A little back story. Pharmacy used to be a few doors down (now an escape room spot), but they've almost always hosted neat events out front with rails and such. I just... Don't skateboard so it was out of sight out of mind somewhat to me. A few weeks ago, I was stalked and harassed by a few dudes in a van who refused to give up and of course it was on a Sunday when hours of local businesses were wonky. I instinctually made a mad dash into Pharmacy while waiting for dispatch to get in touch with me. The man behind the counter was beyond understanding, allowed me to stay as long as needed, and was there for me. *I ended up leaving with a few customers there as they were headed the way I was, strength in numbers for the win. I vowed to return to formally thank the dude and did. I learned how passionate he is with his job, as well as a bit of his history. It made me wish I took up skating because he has the knowledge that those beginning would need (without being "too good" for a newbie). The store itself is well stocked, and has a selection of Pharmacy branded tees, boards, as well as other brands as well. Heck, they even have their own newer version of finger boards to keep your hands entertained. I found the Pharmacy Ambulance board (is it deck technically?) to be especially neat. I immediately went to trying to find any merch with it on it, but it's unfortunately an old classic and discontinued. I'll keep my eyes out for any new drops with it now though. You can tell they look out for their community with the printed events on display too which is an added bonus. =)

There is a great selection of skateboards and all the accessories you need. The guy working in t he store was pretty cool and chill and offered his assistance. Becuase we were just "window shopping", we didn't make any purchases but I found some pretty cool items that my son would love so I will be back to purchase some birthday gifts for him. Parking is a bit hectic, but there is a possibility you can find street parking in the neighborhoods.

You have to send photos of the skates and then pay for shipping and a restocking fee. They also dropship their stuff, hence the often jacked prices. They don't update their inventory- i asked about a pair of scratch and dent skates but they were sold out - had the audacity to get me to order the same thing at regular price. Ugh. Id rather order from fritzys or literally any other skate shop than here.

While walking around San Pedro between 5th and 7th Streets, we came across this little gem of a store and I'm glad we did! The store was easy to shop, and we found exactly what we were looking for. But what really stood out to me was the young people working here. They were incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. It was refreshing to see young employees who were engaged, polite, and actually seemed to enjoy helping customers. That kind of customer service makes a difference.
