Plumbing 101 came to the rescue! After our third pinhole leak in our copper pipes in about two years, I discussed with Nathan the prospect of replacing all our piping. He didn't pressure me at all but recommended that I do it now because if I didn't, they would likely be back again soon to repair another leak. He gave me a good price and didn't charge extra for the original reason they came to my house, a leak in the shower pipe. His team showed up at 7 am and completed the entire house by about 6 pm. They replaced all the copper pipes with PEX piping, replaced all the shower/bathtub valves with new posi-temp valves, new handles and escutcheons, new pressure and shut off valves, new angle stops, and they replaced the washer/dryer and refrigerator cut out boxes. Instead of installing the pipes the easier way, through the attic, they routed them in a more efficient way which made them less obtrusive in the garage and supplied hot water much quicker to the faucets. They wrapped all the exposed pipes in the garage with insulation. They worked with me to minimize necessary cuts in the dry wall and stucco. His team repaired and retextured all their cuts, but paint matching and touchup was left to me. They even retextured my whole 1/2 bath that was terribly textured by me several years ago. Nathan's team was very professional and respectful of any of our concerns; they asked me to do two walk-throughs when they were done. First, to check the plumbing, and then to check the drywall repairs. It's a good thing they came because Nathan found a fourth leak in the ceiling while doing demo. Who knows how long it might have leaked before we became aware of it. I highly recommend Plumbing 101. read more

"Buy a home" they said. "It's better than paying rent" they said. While there are joys in homeownership, there are also nights where everything seems to go to poo. Like in our case where it was backing up in our showers, tubs and toilets. Well nothing says "Sleep well" like a plumbing emergency at 10pm on a Sunday. We did our "We can fix it with a little YouTube" try only to realize we couldn't find our clean out that didn't exist. In a "what about our morning poo?!" frenzy, we called one of those well-known corporate places and they had someone out at 9am the next day. Now we got great customer service, but we also got a ridiculous price tag for what turned out to be a need for a complete new pipe system (thank you 1950s cast iron). The other place was outrageous enough in pricing that we were willing to swallow a few Imodium or just get out the kitty litter to get some other quotes. Enter our longtime landscaper to the rescue! He told us about these guys and they were on it for almost 1/2 the price, fantastic customer service, knowledgeable and friendly employees and hardworking! We couldn't be happier with everything they've done and the way they treated us (two women where one used to be a building inspector ) with respect. They truly went above and beyond and we already recommend them to a neighbor with the job literally just finishing today. Best pricing in town! The owner Nathan is very honest, direct and looks out for his customers best interest. When I couldn't afford the proper repair method he offered alternative suggestions that didn't make him a penny but he just wanted to help get the job done. Nathan and his team helped us twice over the course of a month! He was responsive, punctual, and was able to help with both small and big jobs with fair pricing. Our sewer clogged on a (very) late Sunday night. Worse yet, the following day was a holiday. Bathroom, shower, or any water use would start flooding our garage. We called every "24/7" line, but Nathan was the only one to pick up my call, and got us sorted out first thing next morning. Just a few weeks later, our main water line burst, flooding our neighborhood street. I quickly called Nathan, who, over the phone, was kind enough to walk me through turning off the water from the street. His men came by later that same day to patch the line. At my request, they followed through with an entire main line replacement and even put the landscaping back when they were done. I hired him for a shower installation and to fix some of the piping in my walls that are switched from hot and cold. He made sure to leave the bathroom clean and finish the work in good quality. I've been using Nathan for years and recommend him to everyone. One time, we thought we had a leak. But when he came and assessed, something had just loosened up and turned the wrong way. He tightened it up and told us what we can buy and do to make sure it doesn't loosen up again. He didn't charge us a dime for that visit. Last year, we had an issue but it was more than plumbing. Friday night my garbage disposal started to leak pretty badly. We got some online quotes and they were around $200-$300 just for labor. Words cannot express how appreciative I am to Nathan. He is very professional, courteous, knows what he's doing, and most of all he is HONEST. I thought that the water meter at my place was not working properly due to a loud whistling sound so I called him and he suggested I contact the water company since the homeowner's association would be responsible for the repair. The water meter was replaced by the water company at no cost but the problem was still there. The repairman said I needed to contact a plumber since his company is only responsible for water meters and not water pressure regulators, which was causing the sound. I called Nathan's plumbing business and set up an appointment. Nathan was there a bit earlier than the time I was expecting, so he is also on time, another plus! He worked on the problem and to my surprise he completed his work in less than 10 minutes. He said it was just an adjustment and if the problem persisted that I would need to replace the regulator. I asked him what the cost for his service was and he didn't charge me!!! I was in total shock because of his honesty and for not charging me. Nowadays you can't really find someone as honest as he is. Years ago a plumber replaced the water meter when he was called for a different problem saying that I needed to replace the water meter.
