I'm writing this review for one of my dog walking clients. She asked me if I knew of any mobile grooming services that may be available within the next couple of days. A few of the other grooming services that I contacted did not have any availability for quite some time. I was so happy to be able to find out that Mutt Cuts was available. I bookEd them for her dog Barkley last week for an appointment for this past Saturday. I was there with my client and her dog when they showed up on time at 12 noon. The young man (sorry I dont remember his name) was very nice and very professional. He spent a short time with us going over what type of haircut Barkley needed. Barkley is a miniature Yorkie so it only took about an hour for the completion of his grooming. He did an outstanding job on Barkley! I had my Dog, Bennie get a haircut and shampoo with Mari Montgomery today and I am sooo delighted I did! Bennie normally does not like people and when Mari started the grooming process we had to put a muzzle on Bennie so he could not bite. By the time she was done, Bennie was literally hugging Mari and the muzzle was no longer needed. He stayed still when she was cutting the hair around his eyes and I was blown away! I feel so bad for my puppy. This was her very first grooming experience, and she is a small Coton de Tulare (Very similar to a Havanese). The woman on the phone who took my appointment was extremely rude and she was noticeably annoyed with my questions. The groomers showed up at a random time, 2:30 pm when the appointment was for 4pm. Then they spent an obscene amount of time cutting her whole body by hand (remember this is like a 5lb puppy) bc their sheets were broken... all they were supposed was a puppy trim and a wash!! By the time my poor baby came out of the truck she looked like she had been mauled. all her hair was gone and she was cowering. I would not recommend this company!! read more

Bad experience. This business appears to be a BOOKING SERVICE ONLY. I wish I had looked at all the negative Yelp reviews first as well as reports of fraud and criminal activity. I made a reservation online, received a nice email confirmation then nothing. A couple of days before my appt, I received a strange text message from someone who appeared to be the groomer asking if I could change the appt to an earlier day. At first I requested to cancel but then said that could work if they told me what time. They never did. Totally quiet until today when somone else suddenly started texting me to confirm the appointment and time (mind you, this is to arrive on a day AFTER the original groomer had stated they could be here). The post booking coordination and communication is pathetic and childish. Wow... !! My cat looks amazing! This is the first time I have ever had my cat groomed by a mobile van. Mauricio ( and I apologize, I can't remember the other mans name) were so kind and polite. I could tell immediately that they love what they do. My cat was so scared but they started talking to her and tried to put her at ease. It took them only an hour to groom her. I will definitely use their services again. It was less stress on my cat too. I could tell she felt so much better the second I got her inside and out of her carrier. She smells so darn good too! I appreciate mobile grooming businesses; however, with Mutts Cuts you take a chance that your groomer will be a good fit. My groomer was an hour and a quarter late, and she did just an okay job of washing, blow drying and brushing my dog. The van had another dog in it who barked. My dog who is a small alpha and not easily upset seemed slightly traumatized by the experience. A few years ago I used the same service, but that was before it expanded: then the groomer was great. And $95.00 for just washing and drying seems rather pricey. read more

I have used them twice, but this last time was the worst!! I originally made an appointment but ask them if they had anything sooner to let me know. They said they had someone sooner on 10/20 at 5:30 so I said that was fine. The groomer text me said he was going to be here at 6:45. I needed someone to clean up my furry babies right away so I decided to give Mutt Cuts a try. The groomer was a few minutes early, had me fill out some forms, and then took both my dogs. One of my dogs was pretty bad so he was honest and told me he'd have to shave her down all the way because she was too matted. My male dog was given a haircut. Never use this company. The own is very mean. I made an appointment and it was going to take a month to get in. When it came to the day before the appointment the company confirmed they will there. Day of appointment I wait for them to come. It is an hour after the appointment time and I finally get a hold of someone. They tell me it was canceled by the groomer. No one ever called me. I rescheduled only because I was desperate and our usual groomer was out of town. The groomer arrived almost an hour late, and then told me that they don't cut... only wash. I booked a 2pm appointment for my Dog to be shaved today, groomer arrived at 3:30pm. At approximately 5:45 the groomer knocked on my door with my shaved pup telling me he trimmed one of her nails short, but it is "ok". He promptly let the dog inside and left. I immediately noticed my dog was trailing blood through the house with her. I sat her down and noticed she was pooling blood from her right front paw. I grabbed bandages and towels for her. She soaked through 3 towels before I could control the bleeding. She was whining and clearly in pain. There was blood covering her body from her paw. I also noticed several cuts on her tummy from where the groomer got her skin. I called the business and spoke with the owner Carlos who said "it is against policy to offer a refund". The owner did not even care to ask about the wellbeing of my dog and would only communicate in email despite me requesting a phone call. I sent him the photos below which he did not acknowledge. I am utterly disgusted with this company. I paid $150 for my dog to be badly injured and need medical assistance. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I cannot believe the negligence and utter lack of care this company showed towards my dog. read more

Due to social distance policy, I tried Mutt Cuts Mobile Grooming for the first time. The groomer Johnny did a great job on the full service grooming for my 90 lbs golden-doodle. After Johnny left, I found the flea and tick collar was not on my pet's neck, after contacting Johnny, he personally delivered the collar back to me within a few hours(after work hours). My experience was not good at all. We were scheduled to get our golden doodle groomed and the groomer cancelled due to car trouble. They then rescheduled for the next morning for 8am. They asked to reschedule that appointment to later in that day. They were not able to make that appointment on time so needless to say our dog did not get groomed. This couple were fabulous. It was the first time that I ever used a mobile groomer. For the last 8 years I had taken my dogs (Bichon mix) to a groomer locally, but due to the Coronavirus they were closed. As a result they had not been groomed I about 10 weeks. This couple came exactly when they said they would and carried my 2 guys to their van and within 2 hours brought back 2 beautiful pups, properly cut and groomed my neighbor brought her one year old puppy(a golden doodle) and they again performed a miracle. If I could give 0 stars, I would! If you care anything about your pet, I would not trust these people with them or any living being at all. Last week, we trusted Maris with our Yorkie, and not only did she cut her badly and not tell us, but she brought her back to us in full on respiratory distress. When I saw that she was having trouble breathing, I knew we needed to take her to the vet. Maris tried to convince us not to take her, called someone on FaceTime, said he was a "vet". He said that the way that she was breathing was "normal". Maris frantically begged us not to take her to the vet and refused to leave our home until we stepped out to seek emergency care. As soon as we took her in, they told us that she was having trouble breathing in, and asked if I ever used a collar leash and that there had been stress on her trachea. We called Maris and asked if she had placed anything around her neck. She lied and said that she hadn't, but when I went back to review the before and after photos, there was clearly a thick rope, not a collar that had been placed around my dog's neck. I told the vet that I had only used a harness and explained what had occurred during her nightmare of a grooming experience. She's lucky to be alive. This "business" does not care about animals. Please take your pets elsewhere if you care about them. read more
