I got the shrimp and chicken for one and shrimp and steak for the other. But the fried rice was undercooked and hard. How was the easiest part of the meal not executed well at all? So I heard about this spot from a couple people and got mixed reviews so had to try it out. I ordered a 2 protein plate, New York Steak and Spicy Teriyaki Chiken no veggies and fried rice. I was very disappointed on both proteins. New York Steak was tough, dry and flavorless without seasoning. Spice Teriyaki Chicken was also tough and dry, it had spice but no Teriyaki flavor at all. The Fried Rice was ok but had some hard pieces like it's been sitting in a warmer for to long and the bottom over cooked and they just mixed it around. I ordered a 1 protein plate New York Steak for my wife and the protein was just as bad as mine. I got 2 Garlic butter and 2 Chili Oil and the total was $60. I have been driving by this place for a while and today I finally made myself check it out. I mean it's hibachi that's not usually hard to mess up. I ordered a two protein plate and a kids bowl. Total I paid $75 I know hibachi is pricey but not an issue when it's good. I have to say I was disappointed the filet mignon was chewy and not cut all the way it had very little flavor I used most of the yummy sauce they give you and that was mediocre at best. The shrimp was tail on and it's so frustrating when you're trying to enjoy your meal and have to peel the shrimp! It took a while to get my food I would expect to be ready to eat. I was not impressed with their food. It's a food truck so can't say much about the location. It's next to a tire shop so it smells like rubber. Very bittersweet experience with My Boyz Hibachi and not sure if I'll return. I am a hibachi LOVER and LA resident so since I was in MoVal, I wanted to get some Hibachi food so I checked out My Boyz with my girlfriend. We arrived at 11PM and ordered two protein bowls with their fried rice. Upon receiving our food, we found that our order was wrong but keep in mind, this is right before they close and we are in the middle of MoVal; the DESERT practically + weirdos outside walking. We informed the cashier of this information and he instead insisted that WE told him the wrong thing. We simply denied this though and offered that he sees the receipt, which was handed to him. Luckily, he remade our food the PROPER way but it doesn't take away from the inconvenience of the long wait. I believe the area made the experience LESS enjoyable but then again, food was good as fuck.
