicken Fried Steak a try. Could be my favorite in Seattle. I discovered this place through a Yelp event, and I'm so glad I did! This venue is genuinely impressive. Super entertaining, very welcoming, and just a great all-around experience. The bartender was amazing, and the cocktails were top-notch. The food was also excellent--Asian-inspired dishes in what felt like a cool mix between a restaurant, pool hall, and karaoke lounge. You can sit down for a proper meal, shoot some pool, sing your heart out, or just relax with a great drink. There's something for everyone. The staff, especially the bartenders, were incredibly friendly and made sure everyone had a great time. They made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Prices were more than fair for what you get--you really can't beat the value. And don't let the exterior fool you; the space is huge inside, with plenty of room to eat, hang out, or have fun. Walkable from my house, I brought my family for dinner. The menu, billed as "comfort food", delivers on that promise. Tater tots and crispy spare ribs warmed us up for tofu chow mein and chicken karaage. The meat dishes were the stars for me, as the spare ribs were tender but crispy at the same time, and the karaage was perfectly crispy and juicy. The portions are astounding, we took more home than we ate. Value was high. Service was very attentive and friendly. I've been here twice now and sad I didn't take a picture of my food before. So the first time I ever had Terry's kitchen was a few days after Saint Patty's day. And for some reason on their online menu, they still had corned beef and cabbage, and then when I got to the restaurant, they were like oh we are no longer serving that I'm so sorry which I was absolutely devastated because I love corned beef and cabbage and I hadn't had a chance to have any. So they had me wait a little bit and the chef managed to find a little bit of corned beef and make it for me. And the corned beef was phenomenal. The slices were cut really thick and it just melted in your mouth like butter. Everything else with the cabbage and then the carrots and the mashed potatoes were pretty basic and generally good but that corned beef was absolutely stunning. Service here can be interesting when it comes to waiters, like being ignored to over service. I came in and got a rare hamburger and added cheddar cheese and garlic tater tots which both were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I will keep coming here but I prefer to takeout vs dining in. The freaking katsu! It was so tender and perfectly crisp! It's some of the best katsu I have had. I was able to try a few drinks but the one that sticks out to me was kur Collins and it was so refreshing! The staff were all friendly and attentive. One of my favorite things in Hawaii is there fried rice. So very thankful to have it even closer. Also, I recently went back to Hawaii and had what I thought was my favorite rice and now I realize Terry's kitchen hands-down kitchen sink will always now be my favorite. My wife opted for the hamburger which has a good amount of add on options to customize it to your liking. She added a hot link which is not common and we're suckers for a hot link burger! Paired with some nice crispy fries tasted great! Nice spice with a great burger another solid choice. Brother in law got the prime rib dip sandwich with au ju, he said it was also great paired with fries. Personally everything was great and I'm happy that my wife decided to try this spot because it's our new go to. The food was horrible -- feathers on the chicken wings, frozen chicken fried steak. The eggs were OK, but other than that, really horrible. Service was good, not surprisingly, since the kitchen area was empty. People seemed to be having a good time in the bar, though. Do not eat here. So disappointed in this business. We have been loyal customers since Terry's Kitchen opened years ago. We loved dining here and bringing new customers with us to patronize this restaurant. The wait staff has always been super nice and friendly. However, most recently their entrees just aren't as good as they used to be. I think their kitchen cooks may be rushed and not paying attention to detail? We had ordered sandwiches with a side of tater tots. In the past, this was always a delicious entree. This time, the sandwich was super greasy as well as the tater tots. Oh my, I had to use two paper towels to sop up the excess in oil! As part of our order, we also had their beef chow mein. Just as the old commercials used to say "Where's the beef??" We literally counted 4 pieces of beef and about 8 cups of soggy noodles. I don't know any restaurant that only puts 4 pieces of meat into a large entree dish. Geez! Terrible! If you decide to patronize this place, be sure to avoid their beef chow mein. Definitely a nice cozy restaurant. Yet it appears to have plenty of tables and chairs. I had the chili moco. They also have a loco moco. But there's lots of choices on the menu. They have a customizable burger, steak, fried rice, katsu etc. it's an eclectic menu. So there's many different food genres to choose from. The restaurant is unassuming and you'll be pleasantly surprised when you get inside. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is done well and served up in a timely fashion. Over the course of the pandemic, I'd gotten takeout from here, and very recently I actually dined at the restaurant, and it was the first time I'd actually seen the place. First, I have to admit that I've only had Terrys prime rib special, both as takeout and when I visited. It's a screaming great deal for what you get, there are two different sizes to choose from, veggies and rice or mashed potatoes with au jus. It's cooked perfectly and every bite is smoked thru and through. Tbh it's my favorite place for prime rib, when I get the craving! Now, it's prob also going to be helpful for you to know that if ambiance is important, this is a seriously casual older place that has a pool hall in the back. It is located in a very old strip mall, and if I hadn't gotten the reco from another friend to try the prime rib, I probably would not have thought to give it a try. But, I'm so glad I did. Honestly, we're shocked this place has a four star rating! We had decent expectations for this place since it has a four star Yelp rating and we love Hawaiian food in general! We came here to celebrate our friends birthday last weekend. We had a pretty large group so they sat us in their larger room which had the bar and pool tables. I ordered the loco moco which is usually my go-to for Hawaiian food, my husband got their house combo plate and we also got the kids grilled cheese sandwich for our son. The gravy on my loco moco was very bland which basically made my whole dish bland in general since that's where most of the flavor comes from. I didn't try any of my husbands food since honestly it didn't look very appetizing lol especially the noodles. He said his food was okay and compared the noodles the Safeway food court noodles.. the tater tots were good? Looking for a late-night bite, we decided to try this restaurant, and while our server, Nia, was fantastic and the ambiance was pleasant--especially given how close we were to closing time--the meal itself didn't quite meet our expectations. We ordered a variety of dishes: Garlic Spareribs, Prime Rib, French Fries, Mac & Cheese, Fish & Chips, and a Hamburger with Fries. The Spareribs and Mac & Cheese were decent enough, but the other entrées left something to be desired. It's never a good sign when a kid is unimpressed by a hamburger, and unfortunately, that was the case here.
