They are responsive, they are honest, and they put in the time to make you feel like they care as opposed to some of these companies that are just trying to get through the job as fast as possible. I recently had a plumbing issue and needed them to come out to see what was wrong. They do free estimates. Mike and his gang figured out what the problem was almost immediately and fixed it within a few minutes. When I pulled out my wallet to pay, he told me that it was free of charge due to how quickly it was solved, and just said remember us next time you have a plumbing problem. That kind of service, especially out of a plumbing business, kind of blows my mind. 2nd Review 2 yrs later- Mike and Alex did do a major replacement of our bathroom plumbing including breaking through concrete floor and replacing the structural plumbing from bathrooms to main line. This was a big job and they worked hard and we haven't had a problem with it since. They warned us that the kitchen line was barely holding up and would need work in future. 3rd review-2025 We finally hit the wall with our final leg of our plumbing journey! Mike& crew have replaced our main line to the city sewer, replaced the garage pipes ( more jackhammers), replaced and relocated the washing machine and refrigerator plumbing, installed new hot water heater with expansion tank and put in a hot water circulating system. Wow! Our plumbing is all set now! They did all this without one night of not having working plumbing. And with all the digging and work, were amazingly neat and tidy. Contacted MVP for a leaking/dripping shower valve. They made an appointment to arrive between 1 and 3 pm. They showed up at 3:10 and said their supply house closed at 3:00. He said $425 to come back tomorrow and replace the cartridge. I called a friend who is a plumber in another county, and he said that price was absolutely outrageous! He walked me through the process over the phone. It took less than five minutes, and the part was $19 at Home Depot. The only tool required was a Phillips screwdriver. I don't know anything about their plumbing skill, but if you're going to consider using MVP, make sure you get other estimates so you don't get ripped off! read more

First off, these guys got to my place promptly in the time frame they had quoted. I thought for sure, they'd call with an "I'm running late at another job," excuses I've gotten from other service proivders. Nope. Not these guys. Right on time. I was already dreading thsi visit, because everyone always hears about plumbers, and high pricetags associated with plumbing work. I had a backed up main sewer line, and I knew it when I called them. When they got to my place, I described what the issue was and they found the cleanout, and dove right into it. I had debated renting the snake tool from Home Depot and trying to do it myself, but I'm so glad I didn't. Inside the line these guys found dozens of baby wipes the kids use to "make sure it's clean." They pulled out so many that we needed to saw through the layers of cloth paper to get it off the snake. What was most impressive, they dropped a camera in the line once they had cleared it, and right into the city line... at no cost! They allowed me to watch, mostly because I was curious, but also so that I could be witness to any issues they might find. You know, careful and hesitant customers like me are always looking out for people trying to scam you to upsell. However, it was plain, right there. My problem is a broken backwater valve in my main. I saw it. They gave me an estimate for that repair, no pressure, cleaned up, grabbed their tools, and charged me what they said they'd charge me. AND THEY EVEN GAVE ME A COUPON TO USE! I was very happy that they were available on Saturday within 2 hours of when I had a sewer backup in my garage. I was told it would be $175 and he would clean out everything. And then he found through his camera that the 6" backwater valve had broken and that it would cost between $600 and $900. He temporarily fixed the problem on Saturday, ordered the replacement part, and came back on Monday and replaced the broken valve, power washed the line and I'm good to go althought the total cost was $849. I understand that the replacement part and second visit should cost more, but that much more seems like a lot as the part is about $300 and he was only here for maybe 1.5 hours total. read more

The house's main water pipe (middle pipe shown in the pictures) burst. MVP Rooter was one of the plumber companies who not only responded to Yelp's "Request a Quote" service, but also was able to come to the site location and assessed the issue on the same day (May 1st). Eddie B. was the technician assigned to the case. He replaced the old steel water pipe with a copper one for $475 (on May 1st), and he was also hired to replace the kitchen faucet for $285 (done on May 2nd). I really appreciated Eddie's hard work and honesty. He was honest with me about his experience. He mentioned he has 3 years of experience as a plumber and is continuing to always grow in his profession. Eddie kindly notified me that I needed a pressure regulator to be replaced because the high pressure of the water system combined with old age of the pipe was what caused my main water pipe to burst in the first place. However, I couldn't afford MVP Rooter's $425 fee for the pressure regulator replacement after already spending a total