    Smoked Prime Rib
    Carol C.

I've been here twice in two weeks trying to catch Prime Rib Night, which only happens every other Thursday. Best to check online (FB) or email ahead like I did to confirm. Overall, the food was okay for me--most dishes leaned a bit on the oily side. The smoked prime rib, though, is the reason I'd come back. We ordered it medium rare, and it exceeded my expectations, especially for the price. You can also swap for double veggies if you want to skip the rice, which is a nice option. Friendly staff, plenty of seating, and a large parking lot make it an easy spot to visit.

Terry's Kitchen serves a mix of Hawaiian and Chinese-style comfort food--kind of hard to categorize, but it works. It's decent overall and very reasonably priced for the area. I personally like their loco moco, which is the standout for me. The fried rice and chow mein are pretty bland and not anything special, but the service is always very kind and welcoming, which goes a long way. It's not a must-have spot, but definitely good once in a while when you're looking for something casual and affordable.

Hawk Chicken Fried Steak - great gravy and just added a little sriracha for fun to go.

One more reason to love Terry's. In addition to the killer smoked prime rib on Thursdays I decided to give the Hawks Chicken Fried Steak a try. Could be my favorite in Seattle. So many places seem to serve up a semi-gristly kind of beef but Terry's was really nice. Not a tough chewy affair but a tasty one without all the extra work just getting it down. :D Add to that the always great drinks and we always go away happy. Enjoyed it so much that even though we were there to experience live music (highly recommended!) I grabbed an order to go. A+++

Ts comfort bowl. What in the world is this?

This was descibed as a comfort bowl with chicken, mushroom gravy and mash potato. I did get to choose my gravy but come on. This looked like a bowl of ceral gone bad and tasted like milk. There was no flavor and where were the mushrooms?? I came here because all of the reviews I read said it was so good but now I question how drunk everyone was. Save your money and dont come here.

This eastside neighborhood eatery has been rocking it and the atmosphere harkens to a scene from the sitcom Cheers! Both the bar and restaurant vibes are quaint and offers great food and drinks! We had the daily special which was a country fried steak, potatoes and an over easy egg. We also had the wasabi baked salmon and fish & chips (subbed in tater tots). For those in the know they've taken some old school South Seattle favs like Imperial Lanes Bowling Alley, South China Restaurant and other ID's favs and incorporated them into their delightful menu. Don't forget a lime freeze! The service is always nice and they're very attentive to all their customers.

Very good comfort food super close to where I live. I got the Chinatown garlic spareribs and the flavors were really spot on. I love how every entree came with mac salad.

I just love this place! My husband goes here every week for pool and he buys me food while he shoots pool. Our favorite is the garlic spareribs. We also love the katsudon, meatloaf, and country fried chicken. Oh and the caramel toffee cake is amazing! Terry is just nice and cool. The staff is amazing and friendly as well! The place itself is very chill. I don't mind hanging out here while my husband shoots pool since the people are cool, the food is amazing, and the spot is chill.

Walkable from my house, I brought my family for dinner. The menu, billed as "comfort food", delivers on that promise. Tater tots and crispy spare ribs warmed us up for tofu chow mein and chicken karaage. The meat dishes were the stars for me, as the spare ribs were tender but crispy at the same time, and the karaage was perfectly crispy and juicy. The portions are astounding, we took more home than we ate. Value was high. Service was very attentive and friendly. I would recommend Terry's to anyone looking for comfort in the bottom of a meat platter.

I've been here twice now and sad I didn't take a picture of my food before. So the first time I ever had Terry's kitchen was a few days after Saint Patty's day. And for some reason on their online menu, they still had corned beef and cabbage, and then when I got to the restaurant, they were like oh we are no longer serving that I'm so sorry which I was absolutely devastated because I love corned beef and cabbage and I hadn't had a chance to have any. So they had me wait a little bit and the chef managed to find a little bit of corned beef and make it for me. And the corned beef was phenomenal. The slices were cut really thick and it just melted in your mouth like butter. Everything else with the cabbage and then the carrots and the mashed potatoes were pretty basic and generally good but that corned beef was absolutely stunning. Service here can be interesting when it comes to waiters, like being ignored to over service. I came in and got a rare hamburger and added cheddar cheese and garlic tater tots which both were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I will keep coming here but I prefer to takeout vs dining in. It's lovely inside the place. But again you never know what you're going to get when it comes to your host/waiter

Local family favorite, especially if you're looking for an island plate lunch or dinner. I have dined in the main dining area and for an event in the event space.

Wasabi salmon, with kitchen sink rice

One of my favorite things in Hawaii is there fried rice. So very thankful to have it even closer. Also, I recently went back to Hawaii and had what I thought was my favorite rice and now I realize Terry's kitchen hands-down kitchen sink will always now be my favorite. They also make amazing fish and chips, salmon, with wasabi sauce, and the crispy chicken with almond sauce. It's all delicious. Great people with friendly service and ambience is clean and nice.

Yes, they do. It is in the side parking lot to the right of the restaurant and is under tents.

Comes on a sesame bun unless otherwise noted. I really enjoyed the toppings. Fresh and plentiful with tomatoes, pickles, lettuce and their special sauce. AKA a thousand island style sauce. The burger itself had a good chargrilled flavor. My only complaint is that it seemed a bit cold. But for $10, definitely a good deal! The onion rings were good. Hot and tasty. The spiral French fries were just ok. The side ranch was good and I really enjoyed the garlic aioli. Friendly service and chill vibes. A nice outdoor area with two tables and small lawn. The ratio of bun to filling is correct and all of the ingredients are high quality. It just hits the spot and I'll get a single patty if I need a light snack vs. 2 doubles for a proper meal. The ambiance is a little quirky given whatever this building was used for before they moved in, but it's clean. Tables, kitchen area (what's visible), bathrooms, kiosk, soda machine, etc. And there's a fair number of tables despite most folks I know doing take-out here. Service is excellent. The prices aren't going to be the cheapest in town, but this is a classic mom and pop shop vs. a more at-scale corporate franchise or similar. Important to support local businesses.

Their most popular dishes are the rice rolls while everyone still complains about how long it takes to make stone pot rice dishes. In case anyone misses the fine print, it takes over 30 minutes. We ordered via the tablet at the front, and the food is brought out to us at the table. A rack on a wall has all the utensils and napkins, etc. Parking is plentiful. The Food: Shrimp Rice Rolls $11.99 - 4 Stars The rice rolls are still as good as I remember them. For some reason, it feels a bit out of balance this time. A lot of rice rolls, not a lot of shrimp. The sauce is fantastic and a must. Signature Beef Brisket Rice Rolls add Egg, $18.99+$1 - 4 Stars This is a beefy take on the rice roll. The added egg provided the yellow hue in the rice roll. Some brisket pieces are fattier. Their version is the traditional style with the chewy bit attached; some folks might hate it due to this. The sauce is also beefy. This is almost a soup, not in a bad way. Clear Soup Beef Offal with Daikon, $12.99 - 0 Stars This was a sad dish. When they say soup, they meant most broth, with few contents. The daikon wasn't tender. The offal and the soup didn't have much flavor. I rarely leave food behind, but I did for this dish. Garlic Fried Chicken Wings, $7.99 - 5 Stars The clear winner of the night were their wings. I believe four pieces of plump and fat wings, perfectly crispy and flavorful. I would order this again.
