Immediately after my puppy was groomed he showed signs of being uncomfortable- tucking his bottom, not wanting to poop, and pooping in the house. I initially thought he was just traumatized from the experience, but after three days I contacted the vet and took him in. I was told his anal glands were VERY FULL (not expressed as they should have been) and his bottom had clipper burn. I immediately emailed Mutt Cuts with a very nice message stating I know we're all human and mistakes happen, but wanted some further information. I received an immediate response saying they would look into it. After a week of no response I emailed back- no response. I emailed again- no response. Finally, I called the 800 number and was met with a very rude employee. I was told I never emailed them (even though they emailed me back). I asked to speak with a manager and was told the owner isn't available. They said I should have contacted the groomer directly the same day. Again, I asked to speak with a manager and they said, "You'll receive a survey," and HUNG UP ON ME! I'm pretty reasonable and understand we all make mistakes. My family saw the groomer choking and slapping our timid cat, Zigi. When we asked why, they blamed Zigi for being aggressive. The sounds of Zigi crying were distressing. When we brought him home, he was bleeding from the mouth, with the groomers claiming he bit his own tongue--an excuse they've used with other reviewers too. Groomer arrived few minutes late.. He was ok until he met my 2 dogs.. My dogs had their first groom last year from Burlingame Mobile and they were perfect, and now first time again from this company.. If not for their nails, I would have done the grooming and washing , myself, as I know how to do it, except nail trimming and grinding.. Got the package for the 2 dogs worth $125+ tax each.. I chose to stand by to watch the groomer so I am sure my dogs will be safe.. Funny how he used a vacuum cleaner to dry my dogs, I mean hello.. Not sure the pressure of the water while bathing them + his vacuum blow dry made my dogs cry for help.. Camilo was the groomer and he was hard and rough on my dogs.. They were great the first time with Burlingame Mobile Grooming but for some reason with this company, my dogs could feel the negative energy from this groomer and didn't like him.. He was harsh handling them to a point I had to withdraw my dogs from getting hurt more and grabbed them away.. If I could give negative stars I would. This company's customer service and professionalism is awful. I can't rate the actual grooming part because I didn't make it that far. I booked my appointment and the groomer was a no show. I called the office over a dozen times and couldn't get ahold of anyone. So I emailed them and asked for someone to call me back and let me know what's going on. Rather than call me like requested, someone emailed saying 'oh your groomer didn't show up?' Appt booked for 10:00am this morning. I see that the van is out front at about 9:55am...early, great! They didn't come to the door or text, so I waited till 10:00am, as I thought they may be on the phone or something. Walked out at 10:00am and they DROVE OFF! Called the number on the booking and was told it was some other groomer and not Mutts Cuts. Called the 800# on the website and the same lady answered! I asked if she works through or with Mutts Cuts and she said yes...OMG... Supposedly she's calling the groomer and will call me back to see what's going on. NOT a good first experience! UPDATE: The groomer came back. She said my appt was removed from her schedule, so she left. Odd, but ok. No harm, no foul. My dog is old and can't stand up well. He struggled and cried in the tub, as there was no grip. I ended up having to help hold him up. The tub also wouldn't drain. She said it wasn't her van, as hers is in the shop. The groomer said her dog was hit and killed by a car this morning, so that was awful. Offered to skip appt, but she said no. Overall, is was a bit traumatic for my dog and me. This was my first time trying a mobile groomer. I only did so, because I'm having awful back and sciatic issues. I likely won't be doing so again. The lady was very nice, however and if there were grippy floors in the tub and you have a more cooperative pup, I could see it going a lot better than it did for me. Worth a try! read more

I scheduled an appointment for Friday and the day of an hour after appointment window was texted that there was car troubles. Was asked to reschedule which I had no problem doing. We agreed on Monday 9:30. I made special arrangements so my boyfriend could bring our dog down and be available. We both called and texted asking if they were coming with no response. We have given our cat, Angel, a Lion cut annually for several years and have NEVER had an experience like we have with this company. At 4:30 PM yesterday, we handed over Angel to the mobile van to start the service. At 5:45, we get the following text: "can you come, he got stressed, bit me, jumped out from my table, bit his own tongue...". When my husband got to the van, Angel had a towel in her mouth (clenching on it), she was wet and she wasn't moving. When we brought her into the house, she couldn't sit up or stand so we watched her and held her until 10:00 PM. She also had a little blood around her mouth. When we woke up this morning, she still hadn't moved much and her mouth had much more blood around it. At 8:30 AM this morning, we checked her into the vet hospital. We don't know if we will see her alive again or how much it will take to resolve this issue.... We paid this company $150 for what they did to our cat. And we received no apology when we asked what happened in the van - they are saying she wasn't drugged but there really is not good explanation. DO. NOT. USE. THIS. SERVICE!!!!! read more

Prior to my appointment, they did a great job sending emails with my appointment reminder, and even text me yesterday to confirm my 8 am appointment. Well, it is currently 10 am and no one has showed up and I am getting no response from their phone number. I have to imagine at this point no one is coming, but since I can't even get a response to confirm they won't be here, I am just waiting around the house on the off chance they decide to show up over 2 hours later. This company is careless with the animals they service. THEY LOST MY DOG!! AND DIDN'T CARE TO HELP RECOVER DOG!!! SEEK SERVICE ELSEWHERE if you care about the wellbeing of your pet. A last minute appointment availability early was a lucky find but really a hidden red flag that turned out to be a nightmare!!! This company is built with independent contractors that communicate with this business. They didn't communicate with the original groomer scheduled and sent 2 mobile groomers out for the service call. Which in turn they tried to charge a cancellation fee for one of the groomers. The service was scheduled at 8am but arrived 30 min late. SECOND, the groomer took both dogs into his van which was parked in my driveway. Which at that point I wondered why??? But I went along with this. A few hours later , the dispatcher called to informed me that they lost one of my dogs !!!!! LOST MY FURRY BABY!!!! I was shocked!!! Stuck in my emotions.....extremely mad at this point I asked what they where doing about the issue. She mentioned they were looking for my dog in the area. I asked about their licensing and all their insurance information after several attempts per texts and phone conversations and they refused to release this information. The lady at the dispatch said they had nothing to do with the issue and that it was the groomer's fault. Their attempts to finding my dog was a false statement because they left the area to never finding my dog. They just moved on to their next service nonchalantly!!!! I was extremely astonished at her response as I thought I was calling this company to service my grooming needs but instead this company points fingers to each other and take no accountability.