of $760 for the first two cases (pipe replacement and kitchen faucet replacement). I searched for another second party to not only consult about pressure regulator replacement but also to find a more affordable option. It wasn't until today, May 7th, this second party came over and noticed/inspected Eddie's work. I didn't know what a check valve is until the second party saw that there was no check valve on the new pipe installed. I still kept the old pipe parts, and the second party was the one who showed me what a check valve is as shown in the attached pictures. I was told that it was against city code to not have a check valve, which prevents backward flow of the water entering back into the city's water line. This is where I am grateful for MVP Rooter's warranty service. Eddie returned and he apologized, which I appreciated.             Unfortunately, due to misunderstandings I was not aware of between Eddie and the second party (who was still on site), I felt very confused and stressed. I had to step in and try to de-escalate the situation between the two men. Eddie asked me to sign an avoidance agreement, but then changed his mind by leaving the site and leaving the check valve replacement with a pipe that's still disconnected. It was disconnected because the new pipe had to be cut/sawed in order to put the new check valve in. It wasn't until after Eddie left, that the second party brought to my attention that Eddie was going to crimp the pipe, but the second party wished that Eddie would weld the pipe because not only would it be a more long-term solution, but it would be exactly as close as possible to the original setting/conditions of the pipes. Second party explained to me that crimping the pipe would, yes, be faster-and cheaper but it is not the long-term solution; welding would be the preferred alternative. Because Eddie left, I had to resort to another plumber to help finish the connection by welding, and perform a pressure regulator replacement. Throughout this experience, I learned that the standard pressure range for the whole house's water system is supposed to be between 60-75 psi. Eddie was the one who showed me on May 1st/2nd that the pressure was at 90-95 psi by using his pressure gauge meter on the front yard hose faucet, and this was how he came to suggesting a new pressure regulator. It wasn't until a new plumber came and saw that the front yard hose faucet is actually connected to the city's line and comes BEFORE the pressure regulator as shown in the picture below. I was told by the new plumber that this means that Eddie was actually reading the city's water pressure, not the house's water pressure. So new plumber used his meter pressure gauge on the backyard's hose faucet, ensured that it was at 60 psi. And new plumber said, "I wish I had noticed that before I placed that new pressure regulator because maybe you didn't need a new pressure regulator in the first place." But the labor was done, and I had a new pressure regulator.    I'm sad to say that the disagreement between the two men escalated enough for Eddie to leave the site and not finish the work, but I'm grateful that it didn't escalate any further. I had to witness heated words be exchanged among the two parties, and it made me really uncomfortable and worried for everyone's safety. I only hope going forward, this business will continue to grow when it comes to professionalism and communications skills. Eddie, if you're reading this, I'm sorry that today's job ended on a bad note. I can understand what it means to have to always learn on the job, and that not all cases/assignments will be the same. I hope reading this will help you grow professionally and personally. I can't say that I had a bad experience throughout this whole ordeal, but I didn't have a good one either. Just worked with MVP rooter due to an emergency plumbing issue. The original company I contacted missed their appointment and refered MVP rooter last minute. MVP recently did a trenchless epoxy-pipelining replacement of our 80-year-old cast-iron sewer pipe, from house to city sewer connection. Mike and Alex and their crew were great ... super professional, careful, efficient, on time, and excellent clean-up afterwards. They took the time to really investigate and think through which approach would work best for our situation, and patiently answered questions so that I could get comfortable with the decision. This is an expensive job, no way around that, but I got several bids, some lower and some much higher than MVP's, so I felt that MVP's price was reasonable. Outrageous prices These guys went to one of my rental houses and charged $400 to unclog the main drain line and $400 to replace a kitchen faucet that I had replaced 2 years ago. My whole house water filter system began leaking badly when I changed the filter. The o-ring was stretched out, so I ordered more. I was without water for two days when the o-rings finally arrived yesterday. After replacing the o-ring, the leaking continued. I was desperate to find help that day and started calling various plumbers on Yelp. None of them could come out and possibly fix the problem the same day, EXCEPT MVP Rooter. Big Mike and Alex showed up an hour later (my angels of mercy!). The leak could not be fixed, so they drove to Lowe's, picked up a new whole house water filter, came back and installed it the same day...and I had running water again!!
